Perks of Goddard: - Every teacher has a college degree - Your child will be in or around six months of his age, like my daughter is in a 3 - 3 1/2 room and she is almost 3 1/2. This is a huge factor to consider, not only will your child be learning everything they should at this milestone, they will be with there peers in the same age group all day long, you don't get this at any other childcare facility much less public school system setting. This is where your child will grow and thrive because they aren't stuck in a group of kids that range from a few months old to 5. - Structure - i can't say enough about how structure makes a huge attitude adjustment and just a good flow for your kiddo. Having a daily schedule and it being the same is a great routine for anyone even if your 30 or 80! - Nutrition - they have a monthly planner you can get and it will let you know exactly what your kid is eating daily. - Activities - there is a weekly themed activity. I remember one in particular such as learning about fire and what not, and they actually had a firetruck come out for a day for the kiddos to see. - Therapies - If your child has any sort of therapies that need addressed, you can have your own therapist come in at anytime and provide therapy for your child, they usually have a space that they can go to to provide care. These are just what I can think of at the moment! This place is beyond amazing...if you even just tour it you will not want to go anywhere else. If its even within or more than $100 of your budgeted amount...you should cut off a luxury item and give your kid some top notch care. There are so many good things I have to say about this school, and oh yes I will go on, But if i miss anything I am truley sorry! lets start with the falcutly, they ROCK!, every morning they are always happy to see us and aowyn is just as excited to see them. I swear during interviews, morning person, must be a requirment! Always friendly and always there to help in anyway possible!! The school is very clean and rooms are always in order. somehow even rooms occupied with kids and the kids playing there isn't a mess to be found! I need to figure out how they do it! the playground and area to play outside seems just like the perfect amount of space and equipment! nothing cluttered, and there is ample amount of room to get the kids stretch out there legs. The price is very affordable, It can seem on the high end, but these are people who actually TEACH your child things, not just have them in their home for the day. For the cost, you really do not get a lot of food so I would highly recommend not planning on this being your dinner I was disappointed and did not mention that we would be sitting with someone else and so if you are a germ phobic , this is definitely not for you. We made pasta and everyone at our table contributed to making the pasta with their hands, and it really made me feel uncomfortable. They provide everything for the recipes they do not offer any drinks minus water. Everything else is BYOB. This is a great experience. I recommend it just a heads up on what to expect.

This camp offers kids from any income level the opportunity to go away to camp. They can learn to swim, climb a tower, perfect their artistic talents and so much more. The leadership program includes wilderness adventures of hiking and canoeing, takes them on college visits, lets them experience how volunteer service feels and gives them to skills to get to a job at the end of the 4 year program. While the kids think they are just having fun, the real goal is to give them the skills and desire to further their education...college or vocational...and break the cycle of poverty. It also is a wonderful work experience for young adults. Teaching them responsibility, exposing them to diversity and hopefully influencing their attitudes about the potential of all children if they are just given the opportunities and skills needed to succeed. If you are thinking of sending your kids to camp, SFC is a nurturing environment that will challenge them. They'll walk through the woods and sing songs around campfires. The knowledge, love and compassion that they have for each and every horse there is impressive. They bring new life to this facility that it was in desperate need of. They are the hardest working barn managers that I have ever met and I have boarded my horses for over 20 years. They have put their heart and soul into making sure that this barn is safe, pleasant and well maintained. They are professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic and go the extra mile in everything that they do. The care that they provide is amazing. I guarantee you that Danyel knows every horses name and special needs on that property. She takes a lot of pride in the services that they provide and it shows. The facility is very clean. They also offer lessons and training which I highly recommend. Danyel personally trained one of my rescue horses that came from horrific conditions of neglect and abuse. When we first brought him home you couldn't even get close to him without him striking out. He was terrified. After 90 of him being with Danyel she was riding him bareback around the property. He went on to become an amazing horse. She was gentle and kind with him and asked him all the right questions. He responded to that. I highly recommend her for training.

Lots of fun activities, including swimming, hiking, horseback riding, archery, target shooting, climbing wall, ropes course, crafts, outdoor skills, nature exploration, and more. It's not convenient for us to get to, but everyone we've known who's gone has loved it and wants to do it again the next year. Be careful about using Google for directions. If you punch in the address, it correctly finds it, but if you just search for Camp Ondessonk it puts a pin in the map in the wrong location, looks like a few miles away from the actual camp, at somebody's house. Hopefully they'll get this fixed soon.

My grandson received an injury while attending a week long stay at Ondessonk in June 2026. The skin…read morewas scrapped off his knee completely. His mother received a voicemail saying that he had been injured but that it was not bad. He spent the night in the clinic and the next day his father picked him up as it was the last day of camp. The knee was wrapped and no one came out to explain what had happened. After the 2 hour trip home the leg was unwrapped exposing the injury. They rushed him to a nearby clinic to have it properly diagnosed and evaluated. The Camp and the Belleville Diocese although being informed has not made any efforts to apologize or check on his well being. I will not be sending my grandchildren there in the future due to their inept handling of this situation.

Finally someone sitting at a table told us what to do. After about 15 minutes, one of the people working there came over to us and began giving us directions on how to work with the clay and a few utensils they had to use on the clay. He kept saying, just do whatever you want to do with the clay, and we didn't know what our options were "to do with the clay". When I asked for examples of what we could do, they really had no examples, and he pointed to work that was on the shelves that other people had done. It was very frustrating. We felt like little kids given some play doh. So we were supposed to get a call when our projects were done, no phone call. I finally called and our projects had been done a couple weeks prior. When I went to pick them up, they were on a shelf outside the studio, so I had no interaction with anybody when I went to pick our projects up. I would not suggest anyone go to this studio. They run it like a kids play doh class??
