Some beautiful ducks and mallards underneath the trailer next to us. A picture of my husband and I happy with our outcome .

Wow, I'm shouting from the rooftops. I can't even explain how awesome these folks are at thousand trails wilderness Lakes. I want to start off with saying that Mike and Irma are the best customer Service reps to ever get the pleasure of their service. We had just left another campground because it was not suitable for us and they offered no Wi-Fi on their premises i'm sure it wasn't they're doing but it did not suit us, However it worked out well. We came to meet thousand trails wilderness Lakes and we are so glad we got the opportunity to do so. We would recommend this RV park to anyone we know, including family. They were so accommodating, I sprung my visit on them and they were glad to oblige my husband and I. We were so tired of trying to make things work at the other campground so we had no choice but to move but again happy that we ran into thousand trails wilderness Lakes , thank you Mike and Irma at the front desk to make this so easy for us. We will see you guys again soon.

My other set of kids have decided to live the RV life and this is the second site they have stayed at. This place is pretty cool. They have a country store, arcade, two pools, basketball court, horse shoes, a mini golf course and walking trails. Scarlett was amazing at the club house super friendly and helpful.

    19ft trailer in 50 amp.

If I could review a zero...I would. You have kids knocking on your Coach door begging to charge $2 to empty your trash....are you kidding me? Lifetime membership costing 8k and $743 per year to maintain and you can't get 50amp.... or you get the tiniest....worst unmaintained space for an A class. Wilderness Lakes is a joke ran by control that cares nothing about the people who paid for it! Anyone looking to purchase a TT membership should run. Promises..promises! All lies and they change the rules...now an exhausting run down camp ground. 30amps get a 50 amp....they have no common sense. They have proclaimed to be a high use park and limit the lifetime memberships who had 3 weeks but now forced 2 weeks. If you purchase one of their new packages such as Journey...WOW! You have access to 3 weeks during the high use but the lifetime memberships don't now. How can they justify a high use park? By taking the rights away from the lifetime memberships who already paid for it!! AND....update...if they scheduled you 3 wks during this time by memberships services 120 days before?? You will get a warning letter that you violated "their" NEW adopted policy that we never signed up for when writing a check for $8k in 2021. Unbelievable.....TT should be ashamed of themselves. The contract attorneys are coming!! Mark my words.

Can't beat the evenings in the park

One of our favorite destinations when going from one Thousand trails to another. Enjoy watching the geese and duck paddle around in the canals. Our walks through the park is always enjoyable. I like it has a fitness center. It also had pickle ball courts, basketball courts, a miniature golf course, 2 pools , and playground for the kiddos. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have activities daily, karaoke, food trucks and Saturday mornings people selling their wares

Crafts! Glitter, stickers, paint, marker, stamps, beads, so much! It was AWESOME for creativity opportunities!

Loved this place!! We live in MoVal, and looked for somewhere to go on a last minute trip. This place hit it out of the ball park, having tons to do for the kids (and as a family). They have tons of different supplies for crafting, they have items to borrow for mini golf, chalking, bubbles, basketball, pickle ball, pool tables, shuffle board, and more. The night we arrived there was a (good) magic show! Then on Saturdays at 1, they play "candy bar bingo" (it was a hit!) I am very happy with how helpful and informative the staff was! Although pricey, (we paid $80 for our site-and cross your fingers there is a site open where you want, since they do not assign you a site) this place was worth it! Thank you to Lori and Scarlet for being so helpful every morning!

