I left for the service and went to cancel my membership and everything and told them why I was leaving. Paid the cancellation fee and everything required to cancel for. 2 and half years later and still active in service (not even in close to the area anymore, states away) I get calls from collections stating that I was placed in a collections due to a debt I owed the gym that they filed against me. Messed with my credit and everything now I'm having to deal with this ignorance after I already dealt with them and cancelled how I was needed to correctly. This place is not where you want to do business and they're not even accredited by the BBB. Do not get conned into something and deal with the headache like I am dealing with and shouldn't be dealing with. They're apparently not military friendly so I would keep that in mind.

When being sold a membership, ask other members what they have paid before you sign, cause chances are they got a back alley deal that is better than what was offered to you. Also, 3 different people got skin infections from simply touching the nasty equipment with their bare skin. There are other gyms in town that are clean, yet who are not giving shady deals.

This place is freaking HUGE and has SO MUCH EQUIPMENT. They have plenty of treadmills in multiple locations (you're nervous about being in the open? No problem they have some in a back room), but I'm more into weights - I love that they have every type of weight to choose from, plenty of racks, AND they have so many individual pieces of equipment. Sometimes free weights/racks make me nervous, so having individual machines is freaking awesome and the ease of use is so much better. They have multiple spaces, including a back room that is pretty secluded which is perfect for new people/for stretching. They also have balls, steps, small weights, etc back there. They truly are an all encompassing gym. My only complaint (some people don't care about this) - it is very overwhelming for women AND for those of us that aren't SUPER fit. I will not come in here without my fiancé because I'm too nervous haha! It's....a lot. There's a lot of really fit people and coming from a small planet fitness, this is a lot to take in. Overall, great location. The equipment seems to be kept up nicely, and there's something for everyone.

To get your money back, you have to check-in on social media every time you're there, let them use your before and after pictures, post a review on here (FYI - Businesses should not be asking for reviews. It's against Yelp's conflict of interest policy), and lose 25 lbs. Losing 25 lbs is not the same for everyone as far as percentage of body weight. You have to go 3x a week for an hour. It's a one-size-fits-all mentality. I'm looking for something more personalized. It's not just about losing weight, it's about losing inches, gaining muscle and confidence, etc. Jeremy is a no nonsense and direct motivator if that's what you're looking for. I'm not willing to risk the money for something I'm not sure will motivate me. Kickboxing is 2 nights a week. It's a group setting. It seemed very disorganized while I was there, both the class and the space. Very small and crowded space, very claustrophobic. Didn't feel very clean. Mismatch of equipment. Jackets and bags all over the place. Parking is a nightmare. I tried to ask questions, which weren't answered directly, was made to feel my questions were just excuses. Was not impressed with space, staff, or sales pitch.

I did not have that experience, the guy at the front desk was very helpful. I was visiting WashU so he helped me sign up for a free trial. They also have free lifting for high school students with IDs over the summer. These are all positives. The bathrooms are clean. One downside is they do not have squat racks. Everything is based on the Smith machines (see photo). Of which there are 5. Maybe this is a characteristic of Planet Fitness but not sure. They do have plenty of dumbbells. It wasn't crowded so there was no competition for machines or weights. I definitely go against the bad staff perception here

Today completely changed my experience. While I was inside working out, someone's vehicle was stolen and my car window was smashed. I've now been waiting over 2.5 hours for police, and there has been no manager on-site and no security patrolling the property. What's most concerning is the lack of urgency or care. It honestly feels like situations like this are just accepted here. Members are left completely vulnerable, especially during early morning hours. A gym should be a place where you feel safe, not somewhere you walk out to find your car damaged. This was unacceptable. I will be canceling my membership immediately, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.
