Haley(sp?) was a wonderful bartender. That's where my GOOD comments end. Katy Perry was obnoxious. I overheard her yelling at one customer because he tipped her "only" 11%. The food was sub-par. The noise coming from the jukebox was horrendous. Yes, we're not in our thirties anymore, but I can't believe even people in their 40's were enjoying this assault on their ears. Your basic bar and grille foods. Sandwiches, salads, wings and pizza. A couple of specialty items like calzones or some seafood but nothing crazy. It's mostly a sports bar with over 20 something TV's and two pool tables. I think that's a little excess but hey no matter where you look you'll have something to watch. We only went here because it was a Sunday and the town was basically closed. We tried a museum and a pool hall but they were both closed. So we came in here just looking to play a few games of pool but stayed for the Bronco's-Patriots game, GO BRONCS!! We played 4 games of pool which cost $1 a game and I'm sad to say that I lost each game but only by one ball. While we played pool we ate a small salad, greek and a southwestern chicken salad. Both were good with enough dressing for an extra salad. I really enjoyed them. After the 4th pool game ended the Bronco game was starting so we ordered some beers and relaxed. The place wasn't packed at all, only 20 people in a place that holds 100+. We had two giant TV's to look at, one 55in and a 60in. They had the average beers were on tap Bud, Coors, Blue Moon, yuengling, etc. I ordered something I've never had before. The 312 beer which is like a light beer maybe belgium but i'm not sure. It was very easy to drink with a crisp finish which for me is a very enjoyable beer to just throw back. After a few cold ones and the game ending we headed out. I did happen to meet a very friendly white man who was very intrigued with the fact that we were an interracial couple. He had a lot of questions about our life but in a very nice and curious way. Plus he has a nephew that's mixed in a town with 98% caucasian population. It didn't bother me cause in the end he was nice enough to buy me a beer. I believe he was flirting with me even though my hubby was sitting right there. He didn't mind though because he drank half of it! I would return here if I ever got back to Salesville, Oh. Hopefully it will be on a weekday when the city isn't dead and also they don't have a liquor license for Sundays. This means that on Sunday they cant sell liquor but they can M-Sa. Stopped in for the first time the other day. Very clean and spacious place. Large center bar, all the walls are covered in TV's like you would expect at a sports bar. The wait staff were friendly and prompt. I'm on a diet so I ordered the keto burger salad, burger medium. My wife ordered a cajun chicken sandwich. Her sandwich was OK according to her, she didn't need the top of the bun, it was pretty thick and extra crunchy. I think it was $6 for a 6", not terrible but didn't include a side of fries or anything. As for my salad, meh. It was just a salad with some spinach and romaine, couple cherry tomato slices and a speck of avocado bits. One slice of grilled red onion that was likely grilled a couple days ago, very dry. The burger which I was looking forward to was nothing more than a hockey puck patty. For sure frozen and heated in a microwave, doubt it was heated on the flat top. I was beyond disappointed. Burger was dry, well past medium, more like well done plus a little extra. Just plain boring and I think I paid like $10.00 for this turd. I'm giving 3 stars solely based on how good their pizza looked, amazing. Wish I would have just gotten one of those. The menu is very large, too large for a bar in my opinion. The pool tables were the only good thing about this place. If you're looking for a place to get good drinks, this isn't it. I ordered screwdrivers and even with a double shot I couldn't taste any alcohol, all watered down. We ordered food and after waiting a half hour, found out they had been sitting on the counter as a take out order. Plus none of the bartenders were friendly at all and the music was terrible. Nothing really special. They were able to make a decent drink and even when I didn't know what kind of drink I wanted the waitress brought one that was pretty good that she recommended. The food is bar food. Took awhile to get there, especially on a night that wasn't busy. And it was nothing to write home about. But here was the problem. We were there with another couple and my husband asked for one check so we could pay for all 4 of us. He went to pay the tab and we left shortly after. The next time our friends went in they were asked to leave for not paying the tab the time we all went together. Of course they just paid it, but they should have had the billing taken care of the way we told them to so our friends didn't have to go through that. It's bad business. Worst marketing skills I've ever witnessed. I'm from out of state and was up in Cambridge to visit family and wanted to catch my Redskins on Sunday and was told the only place in town that would have the NFL Sunday Ticket would be Downtown Arena. Upon arrival, I confirmed with the hostess that they had the Sunday Ticket, but she didn't even know! After going and asking a co worker, we sat down and waited for the game. This restaurant has a lot of TV's, yet they show the same channel on just about every TV, even if they're SIDE BY SIDE. I even asked the waitress if she could change the channel on the TV right above our table to the Redskins game, which by the way nobody was looking or even remotely facing, and she pointed to another TV and told me I could watch it there. REALLY!?!?! And I cannot make this up, at one point, more than 75% of the TVs on one wall were all on the SAME EXACT CHANNEL. As an NFL fan, I was really disappointed with the lack of service. More than 7 NFL games were on yet only a handful were shown. Not to mention the fact they don't serve liquor on Sundays, of all days. You would think the only restaurant in town with that many TVs would have better marketing skills. If I were the owner, I would be advertising that I have the Sunday TIcket with all those TVs, and serve liquor on Sundays and keep that place packed all year long! I heard they're putting in a new Buffalo Wild Wings in town, guarantee they will shut Downtown Arena down. In summary, food is average, service is poor, and their lack of sense and marketing is just embarrassing. One star. Good luck when the new BDubs opens. read more