I felt it was time around 2021 to get involved in some of the committees and see what was going on with our HOA and meet the BOD. In my opinion, WOW Was I surprised to find out we had a good old boy board, In my opinion If you weren't one of their friends or close acquaintances You were not on the board and no chance of being placed. I can speak from experience, I ran for the board next thing I know, I have the board president knocking on my door asking me to resign so they could put one of their good old boy friends in. I felt at that time I didn't want to deal with this kind of BS so decided to resend my application. After much thought, meeting some really good people in the community that were trying to do the right thing, I stood fast. I joined the Finance Committee went toe to toe with the good old boys BOD. I was one of the main focuses of developing the rental cap committee because I had foreseen a problem with more than 25% of the community being rentals. There was a vote 50% plus one and it passed. It's 2026 now and I can say from experience things have completely turned around. We have a top-notch general manager onsite now and the board is active, transparent and making some awesome changes. Mountain Shadows RV Resort is a beautiful place to live, very affordable and welcoming. I would recommend Mountain Shadows RV Resort.

We have loved and utilized our annual membership up until staying here. This place is a disgrace and I strongly urge anyone wanting to visit to stay elsewhere. Unfortunately the people who run this location are unprofessional, sloppy, disorderly and do not know how to properly run a camp site. We stayed here earlier this month and no one was at the front office and we never received an email that had a spot number. We called and text the ranger several times and never received a response. After a long drive with 3 kids we just parked in the first spot we saw available assuming it was first come first serve since we never were given an assigned spot. The second day a ranger comes up to us later in the day after we were all unpacked and settled and told us we had to move, to an entirely different park! They were so rude and we let them know absolutely not, we were not moving because of their mess up. The lady took it real personal and made it her vendetta to somehow make us pay for her mistake?? She started threatening us and telling us she would have us suspended from thousand trails which we didn't care because this was our last trip on our membership that expired the following week and after this experience we definitely didn't want to renew. But then we got a letter saying we owed a fee for a late check out when we left at 10am!!! What a scam. This lady is absolutely insane that it's laughable. I truly cannot believe thousand trails has someone like that being the face of that campground.

With small children running around this is a serious safety issue. The lady at the front laughed in my face and insulted me asking where I was from. On top of that they decided to start cutting trees at our campsite while we were camping. Couldn't even access my children after coming back from the bathroom. The workers are now harassing us parking in front of our site to intimidate us. BEWARE. CAMP at your own RISK this place does not care about their guests and will do nothing to ensure safety. UPDATE: Shortly after posting my honest review, campground management informed us that we were no longer welcome because of the review we left. Instead of addressing the serious concerns we raised, they chose to retaliate against paying guests for sharing their honest experience. I would like to add that the front desk lady informed me this was an ongoing problem and it was not just our site that was having aggressive raccoons, in the midst of insulting me. Therefore, the problem couldn't be fixed by moving sites, which would have been a half a day task, at minimum for me being alone with 5 children even if moving could solve the problem. It clearly was not a solution either way with it being a widespread issue. This tells me everything I need to know about how this campground operates. When confronted with legitimate criticism, management's response was not to fix the problems. Their response was to remove the customer. We reported ongoing safety concerns, including persistent raccoons repeatedly entering campsites and approaching campers. Rather than taking meaningful action to address those issues, management decided the problem was the guests who spoke up. If this is how they treat customers who leave an honest review, imagine how they handle complaints that are not made public. I stand by every word of my original review. This update is based on what management told us directly. Other campers deserve to know that leaving an honest, unfavorable review may result in being told they are no longer welcome. Businesses build trust by addressing legitimate concerns, not by punishing customers for speaking honestly. You can decide for yourself whether that is the type of business you want to support.

We notified the manager of this situation but by then had thousands of dollars worth of damage to our coach it took them over 2 months to repair the situation and weekly complaints. My wife had just started a new job in the area and although we really liked the trees in the space the damage to our coach was now substantial and was going to cost us a lot to repair. It was at this time that we discovered that the management here was very uncaring and unconcerned about the damage to our coach caused by their faulty electrical wiring so we posted our first negative review and then the managers began to retaliate against us. We discovered that the the managers have had these electrical problems for a long time and that many of the residents here have had damages to their coaches as well some of them have had so much damage in fact that they can't afford to move many of them are elderly and they don't have the means to move or their trailers are too old to get into a nicer Park so Palm View RV park is run by slumlords and owned by Anthony Delcao and he is a horrible human being.
