It took about 10 minutes to finish the car he was working on and he took my car back. 15 minutes later he came out and told me that I had a tiny nail, causing a tiny leak in my tire, I was so relieved he was able to repair it before the trip. I have nothing but great things to say about Tim and this company, they really helped me out. The price was great, I love being able to use neighborhood businesses that do a great job. If accurate, that raises serious questions. How does a business put company vehicles on the road without proper insurance coverage? My friend did nothing to cause this crash. She is now without the car she recently purchased, recovering from injuries, and dealing with a situation caused by one of this company's vehicles. A-One needs to take responsibility and make this right. Based on what has happened so far, I have little confidence they will. This entire situation is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company.

It's a Saturday. Luckily for my family the team at the garage saved the day. They were able to get all parts and install them the same day! Meanwhile, my family and I spent an awesome day swimming in the ocean while the work took place. The service rendered and price was fair. Its a pleasure to share a satisfied customer experience. The outside temp when I got my car back was 103. After about 10 minutes of driving, the air temp inside the car was almost obnoxiously cold. Absolutely amazing performance due to the heat and humidity outside. We are going to enjoy the 6 hour car ride home Monday during this epic heat wave ! Thanks for saving my trip ! Stay away from MATTS AUTO CARE! She (Karen Weidmann) has billed me for over $ 700 worth of work. Car has been sitting there for 3 months getting ruined from being parked under a berry tree. Karen said She was waiting for a part to come in which I paid for in advance, $200. Part was never ordered and work never done. She damaged my car and could not fix it. She claimed shipping on part delayed things, and was low on staff with one having surgery. So I gave her benefit of doubt and trusted her. She then proceeded and almost allowed my finance company to repossess the car. She informed them that I abandoned my vehicle. Stating that I abandoned it and had no communication in regards to the repairs on my vehicle. Any time I've had work done on a car they do the work and call when it's ready.... right?! I find this out because I contacted my Finance comp to make a payment. They said that would not be necessary bc they are sending someone to repossess it. I asked why... They stated Matts Auto said I abandoned it. I immediately sent her the text screen shots I had with Matts auto care showing me asking status of vehicle. She (Mrs. Weixmann) said it was my fault for not calling. Like I said I even paid for part in advance which is not typical. She said she received a $200 finders fee/ reward for disclosing the location of the car. She said the paperwork has been done on the repossession and refused to give me my car back. She lied to the finance company and myself. She also called the state police but claimed someone from Finance comp called. After talking to finance comp I find this is another lie. She said she gets finders fees/ rewards all the time for selling customers vehicles. So she basically charged a bogus $200 "for storage" in exchange for the car. Why would I keep paying car payments, car insurance and have repairs done on a car i abandoned?. I had my insurance company tow car to my home. Even he made a note on receipt about how bad car looks. Not only did she destroy the vehicle she almost destroyed my credit by saying i abandoned the car. I paid over $700 for repairs that were never done and had no car for over 3 months. Finance company reversed Repossession and ordered Matts Auto Care to Reimburse them the $200. I was able to get my car but It broke down within a few feet of driving home. This has been a horrible experience, do not use MATT'S AUTO CARE! read more

Had to get my car towed today. Called AAA and dispatched Matt's Auto Care. I have never had such difficulty before. The people at AAA were very nice but the woman I dealt with at Matts was extremely rude. She basically told me my car didn't need to be towed and wasted my whole day sending out different people to look at the car. After wasting the whole day, I called AAA again for a tow and once again they called Matt's. This time they actually towed the car but the tow truck driver did not believe me that the car needed to be towed and proceeded to waste more time trying to "fix" the car. Its unfortunate but I will never use Matt's Auto Care in the future. read more

Wow! My wife had a dead battery on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. I Googled shops near the ferry dock then called Wiedmann from NJ. They told me she could get a jumpstart on the ferry and that they'd be ready for her when she got there. They got her right in, changed the battery, tested the alternator, got her on the way, and texted me to let me know she was safe. Friendly, helpful, and fair-priced. Highly recommend! read more

I want to make sure I don't break down on a dark, dangerous highway. Mirror, Mirror on the wall who is the most reliable and fairest mechanic in this land? D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. They offered a fair price and replaced the assembly. During the process, they also checked my brake pads and rotors and fixed them up.
