All 4 of my children have gone to this doctor office since my oldest was a year old. She is now almost 20. We absolutely love Dr Melendez. We have been going to him for 20 years. I was super sad went he stopped seeing regular patients and now only see special needs. It's really hard to switch doctors when you have been with the same one for this long. Over the years the office hasn't been perfect but Dr. Melendez has always been awesome. Recently I tried to make an appointment for my child and the office is closed-no reason or notice just a sign on the door. Does anyone know if or when they are going to reopen? read more

Took my 2 year old here for a visit today 9/20/2019. Appointment was supposed to be at 11, she is throwing up in the waiting room and no one bothered to check in until the nurse came out and even then she still was not seen. We ended up leaving at 12:30 pm and having to call just to get the co-pay refund bc no one would come to the front to address the complete lack of professionalism. New pediatrician for my child. If I had an option to pick zero stars I would. I highly recommend anyone to pick another facility. The front office staff is rude and unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled for a specific time, called the office the Friday before the appointment to double check appointment time, showed up on time and was told I missed my appointment and had to reschedule. This started an ongoing argument over a ten minute time period. They told me I had a ten minute grace period which I was STILL in and then they still refused to see me. Bad practices, horrible customer service, and an unkept office made this such an awful experience. We were treated like we were liars trying to benefit from who knows what. Do not go here. read more

This was our first visit to the office. The staff was unprofessionally dressed and seemed disinterested in the patient upon arrival. The waiting room was dirty and provided no separation for sick and well patients. The nurse who called us back was rude and demanded instead of asking. The exam room was also very dirty and the Nurse Practitioner that saw my kids really had no idea what to diagnose my kids with. I would never recommend this office to anyone nor would I ever take my children back to them again. Even my kids felt they needed a shower when we left. Awful, terrible, bad! read more

First of all I want to say I never do reviews, but due to the nature of this visit, I had to. I made an apt on Friday for 3 sick kids. I brought my sister along to help me. The young lady in the front was very rude, unprofessional and GHETTO! No matter how nice and courteous I was, it didn't mirror how she was responding towards me. Well while my daughter was in the room with my son who came in for abdominal pain, fever, vomit, loss of appetite, and nausea she texted me so I could come in there while she sat in my daughter. Well apparently according to the doctor his stomach was hurting because I wasn't feeding him enough. Only eating one meal would make anyone stomach hurt. I was like are you kidding me? That's why we're here, he doesn't have an appetite, he's vomiting and can't keep anything down. She proceeded to say that it was only a virus. Well that's nothing because when she saw my daughter and listened to her stomach she said, "Her stomach is gurgling and that can't be normal." I work with doctors and have an Associates in Health Information Technology and the terms that she was using and the things that she was telling me about my daughters care was just Ludacris. In my opinion she was very incompetent. I almost felt like she wasn't even aware of what was going on. I was very upset because I got off work early to avoid going to the ER and still ended up going to the ER. Then to make matters worse my oldest wasn't able to be seen, they marked her as a no show because their policy permits anyone besides the parent taking the child to the back to be seen. Meanwhile I was there with other sick kids, explained this to them from the beginning. At first I was going to beg the doctor to see my oldest child, but after realizing that she was incompetent, I decided that I'd rather risk going to the ER. This was the worst experience that I've experienced at an office. I will never go again. I will also be copying/pasting this review on as many websites as possible because no one should go through what me and my family did.
