DO NOT GO THERE!! THEY MESSED UP MY TRUCK AND WONT FIX IT…read more I have a 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty Turbo Charged truck. After driving vehicle for several weeks, there appeared to be mechanical issues with the vehicle, so it was taken to Route 9 Auto on January 24, 2017 for an assessment and estimate for services needed. Route 9 Auto reported that the front end of the vehicle was damaged and would need repaired, which included replacement of front axle. Prior to completion of service on vehicle, Route 9 Auto also determined the brake line had been damaged during service and would need to be replaced as well. The total cost for this service was $1,507.47 Based on knowledge of auto service and front-end vehicle maintenance, Route 9 Auto should have also performed an alignment to vehicle due to replacement of parts associated with the front end of vehicle and overall wheel performance. After several months, there appeared to be uneven wear on the inside of front tires, which is indicative of need to have tires professionally aligned. Because of Route 9 Auto's failure to perform an alignment at time of service in January 2017, replacement tires were purchased on July 11, 2017 and were professionally installed, mounted, and balanced by El's Tire Center. Despite new tires, there appeared to be ongoing issues with the wheel alignment of the vehicle, so Route 9 Auto was contacted, and a secondary alignment was performed, at vehicle owner's expense, on August 2, 2017. Due to uneven wear on tires, it was requested by the vehicle owner that Route 9 Auto reimburse and/or assist in the purchase of new front tires due to damage caused by Route 9 Auto's failure to complete a proper alignment on the vehicle when serviced in January 2017. At this time, Route 9 Auto also determined that adjuster tubes would need to be replaced. These repairs were completed on August 2, 2017 at a total cost of $150.00 After several more months, the alignment continued to appear off balance and the newly purchased front tires again began to show uneven wear. Route 9 Auto was again contacted in late September 2017 in regard to ongoing issues with the vehicle alignment and uneven wear on front tires. At this time, the vehicle owner requested that Route 9 Auto purchase two new front tires for the vehicle as well as completing a proper alignment. This request was denied, so receipts from all previous services were obtained and a request was made for the owner of Route 9 Auto, Mr. Bob Lawson, to contact the vehicle owner to discuss concerns and identify possible solutions to resolve the current issues with vehicle, which occurred due to Route 9 Auto's failure to complete a proper alignment. Mr. Lawson contacted vehicle owner by telephone on October 26,2017 and cited that Route 9 Auto would not be purchasing tires for the vehicle but requested that the vehicle be brought to Route 9 Auto for full evaluation, with the request that shop mechanic contact Mr. Lawson once vehicle was assessed. On October 27, 2017 the vehicle was once again taken to Route 9 Auto, at which point, it was suggested by mechanic that the "vehicle has too many front-end issues and is unsafe to drive". Vehicle owner expressed concerns regarding the report that vehicle was "unsafe to drive" citing that there had been no previous indication that the vehicle had additional issues during prior services. Furthermore, all work, to date, on the vehicle had been done by Route 9 Auto only. When inquiring into needed repairs on vehicle, vehicle owner was referred to Blue Hen Spring Works due to Route 9 Auto's refusal to complete any additional service work to the vehicle. In order to get a proper diagnosis of outstanding mechanical issues on the vehicle, vehicle owner then contacted Downs Automotive to schedule a second assessment of any issues with the vehicle and to determine if the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was assessed by Downs Automotive on October 31, 2017. After full diagnostic evaluation of the vehicle, Downs Auto determined that the vehicle was in good working order and "found no signs that the vehicle was unsafe to drive." Additionally, Downs Automotive indicated that the ongoing issues with uneven tire wear were directly related to improper alignment to the vehicle, which was previously completed by Route 9 Auto.

While venturing out the next day the truck started pulling to the right hard and grinding noises came from the front right wheel. I figured the wheel bearing was coming apart. I had the driver side bearing replaced 2 years ago, and in hind-sight should have done both. That being said, I broke down on a Sunday visiting a friend in Georgetown DE. I looked on line sitting on the side of the road and D&D Diesel came up waiting for the tow truck. I needed a truck shop not a car repair shop, so told the tow truck driver to drop my one ton off at D&D(They had 5 stars on several search engines). On Monday I called them and told them what I suspected was wrong. I told them I'm in town for 5 days for the cruise-in and needed the truck fixed in the next 4 days if they could fit me in. With no hope of them getting to it anytime soon, I made plans to rent a car to drive the family back to Louisville KY at the end of the week, then fly back in a week or two to rescue my truck and trailer. Patrick fit me in that day and had the truck repaired(wheel bearing and ABS sensor) the next day. The cost was what I paid two years ago for the other bearing. If you're a local or a visitor that has car problems, Patrick and D&D is the place to go. As a hot-rod builder, D&D is top shelf and did me a solid by fitting me in immediately.
