You can't even discuss with them what services you need because they know nothing about the plumbing business or even where Buffalo and the Southtowns are. I used to call their office directly , explain my problem and get an appointment quickly and with the right parts etc. and the plumbers were fine. But now it takes me longer to make an appointment and get the message across as to what I need done than the actual plumbing appointment takes. I'm going elsewhere with my business.

In Dec. 2009 the boiler failed to light; and had to be reset and restarted. A month later it again failed to light, so I called Mr. Gwitt for service. Mr. Gwitt supposedly "fixed" the problem with my boiler on 1/26/10; and I paid him $152.25. About three weeks later the boiler failed to light again. I called Mr. Gwitt. He again "fixed" it, on 2/23/10. A week later the boiler again failed to light. I again called Mr. Gwitt. He again "fixed" it on 3/03/10. When I arrived home from work on 3/03/10 the boiler was out, and could not be reset or restarted. I called Mr. Gwitt. He refused to come, even though it was too late by then to call another service professional. After a very cold night, with no heat, Mr. Gwitt came the next day and finally fixed my boiler. He then billed me for the additional three service calls. When I contacted him he refused to reduce his bill; even though he didn't fix the problem with my boiler on his first three visits.

My wife and I tried whatever we could do to unclog it, and just couldn't figure out why. We ended up calling around and trying to get general estimates. Depending on the task at hand, Bruce gave us the most reasonable quote and we decided to go with him. He was very responsive online and available the same day. Some of the plumbers had given us dates that were well into the following week, and almost twice the price. When Bruce arrived, he made sure he kept the work area clean, worked on our sink, and after we found out that the job needed was worse than we had initially thought, he encouraged me to look around in case I didn't want to go with him. The new project included sawing off the existing galvanized pipe to the laundry sink, which was severely clogged with corrosion and sediments, and having it replaced with PVC pipe she is replacement. We decided to go with him for the new job and he completed it quickly, with quality products, and at a very reasonable rate.
