What a relaxing experience! I've only ever had a mini facial at Sephora, so I was in for a treat when I had my first "real" facial with Shay. She is so so sweet and makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed. Did the Deluxe Hydrofacial which includes light therapy, a jelly mask, and shoulder/neck massage. Before starting, Shay asked me what I was looking for and I explained to her I've been growing my eyebrows out for several months and only wanted a clean up. I was worried about getting too thin, but still wanted some shape. Shay listened to me and delivered! She kept my eyebrows as thick as possible while still giving a good shape and cleaning them up. Pre-Covid, I was paying around $60 a month to get waxed at a waxing salon... not cheap & adds up! I bit the bullet & did that for quite some time [basically a lil over a year]. Then quarantine hit in March & waxing salons close. Upon doing my research & reading various forums, I discover waxing isn't that hard, & with a higher than normal pain tolerance, I could save lots of money each month by doing it myself! Call me weird, but it is also quite a satisfying task to do. After purchasing a wax warmer online, I discovered wakse products. My first purchase was the Imperial Rose which smells amazing! You basically add in the dried roses to the wax once it's melted. I love the concept but to be honest it kinda got in the way of the wax application because some pieces of dried rose were too large & made it harder to apply. I have also tried the rose gold which is a beautiful color... but smells like chocolate when melted. I love love love chocolate but don't care for the smell of chocolate in wax. My go to? Cosmic candy! I love how it's duo toned & the scent is just right. I also like how light the color is so after pulling the wax off you can see how much hair came off with it. I've also tried molten lava which was fun since it turns a dark grey once cooled & when warm its orange. Fun Fun Fun! I'm so excited there's a store now! Before I was ordering online or going to Ulta which was a hit/miss since inventory varies. I highly highly recommend Wakse products, definitely worth the money!! read more

Great little local spot for all your waxing needs! Shay was able to take me on a Saturday (super bonus points). The salon was very clean and her technique minimized the pain. She was very meticulous in making sure to get ALL the little hairs which I really appreciated because most places are just trying to get you in and out very quickly. Wow! I just got home from my facial and immediately came to write this review because the experience blew me away! this was truly the best facial I've ever had. The attention to detail, the customization, the whole experience was amazing. Often times I feel like estheticians rush the experience and want to get it over with but she took her time on everything and made sure to explain everything she is doing in detail. Shay customized the treatment around my skin concerns (dry, dull, and textured). I received a dermaplaning with HydraFacial and my skin is GLOWING!! My skin already feels more refreshed and hydrated. The best place to get your wax done. Not only it's convenient at The Spectrum, I get to shop, dine and run errands. This is the best wax place in OC! hands down. This was my very first time getting a wax, and it was so much easier than I expected! I forgot to check the suite number, so once you enter Sola Salons, go to the left and you will see it on the right. I got a Brazilian and got my eyebrows done. Angel was SO fast yet gentle and the wax was not painful. She was very sweet telling me to relax and explained the whole process. She also did an amazing job on my eyebrows! The facility was very cleaned and easy to find. The wax was place on my face and it was not to hot that it would burn my skin and she was very gentle when removing the wax off my face. Angel is wonderful. I walked in and they were able and willing to wax my eyebrows immediately. I've had my brows threaded for the past 5-6 years because I didn't like how my skin would feel after waxing. This salon is super transparent with their ingredients they use to make their waxes and serums and I'm writing this 10 mins after having my brows waxed; my skin feels so clean and fresh and not clogged or sticky. My eyebrows aren't throbbing and there's very minimal pink around them. I have fair and very sensitive skin and this was the best and most pleasant waxing experience. Angel is very attentive and made sure I was happy with how my brows looked when she was done. The staff working the front desk are also beyond pleasant and their customer service is astonishing. What a wonderful surprise!! I went to the Spectrum to do a little shopping and ended up getting an almost pain-free Brazilian (aka The Jungle) and nose waxing! My normal waxing salon has been closed since COVID hit in March and has only opened once (in September). Needless to say, I was quite surprised to see Wakse open and accepting clients. I walked in to get my eyebrows done last week and was very pleasantly surprised! Shay was my esthetician and was wonderful. I normally expect a little pain when getting my eyebrows done from the places that use the wax, then put paper of some sort then rip it off. This was different, the wax was the perfect temp, it was the kind you just spread on the area and pull of no paper or muslin needed. She did a great job shaping me and after I was done I had zero redness! I will be coming here from now on for sure!! read more

Was supposed to go get waxed today before I leave to hawaii in 2 days. Unfortunately they called me an hour before my appointment to cancel on me saying there are maintenance issues. I understand the maintenance issues but do not appreciate the short notice. Now I am to leave and I cannot find a decent place to get waxed at because everyone is booked out for at least two weeks. They did offer to reschedule but made no extra accommodations time wise. My time was definitely wasted. Left out the waxers name because it definitely does not have anything to do with their competency as a waxer. The business overall could value peoples time better and hold up to customers who give their credit card info and wait weeks to have an appointment they cancel on same day. read more

One word to describe this place AMAZING!!!! From the second I walked in and greeted so amazingly to the amazing variety of waxes and not to mention most beautiful store interior in all of Irvine spectrum!!!
