I dont know what all the hype is about, i was a customer for freakin 8 yrs, there was not one time i didn't have an issue with them, one time Dustin reversed the water valve and water started filling under the liner, one time he didn't clean the pool for opening, than other time he didn't check the pool heater, there was been an issue, with them, adding baking soda to a normal ph water so it built algae than I had to go and buy extra chlorine! I have numerous complaints and I wish I had something good that came out of it, I always gave benefit of the doubt and they always took advantage! Its a shame they are not only rude but VERY UNRELIABLE. I am glad we walked away. read more

This place is wonderful. Our pool pump broke and instead of just selling us a new pool pump they looked at the pump and helped fix the motor. This saved us a lot of money. Before long, they know you by name, they know your pool, they likely remember where you live and they sell you ONLY what you NEED - and they truly know their product. I'm totally comfortable sending my kids with water samples and telling them to trust what they say, buy what they say is needed. This is the first time that I have a pool and I don't know how to take care of it. I called Pool Chem, today and they said to bring in a water sample and a picture of the pool. I got there and gave them the water sample. The lady looked at the pool and I showed her a picture of the dimensions. After calculating the number of gallons of water that the pool holds, she then tested the water. She gave me a report of the water analysis with the amount of chlorine to add. I only have to add 1 TBSP of chlorine per day. Additionally, she said to add a 1/2 box of baking soda. $13 for the chlorine that will last me until the end of summer + 50 cents for the baking soda. Since, this is the first time that I own a pool, they could have really sold me a bunch of chemicals that I didn't need. They told me, we want you swimming in as close to natural water as possible. Honest and knowledgeable Like many others, we inherited a pool with a house we bought last fall, and the owners highly recommended Pool Chem. The staff are wonderful. Very helpful, and keen to keep your costs as low as possible. I trust their recommendations, and, shockingly, our pool has been clear and beautiful all season so far! They keep it simple, which I appreciate. And, as many others have posted, they sell you baking soda in bulk -- much cheaper than products from other pool places -- and only when you need it. The place to go for all your pool needs. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer free water testing and don't try to sell you anything you don't need. Side note: I would have given them 5 stars, however, last time I was in there the owner had Rush Limbaugh playing on the radio. Not a good idea to fill your store with the sounds of such a divisive talk show host. You need to understand that over half your customers don't agree with Rush and a large number of them even despise him. read more
