Here, Santos and crew were hands on installing insulation, siding, trim and eaves. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship notable. When the gutter installers, Amilcar and crew, remark on how well the siding, eaves and trim have been installed, you take notice. All enhanced by their great gutter install. From the very first phone call in order to set up an appointment to get a quote for repairing my roof, to the final payment I made to them after the job was done, it was like I had a partner. Kevin came out and did the inspection. Then sat with me on the phone call with the Insurance company to place claim for wind damage. Kevin came back when the insurance inspector came out, and instead of just a repair Kevin was able to get whole roof replacement approved. They were very professsional with the actual job and got it all finished in the time they said they would. I am set with a peace of mind about my roof for many years to come. I wish to thank Kevin the Inspector for the hand holding with the insurance company. James the estimator who worked with the Insurance adjuster to fine tune the proper amount needed for the job to be done right. Haley who came out and help me with the shingle type and color choice and discussed with me all the options. Nick the project manager who scheduled and coordinated materials. All the workers who showed up on time and completed the job on time and cleaned up afterwards. Doug (who i believe is the owner of the business) who visited the jobsite to make sure all was going well about half way through, and finally Sean who reached out from accounting to make sure everything was finished and get the signatures for a completed job and submit the pictures and proof of work to the insurance and complete payment. I contacted this company due to the positive reviews I had seen and subsequently requested a roofer to come out and provide an estimate. The roofer went out and did his thing and I followed up to ask for the details and what his thoughts were. I received a talk to text message that was garbled and was informed I would receive an estimate within the next several days. I followed up again and was ultimately ghosted. Harvey worked really hard with state farm to get my home roof replaced but state farm didn't think it was serious enough. They were super responsive and came out to look at my leak very quickly. They were able to fix it on the spot. I would highly recommend!

Initial quote was relatively low, the salesman was somewhat rude and impatient but not enough to make me pursue another company. We knew we had three layers of shingles on our roof, the quote included removal of two layers with an additional $2,200 per layer, somehow an extra layer of shingles was discovered so our decent quote jumped an additional $4,400 once the shingles started coming off. This part we weren't expecting but it is what it is, the sheathing on our roof was old and needed to be replaced or they would not warranty the work, another $8,600 for plywood, which we tried to buy ourselves and save some money and we were laughed at by the salesman, who said "What exactly are you trying to do here?" Easy to double your quote when the homeowner doesn't have a roof on their house.... We had also payed to have a chimney removed but I came home one day and the chimney was still there and nobody on the roof spoke English and it was 7:30pm, of course nobody from Douglas answered the phone, fortunately I was able to use a translator to tell the crew and they removed it the next day. Additionally the crew came with their families and stayed nearly the entire time causing our driveway to be unusable, as well as covered in McDonald's trash. During clean up the roofers used my snow shovels to scoop up the debris that was everywhere causing damage to them, and the cleanup was done quickly and not thoroughly, I found two nails in our tires and at least 25-35 still on the ground. My son stepped on one which went into his foot, my dog stepped on a piece of metal that sliced his foot badly enough to need stitches and antibiotics ($800 more to my expense). I called them back to get a proper clean up and they sent one very friendly guy who was here a couple hours and still didn't get everything, I had to buy a magnet ($) and slow walk my yard to ensure no more injuries to kids/pets. Additionally, found that our gutters had not been reinstalled properly and we're pouring water out directly over our entryway doors causing ice to form, they did send someone out to fix that but they left their tools there as well as all the trimming from the metal that they had to cut to fix the gutters. I found bricks in my front yard from the chimney. I continue to find shingle pieces and nails everywhere and there's black rubber marks all over the side of my house from their ladders that they had leaning up against my vinyl siding which is white. This was overall a horrible experience from start to finish, beware of the low quote you get because they're going to find a way to get you, and once you have your roof off, they've got you over a barrel because you're unprotected. I wish we would have went with someone else once they hit us with the additional costs because the quality was not equal to what we were paying. And the customer service was terrible, communication was terrible, cleanup was terrible. And finally when I tried to get them to make it right and at least pay for the vet bills for my dog. I heard nothing back and had to call back multiple times for weeks. Finally being told that I guess we're not doing anything about that. Very dissatisfied customer. I hope everyone who's considering using Douglas roofing has a chance to read this review before they decide to. read more

Not enough good words for this company. Every step of the way the team helped us get this taken care of. Marc was excellent and worked with us to get everything arranged. The process was hassle free and very professional. The installation was done in one day and the crew was exceptional. Our neighbors even commented on how clean they left the area even after having to replace plywood. They cleaned up every inch of area they worked on and did an exceptionally detailed job of cleaning up any debris and nails. Our updated and upgraded roof looks perfect and was an exceptional value. They provided two options and the differences between the two. They did the repair shortly after the estimate and the work is perfect. They were on time, worked diligently to repair and left no mess. I hired this contractor to fix my roof leaking problem last fall. The reason to pick this company is that their price is relatively low and their people didn't mind going inside the attic to check the problem. Everything seemed very smoothly but it still leaked after they fixed the problem. I called the company to check again and they just told me that was caused by structure problem and the leaking only happened during heavy rains. I didn't pay too much attention to the issue since I still have some trust on the company. This summer because of a lot of rains, I decided to get another contractor to look at this issue. The first one just looked at the list of items this company claimed to fixed and told me they almost did nothing for more than $800 I paid. However the worst news came from another contractor who checked both inside and outside, and told me that the leaking got much worse, and mold problem began to happen in the attic! Now the estimate to fix it is almost 10 times higher!!! If you don't want to waste your time and money, stay away from the company! read more

I received a referral to contact Douglas Roofing from another professional. The task at hand was completing several issues from a home inspection contingency checklist for the sale of my townhouse. However, the missing shingles was the most urgent as a storm was brewing. I called early in the morning and by noon I had an estimate. With my go ahead, the work was done the same day before close of business (and more importantly before the storm). Not only did they complete the three items that needed repair from the contingency checklist, they fixed another minor issue and countered an issue that were found in the comprehensive inspection report. As evidence of the work completed, I received pictures of the finished projects. And, they mapped the invoice to respond to the contingency checklist.
