With small children running around this is a serious safety issue. The lady at the front laughed in my face and insulted me asking where I was from. On top of that they decided to start cutting trees at our campsite while we were camping. Couldn't even access my children after coming back from the bathroom. The workers are now harassing us parking in front of our site to intimidate us. BEWARE. CAMP at your own RISK this place does not care about their guests and will do nothing to ensure safety. UPDATE: Shortly after posting my honest review, campground management informed us that we were no longer welcome because of the review we left. Instead of addressing the serious concerns we raised, they chose to retaliate against paying guests for sharing their honest experience. I would like to add that the front desk lady informed me this was an ongoing problem and it was not just our site that was having aggressive raccoons, in the midst of insulting me. Therefore, the problem couldn't be fixed by moving sites, which would have been a half a day task, at minimum for me being alone with 5 children even if moving could solve the problem. It clearly was not a solution either way with it being a widespread issue. This tells me everything I need to know about how this campground operates. When confronted with legitimate criticism, management's response was not to fix the problems. Their response was to remove the customer. We reported ongoing safety concerns, including persistent raccoons repeatedly entering campsites and approaching campers. Rather than taking meaningful action to address those issues, management decided the problem was the guests who spoke up. If this is how they treat customers who leave an honest review, imagine how they handle complaints that are not made public. I stand by every word of my original review. This update is based on what management told us directly. Other campers deserve to know that leaving an honest, unfavorable review may result in being told they are no longer welcome. Businesses build trust by addressing legitimate concerns, not by punishing customers for speaking honestly. You can decide for yourself whether that is the type of business you want to support.

I could've tolerated staying at the campground but I decided to leave and drive into town for a cold sweet drink. Important info: Weak or no signal once you enter Warren Road. I have Verizon. I was told at the Check in booth there is signal, but it is weak. I got some signal driving to the campground, very spotty. So if you need to let someone know you have arrived to the campground, find a safe way to let them know before entering Warren Road. It's a beautiful drive once you turn onto Warren Road. View of the meadow with the hills in the background. Watch for the speed bumps and wild life crossing. I didn't see any wildlife crossing the road, but there are signs. There is a primitive camping section and rv/trailer sites with hookups. The group campground is located in a different area just before the Camp Store. The Camp Store has two sizes of ice for purchase. Firewood and ice cream the most important (lol). They have Lake Skinner memorabilia. I purchased stickers. They have lots of drinks to offer and even bottle of wine and port. This campground is in wine country so you might want to do some wine tasting instead. If you happen to forget some camping supplies they have a variety of things available and even for fishing since you can fish, boat, and kayak at the lake. From what I understand you can rent kayaks too. The group campground only have porta potty rooms. No showers. These are partial hook up sites with electric and water. One side to this group location has a good view of the lake. Trees are sparse at this group site. Bring shade and weights or tie downs for your shade. There is occasionally wind gusts. Sometimes they last awhile. There is a community pergola with metal picnic tables. The pergola is slats shading so not full coverage. Next to this area is one cement fire ring. Electric is available at this pergola but I heard it can be overloaded if too many things are plugged in. I drove through the campground. It's very pretty, very green, plenty of trees and right now looks like plenty of parking because it's not summer yet. The Camp Store mentioned that the adjoining restaurant will probably not be in service until next year (2027). They need to ad AC and some equipment in the kitchen. The water park feature is not open for use at the moment. Showers are located between A and B primitive campgrounds. The women's have two showers available. No coins needed . The showers and sinks are powered by using the pump step (wash station) or pump push buttons (in the shower area) I think it's a very nice campground. I would like to go when it's a little tad cooler. The plus, is you will find some time to relax and enjoy the birds singing throughout the park.

We stayed in campground C with water and electricity. and were close to the bathrooms/showers. the camp store was also a small drive but had basically everything you need but at a PRICE ! so do your best to come prepared. (ice was $11 ) Lake was a bit far for walking distance to fish same with the splash pad but only about 3-5 min drive up the road. Everything was clean and rangers drove around often so it felt safe. Showers were clean and bathrooms stayed stocked. Had a great time and would come again.

We visited some friends for a pool day and played a few games like billiards. GVP also has corn hole, ping pong, and more. There's plenty of meeting rooms and places for large parties. The park is super clean and protected. I love that they don't have time for unruly kids or patrons, security is super responsible and friendly. The park has plenty of RV slots, a gym, and is near several hotels and eateries. It's perfect for a recreational trip or hangout. The entire property is protected by a gate and consistent surveillance.

