This was a Sunday night and no time to get it fixed then. The next am, she filled it up again and headed to Columbia tire. She just needed to get home and had a 90 mile drive. The folks at Columbia tire didn't have her special size in a new tire but had a used tire, in fantastic shape, that matched what she had already. They had her fixed up and rolling in no time. I'm impressed with how quickly and effortlessly they worked to get my mom back on the road. Thank you.

Day 1 He kept the car for one week not looking at it when i called his staff about my car coming in before he denied that by aggressive behavior. Week after he calls me on the monday saying he hit my starter with a hammer and that i needed a starter. Charged 600. Labor and part and tested for a blown gasket. I questioned him because he called me after two hours saying starters installed and test shows blown gasket. he got aggressive and said he the mechanic and would charge me for the work and as long as the car sit. Now what made me questioned him also was that he was telling a part was a themostat and i told him no that the purge value. Now that question me how much do you know about cars . I was furious when i noticed my windshield cracked and greesed interior everywhere. Another mechanic thati took to has it now said it needed a alternator and coolant burped correctly that its not what he stated. The new mechanic will write me a letter and bill stating that barneys garage has no knowledge of cars. Totally wrong information about my car. Come on now ill post the statement from him to show everyone to stay away

I wish I could give negative stars. So in feb, i took my SUV for routine maintenance (oil, tire…read morerotation, rear diff fluid change). picked it up after work and the exhaust system now has a blown gasket. I get that happens and cars are only machines, but too many issues to buy that. He deliberately LIED to me, when the following week I said I wantd to review the bill with him, he said he was closed. I had other friends call and he was OPEN every single day. THEN when I got home, I was leaking oil. I have stains on my garage floor and have informed him i did my best to get it up,does he have suggestions or wanna clean it up himself, since somebody there caused the leak? I'm not losing a 2K security deposit on somebody elses ignorance or stupidity. THEN he charged me $85 to hook up to the diagnostic computer, and I said why? I never asked/authorized him to, nor was a 'check engine' lite or anything of that nature indicating a problem. HE told me that the charge was a mistake, should've only been $45 to "clear the oil thing" tell the engine oil is good. I have NEVER heard of this BS charge, nor have I ever done that b4 for an oil change. HE said he'd refund me the difference. still have seen nothing. I recently texted him (everything is in writing at this point) about never getting the refund, nor discussing THEE biggest issue. he charged me two hours of labor to change the rear diff fluid. According to FIVE different honda delearships, it should take 15-30 minutes, 45 minutes ABSOLUTE TOPS. Why is such an experienced mechanic that slow on a routine task? I realize I will never see a penny back from him, but I hope this review saves somebody else the trouble. F-, NEVER return.

Charlton messaged me back within 15 minutes. I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

This is my first time using Yelp and was so stressed because my regular mechanic is my friend and he was on vacation when the brakes went out. I felt so much better when I found people who would help me . Special thanks to Charlton at C&A Automotive for making me feel at ease and gave me a great deal . It turned out to be the brake job from hell because of the poor workmanship of the last owner . An hour project turned into a 3 and a half hour nightmare. Well three days passed and my Wife wanted to know if the car was done so she stopped in.
