And she gave me my Water. 20 minutes go by with an empty glass and no food has arrived. When I received my meal the steak was very poorly cooked and what I mean by that is the steak was well done and equivalent to a 12oz piece of gristle. I brought it up to the bar tender that the meal was not good at all. I did however eat the veggies which was the best part of the meal. Her manager came up and quickly said she will give me a 20% discount on my meal. I did not hear from anyone after that for another 30 min until I stood up. Put my coat on and was about to just leave. The bartender finally came back and handed me my check. In which my meal after tip (yes I still tipped 20%) was $40. So that being said I paid $40 for a small saucer of veggies because I didn't even eat the steak. Unfortunately from what people all over the Douglas area says is that the Derby has probably the worst steak in Town, I can understand the one off meal but the service is by far sub par and management should consider teaching their bartenders/servers that excellent service get customers to come back.

I hate it when this stuff happens. Just seems shady. The next, is that I ordered the garden burrito that the manager said was the best vegetarian option. The menu literally starts describing it as "no meat" but afterwards I felt sick to my stomach all day. I looked through the Yelp reviews and someone else said the refried beans have lard in them (pork product). I wanted to fact check so called the restaurant and sure enough there's *bleeping* lard in the refried beans!! Ugh I'm so upset!!
