I have used them in the past and looked past their unprofessional behavior and inability to set a date/time. Most recently 7/5 They came to replace my neighbor's roof. We are in a townhouse. They did not care where they were throwing all the old roofing material. It was all over my driveway instead of the truck they were suppose to be putting it in, in my backyard, and on my deck. When I confronted them they claimed wind- wind does not block an entire driveway with trash. Then I caught them walking around my roof. They had no business on my roof except to cause damage because I told them to clean up the mess they made of my driveway & yard. Alerting the office is pointless- I have never experienced such rude behavior and indignation when told their crew was causing damage on my house. This company needs to be shut down. This company is outstanding in my book. I know I see some bad reviews and wonder if the person writing them had been courteous to LVR when they called or interfaced with these people. I called them on a recommendation from a friend and I am glad that I did. They came, fixed the problem within a half an hour and were gone. The team was polite and responsive to any of my questions. I appreciated all that they accomplished and how I was treated as a customer! Even their phones were answered courteously and I felt valued as a potential customer. After a BIG windstorm, our 17 year old roof lost a few asphalt shingles. I called Loudoun Valley Roofing the next morning, described the situation and the type of shingles I have (grey architectural shingles). They have a flat rate for this kind of repair, which was reasonable (especially considering I do not want to risk being up on the roof). They scheduled the work the SAME DAY, and made the repair before I even got home from work. I've seen other roof patching before, and the new shingles never match and the house looks cruddy and "worn down" after the repair. But it is way too costly to replace the entire roof, so people just stick it out with this patchwork looking roof. Not so with Loudoun Valley. They made a PERFECT MATCH on my roof, and I was straining to see where the repair had been made. Really nice job, decent price, and super quick service! What more can you ask for really? read more

I had Loudoun Valley Roofing out to repair some holes in the roof. The roofer that came was courteous, efficient, took time to explain the work to me, and cleaned up after himself. My only complaint is that I had to give my credit card number to make an appointment. The come when they can since I don't have to be home to work on the roof. If the repair can be done within the amount quoted on the phone then they do the work and charge the credit card. If it costs more, they write an estimate back at the shop and come back to do the repair work. I wonder if what I paid was a little high. read more

Not recommended. Woman booking was grumpy. Promised they would call before showing up at the door. No call. Tech said nobody told him. Were supposed to seal dormers for the flat rate service work of $500. No work done. Crawled up ladder...took many, many photos...conferred with an "estimator" & said they'd send me a proposal. Translation they want to rip off my dormer roofs & redo when all it needs is minor flashing voids revealed with roof sealer. Contractors need to do what the customer requests & not upsell to an unnecessary job costing thousands. Minor snow seepage during heavy winters on a 9 yr old roof. So waste of time for all. We had them roof an office building. Their communication on when they would do the work was poor However they did a very good job Also the contract price was substantially more than the final bill. From the beginning, I wasn't treated properly as a customer. I guess it should have been a warning sign when they said they didn't make appointments for anyone to come out and just do roofing repair: they would come out sometime in the next couple of days. They did come out, and put a new roof boot around my sewer vent pipe, but they just knocked on the door (the day I came home from the hospital, no less!) No phone call before hand, which would have been at least polite. the 2 hispanic gentlemen did get the job done, language barriers nothwithstanding- this is why they get 1 star. They said there'd be an estimate for a roof replacement in a few days in my email.A few days later- nothing. I called in, and was told estimates take 7-10 business days, so I waited 10 days before calling again. I ended up talking to a very rude woman named Heather, who at first told me my last name was misspelled Iin their system; then confused my addrss with a relative's a few towns over; questioned if I called the right place (when they'd just fixed my roof leak!) and finally said she's not going to send out an estimator for someone unless they say they're definitely going to replace their roof and I should have known from the nonexistant invoice that I was supposed to call in. I asked her if this is the way she'd like to be treated as a customer and she affected not to know what I was talking about. I hung up as it was clear they didn't want my business and I won't deal with liars. I got the invoice the next day in the mail and there was no indication I needed to do anything. I don't know why such a simple document took so long- it looked like it could have been created on anyone's home computer. the bottom line: the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing and the office staff are rude & full of excuses for poor customer service. They blamed me, the customer, for their own shortcomings and wasted 2 weeks of my time when there was apparently never anything put into their computer. Not my problem! The kicker is that they came highly recommended to me by a family friend who said they gave her the best price. But "best price" doesn't always mean good service or a quality repair. I didn't get a chance to see if their quality is good or not- couldn't get past the bad service. This is the second time we have used Loudoun Roofing to repair the roof on our home. Both times they came out promptly, they were efficient in getting the job done, the patchwork was a perfect match, and the overall job looked great! After a recent wind storm and getting inundated with callers the company was prepared to take callers even after hours on an organized voicemail system. They returned our call the next business day and put us on the schedule. My neighbor was also interested in getting some patchwork done on his roof so I mentioned it to the workers and after they finished our roof they went and fixed my neighbors as well. This has been a great company to work with and we will definitely be using them again with any roofing issues we have in the future! read more

