Ron and his team are THE BEST! We bought a house with a salt water pool last year and had no clue what to do being first time pool owners. The previous pool service man was non responsive and didn't fully answer our questions. We were BLOWN AWAY by Ron's level of service and promptness to answer all of our questions! When they came to open our pool he found out the motor needed to be replaced and worked extremally fast to get us a new motor and install it! Nothing but praise for Ron! This was my first time contacting Downriver Pools. I was having an issue with my inground liner, Ron answered the phone right away and was able to come out the next day. Luckily for me, the fix was an easy one. Ron made sure to show me how to take care of it myself if it happens again and was terrific about answering a few other questions I had. Ron has been taking care of my pool closing and openings since he refurbished my pool 5 years ago, with new liner, heater, pump and filter. I have a 16/32 in ground. Since then I have enjoyed sparkling water with no problems. Ron and his crew will always show up when they say they will, do a great job, clean up afterwards and are great value. I've dealt with Ron in the past. He's very fair in his pricing and estimates. He's professional, comes in and gets the work done. He's always friendly and gives tips for maintaining the pool longer and so it's easier to reopen the pool in the future. They always seem to be busy, but they try to get to you as soon as possible. I can't think of any time he's not been able to come on the day he says, unless it's pouring down rain of course. But I haven't had that either, so maybe he does! They also text reminders of the day he's coming and when he's on his way. Can't really beat him in any way that I can think of. Trusting, professional, friendly and cost effective. Give him a try. We hired Downriver Pool to replace our pool liner. This was to include taking away old liner and getting wrinkles out of new liner and filling with water...basically a completed replacement. They left the trash of the old liner behind, they put the new liner in, threw in two hoses and left. The pool liner has large wrinkles and creases in it. When the job was quoted, he said they would work the wrinkles out as the pool filled with water. No one stayed while the pool filled. When we called them to ask about the issues and why they didn't do what they were supposed to do, the owner immediately got hostile and tried to intimidate us by threatening to sue for the balance. I would never trust this company. read more
