Number one, I have to say the food here is good with large portions. However, I do not like standing for minutes at a hostess stand without being acknowledged, then without a simple "sorry you had to wait", or even " how are you today?" I also don't care for a rushed , seemingly stressed server talking over top of me while I'm trying to order something. If you're short handed in this business in these current times I completely understand, but if you want my dollar from someone who's been in customer service all my life including being a server long ago, then show some customer service. Finally, my previous order was called in. When I picked up my order and opened it at home, the homemade jam I so wanted to try was all over my eggs and hash browns. Not very appealing or appetizing. This is our new favorite breakfast/brunch place in Parker. The first time we went there were only a couple of tables with people but the next time all the tables were occupied and there were people waiting. Both times however, the staff was friendly and the food and service was delicious. Breakfast burrito and the pancakes were both excellent. Both the green chili and red chili were great and our wonderful waiter informed us that we could order a half green and half red chili breakfast burrito which I will definitely do next time! read more

First the good: staff was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Atmosphere is very pleasant and restaurant is clean. Unfortunately the food was bad. I got the Papas cowboy to go. It was very bland with no redeeming quality. The red chili was one note. Tasted like straight uncooked chili powder. I took four bites and had to throw the rest away. The scrambled eggs weren't prepared well either. Love the other Laszlo restaurants, but would never return or recommend this to anyone based upon this experience. read more

Average breakfast location at best. Ordered the small pig omelette with homefries, the bacon inside was super crunchy and it wasn't very cheesy but the potatoes were probably the saving grace. I wish they weren't the frozen little cubed potatoes and had actual homefries but it wasn't bad. My favorite part was the sourdough toast and homemade strawberry jam. Oh and sadly they only have almond milk for dairy free options so that was a bummer - the menu said other locations offered Soy so I would have really enjoyed having that option. read more

Enjoyed breakfast this morning at Doug's in Parker. First time at this location. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful Colorado weather. We created our own omelette that came with hash browns and toast. Portion size was perfect and food was good. Servers were friendly and attentive. Wife and I wanted to try it because it's new in Parker, and our visit was unremarkable in almost every way. Basic food, basic service, bare bones basic decor. No sense of personality or uniqueness. It felt as if there were some good ideas for this place, but that the owner ran out of money. We waited 35 minutes for a burger and omelette-our gal was nice enough to let us know there would be a delay (apparently there was a run on burgers so that station was slammed) , but you could tell that the omelette sat waiting. Not cold, not hot, but you could tell. Burger was dried out but had an interesting Smokey smell and taste which was interesting, but again, basic. Omelette was ok. Not sure what to expect, but suffice to say, it was a completely average experience and we won't be back. We want to support local mom and pop places in Parker, but we won't be back. read more

We've been wanting to try for quite sometime everyone raves about how good it is. Unfortunately we won't be back. Clearly understaffed and disorganized. Our coffee tasted like watered down tea, we didn't have silverware or napkins when our food arrived, chicken fried steak was burnt, potatoes were raw in our skillet, the phone was ringing constantly the entire time and no one answered it, and the wait for food was well over 30 minutes. Our server was kind and friendly and we know it was not his fault that it was a poor experience- kudos to him for trying to stay positive in a clearly poor situation there were customers frustrated our entire time in the restaurant. read more

My experience was mixed. Saturday morning so a longer wait than we were told. Servers were especially friendly, and attentive. The food (omelette, hashbrowns) were very good but barely warm when served. English muffin had obviously been microwaved and not toasted - chewy. Nice reasonable portions, and fairly priced. A bit noisy but a nice friendly, family vibe. I would return but at a less busy time. read more

Sounds like this is a recurring problem and it would have been nice to be given a heads up by the restaurant. We will never visit this place again. Quite strange. We sat quickly which was nice. Our waitress was fun and on top of things. She was a touch handsy with the men but we could let it go because her service was overall good. The coffee and water came out quickly. The latte took about 20 minutes and was comped. At about 45 minutes after we ordered the waitress let us know the kitchen was really backed up and brought us a comped cinnamon roll. It was absolutely delicious! At an hour and a half the food finally came and she let us know the manager was comping the rest by 50%. Then we ate and most of our food was over or under cooked. We ate what we could and left as it was already and overdrawn experience. We won't be back but feel they did their best to make it right. Again, very strange. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant as with all new restaurants in Parker and with prior reviews I had read. I also like to support local businesses. It quickly turned into a disappointment. We got there early and were seated immediately. Very loud and not conducive to conversation. The waitress was nice and efficient but when she delivered our water and coffee she picked it up from the tray with her fingers around the rim! This is something that spreads disease when we aren't in a pandemic, a bit of retraining desperately needed. I started looking around the restaurant and noticed how dirty it was. Food all over the floor (see picture) and black marks on the table. Options were southern with a splash of the southwest, very large, but nothing special for flavor. We will not be back. read more