On March 12th, there was a severe wind storm. Leaving the house the next day, I was approached by a man who said we had shingles missing and plywood was showing, which is very bad. He went on to say they could come back to put up an "emergency tarp" for $1200, we would then call our insurance company, an adjuster would come out and a tarp installed. His business card listed a VA license # and had a Manassas address but there still was an uneasy feeling about a company making unsolicited neighborhood visits right after a storm. The next day, I called LVR knowing perfectly well they would be extremely busy. Heather was VERY helpful and said they would try their best to get to our home by Sunday (another snow storm was possible on Sunday evening, so they knew the urgency for homeowners) but couldn't make any promises given the amount of work needed in the area. As another reviewer stated, LVR asked for a credit card up front but nothing would be charged until work was done. We were ok with that, as they, too, don't know who is making the call. (Note: Before calling, know the color ((black, gray, brown)) of your existing shingles.) To our surprise, on Saturday morning the LVR crew was all over our roof evaluating what needed to be done. They not only replaced the missing shingles but also repaired any other loose roofing. I would say their entire stay was about 30 mins, if that. Looking at the repaired roof now, you can't even tell we had any work done.... The new tiles blend in nicely with the old. While our repair was relatively minor, LVR was quick and thorough. We can now rest easy knowing (a) our roof is protected, and (b) it was done by professionals. Meanwhile several of our neighbors now have tarps on their house, have to wait for insurance payments and STILL have to get someone out to repair the roof. The "roof chasers" made $3600 on our little street and we paid way less than $1K to a reputable company to make a one-time visit. Had shingles blown off during wind storm in 2011 and a leak in a window that required removal of siding and flashing to repair. There was widespread damage in the area and roofers were super busy and probably could have gouged customers on prices. Loudoun Valley Roofing responded to call promptly, scheduled the work, came on time, fixed all perfectly, reasonable rates in my opinion. Sorry for late review. read more

I have used Loudoun Valley Roofing in the past and they did a great job. I recently had them back out to do a estimate on additional work. Received an estimate after I called to inquire about it. Then called to schedule the work was referred to Tomas on several different occasions who was polite and replied we are on the schedule each time I called, someone will call to confirm. It is several weeks later and I am still waiting. I am done waiting and calling other companies. Whatever happened to a call or email giving customers a idea of the scheduling or if you can't do the work. It used to be called "common courtesy". read more

We decided to use this company because of the positive reviews online. Not only they did a terrible job but they constantly lied to us about what is being done. After installing shingles on the roof, their contractor installed brand new gutters on the old soffit. We had to talk to the company's rep and pay extra $$ to replace the soffit. Two weeks later their contractors show up in our back yard and start working on replacing the soffit (mind me without telling us they are going to start working on our property). After a couple of hours, I noticed that they are not replacing the old boards and simply nailing the new cover on the rotten boards. When I inquired what is going on, the contractor quite disrespectfully and dismissively told me to call the company rep because they were told not to replace anything since thought that the old insulation may fall out. We called the company rep and they said the contractor never called them to check on this. Go figure who is honest in this story! On top of this they constantly smoked on our property and left a huge mess. After a tough discussion with the company rep, the contractors came back the next morning with the new boards and started replacing the rotten pieces (and again never knocked on the door to tell us they are on our property). We have two newborns and this job has not only taken much longer than we thought, but also was hard for our little ones with all the noise and mess it left behind. Never would recommend this company and I hope people do their research before using them. So sad to spend over $7K on this. read more

