This is a review of Dr. Sergey Rhektman, not the entire dept…read more My appointment was scheduled for 9:30 AM. I arrived early at 9:15 AM, yet I was not seen until 10:54 AM--over an hour past my appointment time. When the provider finally entered, there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no greeting, and no apology. He immediately began asking questions, demonstrating a clear lack of basic bedside manner and professionalism. More concerning, despite being part of my care team since the onset of my DRESS syndrome on March 2nd, the provider came to this visit without any thoughtful or proactive care plan. I was met with uncertainty and repeated statements like, "I don't know if there's anything we can do," which was both surprising and deeply disappointing. Given his full visibility into the severity and progression of my condition, I expected a clear path forward--especially regarding the lasting skin damage. Instead, there was a complete absence of direction, reflecting a serious gap in continuity of care, accountability, and patient-centered treatment. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unproductive, leaving me questioning the value of the visit altogether.

They came in looked at it and said there's nothing we can do. They squeezed it played with it, nothing we can do. They told me I need to find a surgical derm that can removed it. I find the surgeon here he says he can only do it May 21. Outrageous I cannot wait that long. I find another derm in Amityville, took me the next damn day, removed the infection put me on antibiotics, will take the root of it out next week when antibiotics are finished. He said if I would've waited until May 21st it would've been so bad and would've lead to other things. This place has lost a patient.

My pharmacy contact them 3 times including talking to her medical assistant but they did not respond till today feb 3 exactly 3 weeks after my apointment. Her DR Assistant called me this morning says oh I did know. you did not get that medicine . Obviously I did not get it Becouse my insurance did not except it and pharmacy tried to ask you to change it . By the way the other 2 creams she gave me was less powerful to clear my psoriasis patch than the one I bought over the counter . By the way her doctor assistant knows more about psoriasis than her . You better off using over counter creams than getting medicine from her . The assistant excuse was that they never got a call from pharmacy after one month . I believe if I did not have health first she would have treat me better . Please avoid headaches and don't make appointment with this Dr if you have Health first . Your local pharmacist know more than her . To me Dr bitman is not qualified to cure my Psoriasis Because she has no idea what psoriasis is . Look I help her by telling her what cream I am taking now . Otherwise she had no idea what to prescribe to me .

I have been coming here for about six years…read more Today 2/3/2026, Medical Assistant Casey escorted me into the patient room, asked for the purpose of my visit and wrote down my symptoms. Milena Bonilla P.A., who is Board certified, evaluated me and treated my hair and skin conditions. She knows how to treat African skin, which scars easily and is prone to hyperpigmentation. She also addressed my hereditary hair loss and the products that I need to buy to treat it. I am impressed with her results. There are many skin product samples in the office, which I have taken home and tried. I now know which cleansers and sunblock work best on my skin. Ms. Bonilla nor anyone else in the office has ever pressured me into getting cosmetic dermatology work done, like Botox or chemical peels. I strictly go there for medical dermatology, like blackhead removals and annual skin cancer evaluations. I can't say enough incredible things about Long Island Dermatology. I highly recommend.

From the moment you walk into the office, you're treated with kindness and professionalism. Carmine takes his time to truly listen to your concerns and walks you through every treatment option with care and clarity. He's not only incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to laser treatments and skincare, but also has a calm and reassuring presence that makes you feel comfortable and confident in his care. Whether it's a routine skin check, a cosmetic procedure, or a more complex dermatological issue, he approaches everything with precision and genuine concern for your well-being. It's rare to find a provider who combines skill, compassion, and a true passion for what they do--Carmine checks all those boxes. Long Island is lucky to have him.

She told me she was too busy to send an email, meanwhile went on a ten minute rant about how busy she was, screaming at me over the phone that I wasn't listening to her life story, and then she hung up on me!! Then she called me back (some nerve) to tell me she changed her mind and that I could come pick up my results in person but she still couldn't email them to me because she doesnt have time to send an email. She did have time though to print out my results and put them in an envelope. She also had time to again go on a long rant about her life story and how she is short staffed and has a meeting at 4pm and all of her responsibilities at work. Sounds like she can't handle this job! She needs to be terminated immediately. She is difficult on purpose and treats the patients like garbage for no reason. You Can not have someone like that in the office, I will never return and I will make sure nobody else does too. I only gave 2 stars so that the review would actually be published. 0 stars.

She stood with her hands crossed in front of her chest, and I said I have a few spots that are bothering me, including a skin tag. Can you burn them off for me like I have had done in the past usually the doctor does three areas little spots and usually Medicare and my secondary always picked up to burn the spots off. She said no, she would not do that. She charges per spot with that. I realized that all she was there for was making money doing fillers , Botox and Lazers. And it is hard to believe that she charges $500 per spot to burn off with the little freezing machine. I told her that I have been using Retin A and Hydroquinone cream to Lighten my sun spots and if nothing more then to help with my skin texture on my face, and she proceeded to say there's nothing I can do to save my skin now with the brown spots. Was she kidding me with such a cold answer!' I also showed her a spot and it has recently been turning red and is very itchy and is there something I can do about this and she said no. I was sent to her by a friend of mine who said she liked her for filler and Botox, but be prepared to spend $4,000. -5000 for the session... I happily would have spent that free session with filler and Botox, Had she had a little bit of warm to her. She just didn't realize she lost a lot of money when she let me walk out of that door. Dr Hazan said the only thing I could do for my sun spots on my face was a very aggressive Fraxel Lazer @$1,500 and I only must do a package for 4 months - I have never heard of any of my friends who have ever Done a Fracel Lazer 4 Months in a row! I urge anyone to not walk in her office unless you're going in with a warm snowsuit on because you will be greeted by a colder than ice Dr in an office that look dirty. I had to sit next to a large garbage pail when being examined. He has about as much bedside manner so to speak then an ice cube! I am now going to another dermatologist to get a skin check because I do not trust her one minute skin check !!
