Walked in on busy Thursday evening for evening. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. The restaurant is decorated beautifully on the inside and has a perfect atmosphere on the patio. Our waitress Jennifer was amazing and so on point even though she had so many tables. We started off with the Cesar salad which was so fresh and delicious. Definitely a must have. I had the flounder fingers with fries. Another amazing dish! Everything came out hot and was fried to perfection! Highly recommend this place. read more

Skip this one. Friendly service and nice ambience, but the food is mid. I will give a shout out to the jerk nachos--those are solid. But the blackened shrimp are tiny and not very flavorful (a real tragedy in coastal Georgia), the cheese grits barely a step above diner grits, and my friend's "rare" burger was wildly overcooked. Adding insult to injury, the key lime pie was drizzled with caramel. Who does that? Overall, while you could do worse on the island, you could also do a lot better. I'll go for the beer and the wonderful people but what I got today was nothing I'd ever get again. I don't know if it's a popular dish or not or maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen but it was the shrimp nacho. It was taco chips covering a large sort of cookie sheet, corn/pineapple chow chow (I think) was scarcely scattered on top, a few very small shrimp were dotted on the top, then there was white cheese to top it off. I wish I had taken a picture....i can't believe this would even be on the menu. I think it was $18 . If this is the recipe, it should be reevaluated. read more

I am here again and experienced delicious food and excellent service in a beautiful atmosphere which has been remodeled since my last visit. There were 3 of us and everyone enjoyed the food.....but our sweet waitress, Hannah , really made our meal even more special. I had shrimp and oysters with a salad and Brussels sprouts. All of it was just right....but the sprouts were very different and so so good. Two of us had key lime pie that was presented so beautifully. Super seafood, sides, service and atmosphere! My fiancée, mom and I checked in late (stayed in Airbnb nearby the beach). It was a Sunday night and not a lot of places were open. This was the first restaurant we saw from our place and decided to try it. At the time, they had a live band playing. It was too loud and we couldn't hear each other. Our server was patient with any questions we had. Their menu is simple. Pub and grub food, mainly seafood but they do have sandwiches, appetizers and burgers. Their drink menu was simple. Pricing was definitely reasonable. My lady, her mom, and I got in to St. Simon's Island late on a Sunday and were looking for a place to eat. Not much was open but we found this place was hopping so we stopped by. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The food was good, the service was excellent, and it was fairly laid back. There was a live band playing which I didn't expect on a Sunday night but it was alright. Their libations menu was nice and nicely priced. Food-wise was kinda your standard pub grub with a few tasty surprises. Wishing our experience was a good one but, unfortunately, it was not. Great location in the Village however the food was underwhelming to say the least. Visited on a Labor Day entertaining out of town guests only to be extremely disappointed . Ordered the jerk chicken nachos with an embarrassingly small, almost nonexistent, amount of jerk chicken in the dish. Another ordered the pepper, butter shrimp to arrive swimming in a large bowl of oil with an unidentifiable brownish sediment in the bottom. Very unappetizing. In hindsight, wish we had spoken to a manager but instead left after paying knowing this was a "one and done" experience for us at Mullet Bay. read more

We smashed a parking spot right out front & headed in. There was plenty of porch seating, but I'm always cold & wanted to be inside. I overheard the ladies in front of us putting in their names for a wait- they were fairly busy- so we opted to sit at the bar. Ben was our bartender & server and fabulous! John got a beer & I had a bourbon & coke & we ordered. Drinks were up so fast! I swear I blinked and he was setting down my cocktail! Foods came out fast too, I went with clam chowder & John had their shrimp basket. Everything was delicious! John finished the little bit of my soup I had left & I tried his fried shrimp! Stopped in the other day for happy hour. Rumor has it that it had recently come under new management. Mullet Bay has a gorgeous veranda with lots of umbrellas and shade which was lovely as the day was hot. Well drinks were $4 and wine $5 during happy hour. Very nice deal. We also tried their happy hour wings which were very good. Service was excellent. Definitely a place to go for happy hour. We will have to try their entrees next time. read more

The New England chowder was excellent and we are from New England so we know. The Jamaican chicken tacos were not great. Not very spicy at all with a creamed cheese on top. We went for Happy Hour but the menu online is way outdated and everything is double the prior price or not available. They really need to fix that. Server was pleasant but was selling herself as a realtor and I felt kinda put on the spot. Not appropriate when serving people at a completely different job. She also never refreshed my water (and I had just played tennis so I needed it), and we had to ask the busser for water at least 3 times. A plus was my super strong Woodford Old Fashioned, which I struggled through even on top of food because my tolerance is not good with how little I drink. But I did totally appreciate the flavor and the heavy pour for my money! We tried the fried pickles HH app. They were okay, but there were SO MANY of them. If you like fried pickles you will love it. We struggled to eat that many because, well, it's a ton of pickles! My husband's shrimp entree was okay, not memorable. My son's chicken fingers were chewy in a yuk way. He really wanted to earn dessert but struggled on those things the whole time we were there until my husband just finished them. Thus we skipped dessert (hint: feed customers non-chewy nuggets and they buy dessert). My son did like the Mac n cheese. My Swiss and mushroom burger was very tasty. I'd return for that. All ingredients fresh and flavors coming through in proportions and contrasts expected for that standard pub burger taste. The live music was great. Nice plus on the porch as night fell. My burger, drink and the live music did it for me this time. Hopefully next time my son and husband will have better luck. I'll change my rating though if more entrees prove to be poor choices. Love the ambiance and we had a very courteous, competent and sweet server (hard to come by these days)! My Fiance loved the shrimp, and I had a great burger. My burger didn't come with all the advertised toppings. When I asked our server about it, she made it her mission to make it right for me. When a problem is handled like that, it's no big deal! This is one of my go to restaurants in the area. Food is always decent. The house salad with the mahi added is my favorite.

Really good happy hour, gets busy. Indoor and deck seating. cheap prices on beer and wine and basic bar drinks. Recommended.

Second time visiting this location in a span of a couple months. Service- 0 stars. Walk in and they are talking about who's full and who's got openings, literally starts to walk away from us and hollers "you can follow me." Proceeds to sit us and we sat and sat and sat while three service girls stood at the bar and chatted it up with the bartender. Multiple girls passed and never came to our table. Never got waters. Literally left and no one was even at the counter. First time we ate here the food was decent but our waitress was clearly higher than a kite. read more

Let's start with the exterior and interior, old, very grimy and generally unkempt, but something you do t notice until your seated and looking around. According to our waitress this has been a restaurant for over 40 years and that was probably the only time it was cleaned!! When walking in a gaggle of teenage girls where just standing around until after a few minutes we were acknowledged and then seated, our waitress did come to the table in a timely manner and was very sweet. The prices are within reason and actually the food with the exception of one dish was pretty good. We had clam chowder and popcorn shrimp as appetizers and both tasty. Our main dishes were chicken quesadilla, which was huge, it was actually an appetizer and it was meal portions, the other dish was hamburger steak which was really a hamburger patty, ugh. This is probably a restaurant that relies on one time tourist stops, it would be a pretty fun place with a good scrub!! read more

Came here for the first time over Christmas break. We were sat almost immediately, and had a very attentive waitress. She gave honest feedback on menu items when we were torn making decisions, which was much appreciated. Food came out quickly, was cheap, and a huge portion. Also, Miller Lite was on draft for only $2. All in all, no complaints from me and would definitely come again. Decor is a little outdated, but I think it adds to the Saint Simons/beachy vibe. read more
