I have been coming here for about six years. Today 2/3/2026, Medical Assistant Casey escorted me into the patient room, asked for the purpose of my visit and wrote down my symptoms. Milena Bonilla P.A., who is Board certified, evaluated me and treated my hair and skin conditions. She knows how to treat African skin, which scars easily and is prone to hyperpigmentation. She also addressed my hereditary hair loss and the products that I need to buy to treat it. I am impressed with her results. There are many skin product samples in the office, which I have taken home and tried. I now know which cleansers and sunblock work best on my skin. Ms. Bonilla nor anyone else in the office has ever pressured me into getting cosmetic dermatology work done, like Botox or chemical peels. I strictly go there for medical dermatology, like blackhead removals and annual skin cancer evaluations. I can't say enough incredible things about Long Island Dermatology. Carmine is the BEST! Before I start to rant about him: Locating the office is quite easy. Parking is even easier; It surrounds the whole building. All you need to do is take the elevator to the 4th floor and you'll see the office on the left. The front workers as very nice. I have had some difficulty getting thru via phone but it's worth it to see Carmine. I started seeing Carmine at this old office. Then followed him here. Over the years ive had extremely horrible cystic acne. Carmine was the only dermatologist to help fix my face (as i like to say). He put me on multiple topical creams, oral pills, until it was time for the big one, Accutane. This pill is strong, and plays a big mental game, but for myself, it was totally worth it. I'm 5 years off Accutane and still continue to see Carmine when needed. But thank goodness my cystic acne hasn't returned! My whole family comes to see him, on top of everyone I recommend (which is literally everyone!)! He is amazing at what he does!! read more

Everyone at Long Island Dermatology is personable, proffessional and intelligent! I have been to a couple of the doctors here to get injections into pimples or to see if I should be doing something different with my skin, and they are all knowledgeable and helpful. I also highly recommend facials with Michelle, who I followed from Sadick dermatology after they closed. Nothing helps my skin more, and she is absolutely lovely! I just returned from my first to Long Island Dermatology. The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. They made the sign in process a breeze. I saw Carmine Vacchio PA, for the removal of several cysts. His bedside manner was great. He explained the procedure thoroughly and took the time to answer all of my questions. His assistant was excellent as well. The procedure was quick and relatively painless. One of the cysts were in a sensitive area and he recommended that I go to a plastic surgeon for the procedure. The office took the time to call the plastic surgeon to set up a consultation for me. I am pleasured with the entire experiment and will definitely return in the future for a yearly skin ca screening. read more

I have been coming here 3 times so far. The first time I called and made an appointment, it was so efficient and simple to make an appointment. My reason was for adult acne, so it was a visit covered by health insurance. The office waiting area is very clean, and minimally designed. The paintings on the wall give off a very calming aura, so it's great for patients. I met Dr. Newburger. She was so kind and very attentive to everything I was explaining. I even brought photos to document how my skin looked, and she was so thorough with the care and answering all my questions. After the first visit, I made follow up appointments 2 times, each 1 month apart. Every visit, Dr. Newburger has been so attentive and patient and given me options and her personal medical opinion as well. Now I am very satisfied with the visit. Even the logistics of making an appointment, contacting pharmacy, it was all so good. I do recommend this place, but make sure you are also a patient who is thorough in your explanation. lets start with I had a Dermatologist appt with Dr, Carol Huang for a full body check scheduled for 1:00pm I called that same morning to see if she had any earlier cancellations and was told to come in at 11:15 which I did. went into her examining room waited 1/2 hour finally went out to ask to be sure she did not forget she had a patient waiting... young lady at the front desk said she was right next door with a patient and I would be next, mind you I was coming out to open the door with a gown on to ask because no one! came to the room to say she would be with me soon, or to even acknowledge that some one was waiting ok no problem...waited another 20 minutes heard her leave the room next to me and still no one came to advise of any info... I went back out to explain I was still waiting and I told the front desk I can not wait any longer .. as I am getting dress to leave. Dr huang came in to apologize but also SAID I did have an appt for 1:00... so I guess this is the way the office is run and how she's sees her patients once you're in the examining room you sit and wait ! I guess the 50 minutes waiting in the room was not long enough. Please respect other people's time, as we respect yours coming in when we are scheduled . read more
