NOT WORTH IT So usually, our service is pretty good. Today, however, we experienced about a 35-minute on two chicken quesadilla. The food came out hot, but the lettuce had been sitting under a heater and got wilted and was very unsatisfying. The worst part about the experience was that we were only a handful of people in the bar at the time, and the owners were there. They were very engaged in taking social media photos of their new and highlighted drink menu and also drinking those same drinks that were being used for this marketing and social opportunity. The disappointment was everyone was so distracted with the owners there. The owners never even came to us and said, hi, how are things going? And when we left, no one said bye. It was just so disappointing, distracting, and I want people to know that we are locals that could have been a regular at this establishment. Stopped here while traveling back to Florida. Wasn't the highest rated seafood spot in Brunswick but it was downtown where we wanted to be and the other spot was in some generic shopping center. Still a 4.2 Yelp rating isn't bad. Very much a sports bar feel with lots of tvs. Ordered a couple cocktails, shrimp and grits, fried okra, and the shrimp tacos. Well let's start with our great server Rachel. She was friendly, gave great suggestions and was super to talk to. When we discussed my wife's bell pepper allergy, she immediately informed the kitchen to be sure everything was cleaned before her order was started. You just can't get that kind of service anymore. We started with the chili tots. Crispy tots, smothered in chili, queso, sour cream and green onions. The last bite was still crispy and never got mushy. These are highly recommended. For an entree I had the chicken and waffles. 2 huge chicken tenders tossed in hot honey. Waffles made in house with strawberry butter. This was the most perfectly matched chicken and waffle I have ever eaten. The place is primarily a bar, so it's that kind of atmosphere but the food far surpasses that of bar food. This is a great new venue in Brunswick, ga on the up and coming Newcastle Street!!! It is a bar/restaurant. The bar is located in the middle of the restaurant with tables all around the bar. We went the very first night they were officially open and were very pleased with the drinks and food offerings. I did get some wings but we were headed out to another place to eat. The wings were prepared perfectly and I had them with mild buffalo sauce. Excellent! My husband had a margarita and I had a special from the menu ...both were served with a smile. We will go back, in fact we did but there was not as much seating because of 1st Friday. They removed the bar stools from 1/2 of the bar to accommodate more people, and give servers some room. What a cute place!! We came in for lunch and Rachel greeted us. She was so friendly and told to have a seat. She grabbed our drinks and then asked if we wanted an appetizer. We got the tatter tots - first these are made with chili, so I had to talk about my allergy and make sure there wasn't peppers in it. I was here for one of the recent first Friday events downtown, Cooter Browns was slammed, but we somehow still got a table for 4 without much of a wait. Our server was amazing and she was a lot of fun. She recommended this brisket dog, and I can't stop telling people about how amazing it is. The service is slow at best. 15 min to get a refill on a coke. 45 min to get a burger. The servers are extremely nice but more attentive to regulars than first timers. "Cooter" has weekday specials; all I've had to date are fantastic. The chicken wings are the best downtown; they are plump, moist and have a "just perfect" coating of sauce. Well, I gave it a three time try and I'm still equally disappointed the third time as I was the first the prices were absolutely ridiculous. $17 for a steak steak sandwich the other time I had the grouper dish and it came out the size of a golf ball And drink prices were just absolutely nuts two or three bills were over $80 and that's just ridiculous for a bar that sells burgers. I don't usually leave reviews but I feel like the restaurant has so much potential to be good. I ordered the sweet heat burger and Mac and cheese, I liked the idea of the sweet heat burger but the burger was so bland that all I could taste was cream cheese. What little I could taste of the jam was amazing though. The Mac and cheese was not great it was grainy,had no flavor, and was dry. I hope this gets considered because I like this place but at the price point and lack of much flavor I don't see it lasting long as much more than a bar read more