These guys are amazingly professional. They replaced our old roof and the entire process was awesome. There was an initial estimate, which was thorough and detailed at a line item level and about $8K-$10K cheaper than all the other snake oil salesmen we suffered through for roofs of comparable quality and warranty, and we installed a 50 year warranty roof. There was no pressure or cheap sales tactics to make a quick close. The actual install happened exactly as planned, and professionally. Prior to getting the new roof, these guys helped us multiple times during major snowstorms when no other roofing company was around to help, and the pricing was still reasonable while everybody else was busy extorting money from helpless and desperate households. Of course, we have not needed any additional services for the last 3 years since we got the new roof, and that is precisely because they did a thorough job. However, if we do need help, we know who to call without any hesitation. read more

Loudoun Valley Roofing has replaced blown off shingles on our roof a couple of times. We live in an extremely windy area, and had previously used another company. It always seemed to turn out that we needed 2 bundles of shingles instead of 1, or we needed something special done. Loudoun Valley Roofing had a slightly higher initial quote, but they showed up promptly, did the work, and in the end, they were less expensive by far. They have also repaired a leak and did some maintenance work on our roof, repairing the caulking around the vents. They did a good job and did it at a reasonable price. Recently, after this last huge wind, we needed some more shingles replaced. They made it out the same day we called. We're very happy with Loudoun Valley Roofing. read more

Not only was the person exceptionally friendly and accommodating on the phone, she had someone out to fix everything within an hour! I have a decorative balcony on the front of my house that was leaking into my garage. Loudoun Valley Roofing had the best proposal for a Duradek replacement. The gentleman who came to do the inspection was very professional and knowledgeable. I felt completely at ease hiring them to do the work. During the process, I did have some concerns which they immediately addressed. Overall, I am thrilled with the quality of work. It took them quite a while to get my bill out to me and I was afraid of sticker shock as I've heard of jobs going well over the proposal. The bill was equal to the proposal and I couldn't be happier with this company. They have my business for the future!! read more

Extremely poor customer service. Elaina who schedules the appointments is very rude. I found it odd that we had to leave a credit card on file before anyone even came out to see our roof. A few days after I called I received a phone call stating the roofer would be out on a Thursday and he didn't actually show up until the following Tuesday. I called and left a message when the roofer was a no show and there was no return call made to me. Second sign that I should have canceled the work order! When I called regarding our invoice I was rudely told that they did not schedule an appointment for us and that it was just a "courtesy call" to let us know when the roofer was coming, but it doesn't guarantee that the roofer will show up that day. Then what's the point of the courtesy call? When I originally scheduled the work order I was told I needed to call the office once the roofer arrived if I wanted him to use shingles we already had on hand. Since we didn't know when the roofer was coming we obviously never made the call to okay using our own shingles. This voided the warranty. Very disappointing. We always try to use local business when we can, but we will never call Loudoun Valley Roofing again. It's too bad because we will be in need of a new roof soon. read more

We had a dish left on our roof from the previous owner's our neighbor recommended this company. My husband called and made a appointment and told me it was $420 to have it removed and the holes fixed which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. I called to see if there was a coupon or if they had any deals and could help with the prices and they weren't willing to work with me at all. They arrived, put a ladder on my house, climbed up, unscrewed the dish, brought it back down, went back up and did some hammering. Bam it took15 minutes. I'm not even sure they filled the holes in from where the dish was there were up there that quick and well my husband and I will never know because we won't be going up there. Then they were actually about to leave the dish in my yard til I asked them to take it with them and mind you they didn't take any wiring down left over from the dish. I had a attic fan installed by Mr. Handyman for $520 and he was here for a few hours. This company worked for 15 minutes and charged us $420 to remove a dish and hammer a few piece's of shingles on. SERIOUSLY I have never felt so robbed and cheated IN MY LIFE! I get that we live in a nice area but we don't have money to throw away like this. DO NOT use this company, they clearly rip you off and don't care about customer service of fair pricing. I have NEVER been so disgusted with a company until now. read more
