Doughboys is not just about pizza. They have a good menu of choices and dinner dish didn't disappoint. There 2 sizes of dinner. Large and larger. I chose the larger and it was huge. Starts of mf with a salad and garlic rolls. Then the main course. The sauce was sweet and tasty. Lots of cheese on the eggplant parmigiana. A generous portion of angel hair. Horrible customer services the out of shape loser at the cash register looks like he is miserable. It's not our fault you dropped out of elementary and amounted to nothing. Pathetic human. Great food, Excellent pizza, and they have a good lunch menu. Came here for a quick lunch, the food came out fairly quickly. I had the manacotti and an eggplant parmesan with a side of meatballs and garlic rolls. The Margherita pizza is also an excellent choice! Everything was savory, and flavorful. I used to go here when I was 8-10 years old and loved the pizza. Im glad that they kept the delicious and large sliced pizza. We ordered at the counter, and the cashier was very nice. They updated the interior since I have been back, and it's definitely a step up from previously! I just love this place. I went back and forth about whether this was a 4 or a 5, but overall, it's a 5. This is a no-frills Italian restaurant, meaning you order at the counter and they serve you at a table of your choice. Sometimes you get silverware, sometimes you get plasticware, and the drinks are in plastic disposable cups. All these things add up to a good quality restaurant that everyone can afford. In fact, one of the best aspects of this restaurant is that for about $18, you get a respectable portion, but for $22 you get double the amount! I have gotten four meals out of one of their large orders. Another reason we keep coming back is the folks are nice, especially the lady who's usually at the cash register. Very good pizza. I'm actually not a huge fan of their sauce, but this is such a reliable, consistent, restaurant that is such a good value that I recommend it to anyone without reservation. Let me start by saying that the staff here was amazing. They were very friendly and attentive. When we got our food, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the pizza slices. They were huge! With that being said, I wasn't a huge fan of the taste of the pizza. I was a little too bland for me, but my son enjoyed it. Food didn't take long. I was impressed by the generous portions. It was plenty of food for our family of four. My husband got the spinach calzone for me. He ordered a small or medium but it was huge. I barely made a dent. The dough was great, but the filling was missing something. It wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. I enjoyed the caesar salad. Dough Boys is a very solid 3 stars in my opinion. I actually ate their pizza at an event last night. What amazed me the most was how this pizza stayed hot for so long. Multiple pizzas were on the table and someone was serving them. I had a couple of very small square slices at the beginning and then several more small squares from the last box. Incredible. Must have been at least 30 minutes apart. I have never seen pizza stay that hot for that long. The pizza itself is extremely greasy. I don't like that so I had to wipe off a lot of the grease. The pizza itself tastes pretty good. I think the sauce is sort of on the sweet side. Sauce is a very important part of a pizza for me and I like a more vibrant and not sweet sauce. The pizza is very cheesy. I had lots to drink by the time I had the last serving of pizza. To me, the pizza tastes the same from first to last. I do believe this pizza goes well with drinking. I ordered a slice of meatball pizza and it was huge and crispy NY style pizza. I ordered a Caesar salad that was fresh romaine lettuce, slivers of Parmesan cheese and dressing on side. Unique that lettuce was such big chunks. This special came with a drink from their soda founts8n and I was pleasantly surprised to see they had carbonated water. The cannoli was excellent. I have lived in Fort Lauderdale almost my entire life and I know this place is considered a staple. We were looking for a late night bite on a Sunday and this place was one of the few still open. It's quick service, you go up to the counter to place your order and they bring it to your table or to you for take out. The dining area is clean, but nothing exciting. The food is OK at best. We got the garlic knots, which didn't have much flavor. We also got Caesar salads that were.....fine? bland? and then the pizza was so droopy I had to eat it with a fork and knife. The pizza had decent flavor and a nice thick crust, but it was OK. Honestly, my whole experience would be defined as OK. It did the trick, but we won't probably come back unless we're in a pinch. read more

We got the fettuccini alfredo, Sicilian deep dish, & garlic rolls. The pizza was decent but the sauce was mediocre and so was the crust. The Alfredo sauce tasted and smelled as if the cheese they used went rotten.. only thing that was somewhat edible were the garlic rolls. The place was very empty for a Friday evening but it was on the earlier side. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. We ordered a 10 inch pizza and a side salad. Firstly, we love this place and have been coming here for 20 years even though we live 25 miles away. Every time my kids fly in, they insist we go to Doughboys. Best Pizza anywhere...... So yesterday Son#1 is flying back home and wants to go there before his flight. We drive down, so he had a meatball meal, my DH had pizza, and I ordered a 1/2 sub, steak and onion and peppers, specifically no cheese and no mushrooms. When mine came, it looked "funny". At first it looked like mayo on the roll, then there were these small white things on the peppers and the meat. I put on my readers and it was residue of cheese that was scraped off. I went to the counter and the lady did not question my comment that it looked like it was made with cheese and they scraped it off, which is why the meal took so long to be ready. She asked if I wanted something else, and though not my favorite I asked for a slice thinking it would be quick. Not quick enough because everyone was pretty much done by the time they heated the slice to 900°. What if I had just eaten the sub and didn't notice anything and was allergic to cheese. I could have ended up at a hospital. They knew they made a mistake, and instead of just remaking my sandwich, they tried to pass it off. That is why I am upset and downgraded the review. Restaurants can't do that. It is not right. They could have come over and told me there was an issue and brought some rolls, or a side salad until my dinner was ready, but no, they tried to cover it up, and could have seriously hurt me or the next person they do this too. When I called the restaurant to tell them what happened, the rude lady IRINA that picked up said there was nothing she could do about it except exchange it. AND the only way I could get an exchange is if I brought back the food with the bugs in it!!! And when I was simply trying to explain how I threw it out the rude woman IRINA hung up on me! Each time I tried to call back, they would not pick up the phone! They would put me on hold for a long time or just hang up right away. Here's the proof. My husband and I randomly came here to try the pizza. We picked the vegetarian pizza because it had black olives, onions, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms, and green peppers. I added pepperoni just because I love pepperoni! We also ordered garlic rolls and marinara sauce. First, there were plenty of vegetables on the pizza. Every bit was chalked full of veggies.
