We have recently lost two pizza places near us so we've been on the hunt for a place to call our go-to for pizza, which is why we decided to try Pie-Zans. We placed an order for pick up and were told it'd be ready by a certain time but when we arrived we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our order. Also, there seemed to be some sort of argument between the workers since they were shouting at each other when we walked in. We got home (less than a 5 min drive away) and I normally like my pizza crust crispy but we ordered the House Special (pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatball, roasted peppers, onions, and black olives) and I'm guessing there must have been too many ingredients on top that the crust got a bit soggy by the time we went to eat it. Definitely not a fan of soggy pizza. Even putting it in the oven didn't help. Garlic knots were decent. Hot take: Based on other reviews maybe this style of pizza just isn't our thing. read more

On a recent trip to FLL I decided to try out some local pizza. I needed something that delivered late and wanted New York Style. After looking at Yelp I came across this restaurant and decided to place an order. I got the small cheese pizza with sweet sausage and a Caesar salad. My food arrived on time and the driver, thru grub hub, was nice. I don't think she ate any of my food as a recent news article states that many drivers taste the food they deliver. The pizza was very good, perfect temp, right amount of chew, crust was good thickness, and cheese was yummy. Now the salad.... Lor't someone must've been mad at it or not paying attention because they put entirely TOO much dressing on salad. I didn't get to enjoy this as much as pizza because it was drenched in dressing. I had such high hopes looking for my new pizza place after my favorite place for pizza didn't make it through the pandemic. I stopped into the unassuming place and picked up my pie, right out of the oven so it was hot and fresh when I got home. Ordering was easy so I had high hopes. It was good . . it just wasn't great. The toppings were fine but I wouldn't order the sausage the next time as it was crumbled and not actual chunks of sausage. It was kind of dry and tasteless. We ordered here on 12/22/18 after a 6 day cruise. We were tired and wanted to just order get it delivered eat and veg. The pizza guy came right on time and I still think he had the oven in his car. Ah I guess they changed ownership? This is NOT the same quality pizza. At all. The original owners were from Jersey and made amazing pizza. I read the negative reviews and didn't want to believe it. But sadly it's true. I ordered just a plain cheese and it was "frozen pizza tasting" floppy dough no sauce, and burnt cheap cheese on top. Worst of all no flavor. When I lived in the area the place was always packed on Sunday, this place was like a ghost town. I can see why. So sad. I really wish them well and that they can up their game. I'm glad I tried this place. I've driven by many times and am always on the lookout for good pizza. Sometimes it's the ones that are "hole in the wall" types. We order pick up since it was our first time. There were parking spaces along the side once you turn off of the busy Andrews Rd. Going in - this place is definitely a take out or delivery place. No seating besides some stools along a small bar table along the front. This place definitely reminded me a pizza place you'd find in New England, family owned, and knows what they are doing! Check out was a bit slow since the credit card machine is from 1989 but once we got home with the food, we weren't disappointed. The pizza is a thin crust and cooked to where it's just below well down. I'll prob ask if they can cook it longer next time I order. We got all cheese and half spicy sausage and an order of the cheesy bread. We also got some chicken wings - medium. The cheesy bread is simple and came with delicious sauce to dip and i was happy with the cheese pizza. My only complaint is the spicy sausage was not at all spicy to me (not sure if they put the regular sausage by accident). The wings were pretty decent. Tiny, not a ton of meat, but the perfect medium heat. All and all, great pizza. Good prices. And I'm definitely trying some meatballs next time! read more

Worst pizza I have had it was cold on a five mile ride my order was wrong. I called to complain they told me to call grub hub I have never talked to grub hub ever. so its my 2nd time ordering from piezan's. i enjoy their NY style thin crust pizza and like that they have the cane sugar coke (thats the only way to drink it)! While the pizza is great, ill have to withhold that fifth star because I ordered 2 and before the order went out I received a call from Piezan's letting me know the order was about to go out but that they didnt have anymore cane sugar coke. I had initially asked for the 2 sodas to be taken off my bill and send a refund to my card of just the 2 items (I know its possible i work at a pizzeria myself). But it was not allowed for some reason and I was offered cane sugar sprite as a replacement. While they both are cane sugar Sprite is not the same as Coke. I just received a food order of 2 hot subs Chicken Parmesan, Meatball Parmesan and a pizza which I ordered well done. It was disgusting. The pizza was so undercooked and white. Both sandwiches probably were made a month ago. The meatballs tasted like old meatloaf. The chicken was little chunks of crunchy matter. The food was inedible. I called to speak to a manager and received a voice mail at the restaurant. Had to call back from 2 different phones. I finally got through and had to wait for the attitude ridden manager. Piezan's featuring pizza and Frankie's meatballs isn't eally much of a restaurant but more of an order and take out place. There are counter like arrangements at which to eat but only one table with three stools, so if you're a large group, you may have a problem dinning unless some of your companions are dogs and don't mind dinning on the floor. I tried Frankie's meatballs which were big, just slightly smaller than baseball size, delicious, served smothered in a fresh tasting tomato sauce and, if you eat in, served with a cloth napkin along with metal (not plastic) flatware which to me was a surprising treat; particularly when the tab for two meatballs with bread and a soda, tax included, only came to $6.18. Piezan's also has a reputation for their pizza, once voted best pizza in Lauderdale by Channel 10, but having tried a slice I do have to say that it was good but didn't find anything outstanding or impressive about it. As a food take out with rock bottom prices, I have to give it a Four Star. As a restaurant, well I can't even rate it as such because it really isn't.....it's a take out; pretty much of a joint which makes my review somewhat subjective to me, so overall a solid Three Plus. read more

I have ordered takeout delivery from Pie-Zans twice. The pizza and rolls are very good. The only downside is when the pizza arrives it's not hot... at all. Pie-zan's has the best pizza in South Florida hands-down. This is our go to for pizza takeout. We usually get the large pepperoni and have leftovers for breakfast. Sometimes we ask to add caramelized onions to it. The homemade cheesecake is creamy and amazingly delicious. We also like the grilled wings although they can take a little bit longer so don't order if you're hangry. My husband gives the meatball sub 2 thumbs up. Couldn't taste the sauce at all it was there mostly for color (overcooked). I had one slice and my stomach started hurting so that was that. Alexis was my server and I was promptly offered a menu. Seeking a to-go order, I was more into a sandwich for my evening meal. Ordering the 50/50 Parmigiana, the sandwich was a meatball and sausage parmigiana straight up. Alexis inquired whether I wanted a drink and when I stated "no," she offered up that for a dollar more I could have a Dr. Brown's soda and a bag of chips. I spent the extra buck. Sandwich preparation was a little slow but not unexpected. The menu warned that everything was made to order and that preparation time could take longer. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. The crust was pretty decent, but after trying other magnificent crusts (Mellow Mushroom) It's hard to settle for a plain old crust.
