This beach is decidedly sleepier than Ocean City, Sea Isle, and many non-LBI beaches, and most of its charm is from its inherent "coziness." The lifeguards were very kind and vigilant, making sure that the no-swimming zones were properly demarcated and that we could enjoy the offings of the beach. Free street parking and some mini golf and ice cream nearby. What more can I say? :)

Like it's northern neighbor beaches, you need to drive out through a stretch of marsh to get to Del Haven beach, but it is a lot more built up than the little beaches north of it. Unlike in Villas, you can't really park along the street here unless you get one of the 2 or 3 spots right at the beach entrance, and if you don't live beachfront, it is a long long walk to the rest of town here. Get here early and don't miss out on the "Bread and Cheese Cupboard" piggy buns or theee "to die for" pepperoni tangy savory bread- cash only (booooo!!!) lots of fun at Hoy's and some junky type souvenirs that are fun n frivolous for all. Bathrooms were kept decently clean. I didn't appreciate that they have coin showers. If I'm paying nearly $50 a night to camp I think a free shower is reasonable. Well, maybe, but you only get what you pay for. 2. The staff here has been nothing but phenomenal, they have been working like crazy and I feel they are completely under-appreciated. This place has so many good reviews that are based simply on the job they do. 3. There are isolated issues, sometimes, but thats life. Things aren't always going to be perfect. Look at the big picture. But they sure as hell try to fix any issue. 4. Thank you OVR for the best thing weve ever done as a family. This will be our 2nd home for life.
