The aesthetic is stunning, and the clothing and gorgeous wallpaper completely caught my attention. The customer service was spectacular from the moment we walked in. The associates were warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to share the history behind the brand, which made the visit even more enjoyable. My favorite fragrances were Bitter Splash and Vanille Camouflage. Both are absolutely beautiful and unique. As expected, the prices are definitely on the luxury end, but that's to be expected from such an established designer brand. Even if you're just browsing, I'd highly recommend stopping in to experience the boutique. It's a beautiful space that's worth visiting.

I hadn't heard of the shop before visiting, and we went because there was a sale. They apparently had some water damage in January and just had opened back up... and wanted to release some of the damaged and unfinished clothes for discounted prices. First I need to mention that the management and owner were standing outside and greeting everyone, chatting with them. I heard the full story of how this place came about, and the struggles they went through during covid and the rain. Just a great group of people running the shop and you really root for them to succeed. I bought two t-shirts, a sweatshirt and a hat. It has become my favorite pieces of clothing. The shirts are comfortable but thick material, and don't hug you in an unflattering way. They fit so well. I will definitely come back once they have a new round of inventory to check out their stuff.

The store's striking brutalist concrete architecture is the perfect stage for the latest fashions and curated vintage pieces showcased inside. I've always been so impressed by the service at this Maxfield location. You are greeted at the door and the sales people do eye you up and down to see what you're wearing and your personal style but they are courteous and trying to help you find what you're looking for or what brands you like. Luis Rodriguez helped me and my friend this last visit and he is simply outstanding. Such a great eye for detail and so knowledgeable and passionate about Maxfield and everything they have in the store. Really helpful, and he made my friend's visit to the store special and he loved his purchases. This store has always been extremely cool and cutting edge and brought the work of so many new designers to LA. The avant garde design tradition has continued with their installation of a Jean Prouvé 1957 pre-fabricated "Structure Nomade" which was brought from France and reconstructed next to the store at 8825 Melrose, with a 100 year old olive tree planted next to it. They showcase stunning fashion and art installations inside its glass walls. Maxfield also has a dramatically designed Chrome Hearts store (by appointment only) next door on Robertson. You can inquire about it in this store. Maxfield is like a modern art museum with the statues outside, the stark angular concrete walls, the single large display window facing Melrose, the beautiful and dramatic lighting at night and the way everything is exhibited inside. It's definitely a must see in Los Angeles and there's nothing else like it. Items can be very expensive but they also have a fabulous sale at the end of each season that shouldn't be missed.
