Thusly last night I came to find him laying upon our kitchen floor attempting (unsuccessfully) to keep the water heater pilot light lit. He told me he had attempted his evening wash-up but quickly realized the hot water was, well....not so hot. By the time I'd awaken today, he had already reached Jose at 5 Star Plumbing and Drains via yelp "request for services" Jose came to our home to access the problem. After hearing the totality of our dealings with the finicky water heater he suggested a few possible solutions. We decided to fully replace the unit. This consultation happened at 2pm. By 6pm we had a fully new unit, clean, dry, working. So obviously I haven't seen my husband for a "hot" minute as he's "testing" the shower water but we both expect to see Jose on Tuesday to install the water softener we had been wanting. All joking aside Jose was timely, knowledgeable, cost efficient, fast, respectful and self sufficient. He was easy to understand and communicated very well (we non plumbers could easily grasp his point). In these days of COVID he also was extremely careful about not touching anything in our homes and wore several different pairs of gloves.