My husband and I Came to visit friends who recently moved to Colorado. We stayed at the hotel next to Doug's diner. Every morning we had breakfast at the diner. The food was great, love the griddle biscuits. The first morning we were there a very fun loving waitress named Sherry took care of us. She was super sweet and she would go out of her way to greet us the following mornings when we would return for breakfast, even though she was not our waitress. Her friendliness and kindness made me love Colorado even more. We will be back! read more

Me and The Hubs had breakfast here last week. The food was good and very filling. I had the Huevos Socorro (Two Eggs atop Corn Tortillas with Browns, Beans, choice of Red Chile and/or Green Chile, Cheeses, Garnish & Tortilla plus meat). The meat I had was turkey green chile sausage. The Hubs had an omelette (don't remember which one) and also had a griddled biscuit for his bread/toast option. The biscuit was huge (about the size of a fist)! It looked like a biscuit but didn't taste much like any biscuit either of us have ever had. Not that it was bad or anything, it just wasn't what was expected taste-wise. My iced tea was kind of watery tasting and The Hubs said his coffee was 'just OK'. One thing I will say is that it was FREEZING in the restaurant. I don't know if it was just where we were sitting or what, but my food didn't stay hot for very long. We'll try it again. read more

I've been to Doug's Day Diner on a few occasions, and I must say, I will most certainly go out of my way to recommend it to my friends and family. The food was excellent, and the service wonderful. The young lady who waited on us was delightful, helpful, and so much fun that I will make a point of of looking for her in the future. Courtney went out of her way to make our visit what turned out to be the highlight of my day. She is quick, efficient, witty, fun to have a conversation with and a delight to be around. I will certainly be back and will recommend that my friends ask for Courtney to be their server. she makes Doug's a great place. read more

A group of six retired men having breakfast on a Monday morning. Arrived at 9:00 am and we were seated immediately. Coffee and other drink orders were filled promptly. Two men had the breakfast burrito, two had the Billy Junior, and two had the standard breakfast. The burritos were huge and you could easily make it cover two meals. The Billy Junior was of decent size., two eggs as ordered, hash browns, a in house made biscuit covered with white country gravy, and two thick pieces of bacon. The standard breakfast was two eggs, browns, and bacon. How was the coffee, don't know as nobody had coffee... Items that stood out: the thick bacon was definitely thick and cooked perfectly and was meaty, the biscuit was sweet tasting and had a crispy exterior, which I liked, and again the burrito was huge. Service was efficient and accurate. Separate checks no problem. The decor was nothing special, but very appropriate or the type of restaurant we were at. They have a bar which is nice for individual diners. read more

We checked in online in an effort to get ahead of the Sunday rush. I checked the waitlist on my phone when we parked outside the restaurant and it said we were 14th in line. We remained in our car waiting for a notification that a table was ready for use. When I checked the app again it said we had been removed from the waitlist. I went inside and asked the hostess why we were removed from the waitlist. She told me they don't accept online check ins, only in person check ins. The online check in app never said any of this. Just that we were checked in. So we wasted our effort of checking in, driving there, and then sitting in our car for 20 minutes. We won't be back. read more

Don't like to complain but need to express disappointment. My husband and I called in an order. I left the hotel 12 minutes after placing our order. When I went to pick it up, was told to go to the bar which I did. Four employees walked past me never once asking if I'd been helped. Another employee walked past to answer the phone and put a hold up finger at me while she took the call. One of the employees that walked past me the first time actually asked if I was being helped, which I said no. I told her I was there to pick up an order. She went to check, came back talked to the girl on the phone, the girl on the phone finished her call then asked me about my order. I paid for the order and waited. Few minutes later my order came out. When I got back to my hotel room which is next door to Doug's diner, the food was extremely cold. As long as it took to get waited on and to get food it should have been warm but it wasn't. Sad thing my husband and I eat at Doug's diner very time we're in Parker. I'm very disappointed because a take out order should be as fresh as if you were dining in and customer service on a take out order should also be the same as dining in as well. read more

The quality and service of food here is outstanding and makes everything else in the area seem a little less satisfying. I read the reviews and seemed like a spot to try. It was nice inside. The server brought my beverages and took my order in a timely manner. I got my food in a decent amount of time and then the disappointment. I had the biscuit and sausage gravy with eggs and side sausage patty. The eggs and sausage were overcooked. The sausage had a weird texture and flavor. There was very little gravy and it didnt taste like any I ever tasted. The biscuits were large and grill, but had no flavor of their own. The food was tepid. The server didn't come back. I had to ask another server for coffee. I only ate a small portion of my meal because I had to fast for a medical procedure and it had been 16 hours between meals. The pricing was very good. read more