This is a great RV park that is extremely quiet, clean, and family, friendly. Dawn, the camp host, was great. The pool was clean and refreshing. We are sad to say we cannot return because there are several trees along the entry road and campground loop that are very low and over grown. We had to stop, remove our antenna, and physically lift branches over the equipment on our roof due to low hanging branches. Unless the campground owner trims the trees back significantly , I do not advise camping here if you have a high profile rig. My trailer is 13ft 7in tall and as you can see in the photo the branches hang down as low as 11ft in some areas. The branches left scratches and light gouges along my roof and AC covers, even after using a spotter and lifting what we could. Also, they are very strict about arrival time. We typically camp Friday (after work) through Sundays and this facility does not allow for you to arrive after the sun goes down. They will turn you away. Thank you Dawn for a nice stay, we hope to camp here in the future depending on the topics above.

Lots of roosters, chickens, and pigs too. Fresh eggs and baby chicks for sale. The property is located next to mountains with hiking trails, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Lots of beautiful quartz throughout the property and surrounding trails. Lots of space between campgrounds for kids to run and be free. Our two dogs loved the open land and our daughter loved all the animals. The host, Beatrice, is wonderful and if you ask her she will let your little one's feed the sheep.

I had the bad fortune to spend a week there during a severe heat event in the Inland Empire, from July 26 - August 6. Over 100 degree weather from Wednesday to Sunday. Zero effort on the part of the park to help the campers through this difficult heat event. The majority of campers in the park are over 50. Some of us have compendium of health issues. Perhaps Rangers could have checked to be sure people were okay? Perhaps they could have stocked with cold water to offer? Perhaps been clear that people are going to physically NEED to be out of the heat? What about checking on pets? Not every single one of us have AC. Not every single one of us has a freezer. Tent campers, vintage rv's, and some types of rigs, do not have AC. My experience at other parks, is that the rangers pay attention to elders, and loop through tent site areas being sure everyone is okay during snow, windstorms, thunderstorms, and extreme weather events. To waive occupancy and pet rules on a day when it is 105 so that everyone had a chance to be invited into AC during the peak of the heat, would have made sense. I was BITTERLY disappointed to go to the camp store and find they did not stock coffee or 1/2 gallons of ice cream, or ANYTHING. And as a matter of fact, were going to be closing the store. REALLY?? Not all of us have a car!! Many families share one vehicle. Some of us have a health issue that precludes us from driving anymore. Many of us use an RV moving service. The closest MTS bus stop, to access outside stores, is a 1.6 mile walk. Not all of us are capable of that, especially in 100 degree heat. Does Thousand Trails Corporate have a CLUE who their members are?? And what their members need? I know for certain that these needs are accomodated for, understood, and well cared for at other TT parks. Especially health safety during major weather events. I do not know what is going on at Wilderness Lakes, but they are making bad decisions. Corporate is making bad decisions for them. My experiences at this park will make me avoid this park at ALL COSTS, in the future. I would rather boondock than be treated as disposible.

Dues are now $1160.00, they changed the billing system and did not contact…read moremembers, no phone call or letter to let us know that they are only emailing you your bill (so no more paper bills). So you can expect that if you're not on top of your billing, you will probably run past due, because they are not contacting members to let them know. We went to visit the park and oh my word it still looks awful, it's even worse than before. Stuff is broken everywhere and if anyone remembers they locked all members out for 2 1/2 months for repairs (what repairs???) it's worse than ever. You'll about break an ankle trying to walk on your own camp spot with all the rodent issues. I couldn't believe how much stuff was broken and it looks so hokey everywhere. Sorry folks, but duct tape and bubble gum doesn't fix everything. I'm so ready to jump ship on this place after being there 25 years, how sad!

I'm not sure if it…read morecame under new management in the middle of 2019 but our retreat experience the first weekend of January 2020 was great! First of all, we stayed in the larger home out of the two you can reserve. The larger home can house 86 while the smaller can house 24. Yes, the facility is old but it's not "run down". The quality of it reminded me of the condos I rent in Mammoth that were build in the 80's - old but very clean (If you're looking for a new, hotel quality level place, then this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for an affordable, clean, warm and welcoming spot for your youth group or young adult group, then I'd definitely recommend this location). Floors were vacuumed and shelves and hard to reach places were dust free. The bathrooms were clean and the pool looked good too! We didn't use it because of the weather - highs in 60's and lows in 40s. What I'm basically saying is that the place was neat and clean. Also, the young couple that managed the grounds were extremely helpful and hospitable and the food was good (they cater in the food - by the way, the lasagna was excellent!). No bed bug problem at all. I'm sad to read about the "huge bed bug problem" the other person reported. Reporting a bed bug problem will deter many people. Anyway, not only was the facility clean but the grounds were clean too. They have a small man made lake and our students used the available canoes and life jackets to "canoe race" around the lake. Yes, the soccer field did have gopher holes but it wasn't a problem. We just used the field for organized rec and not for soccer. We're more of a basketball church and the bball court was great. Even had lights for playing at night! Overall, we had a great time being out in the desert climate of Hemet and would definitely return to Paradise Valley Ranch in the future.
