We were craving crab legs and Sunrise Grill met that craving with a bang! Cute little restaurant in the beach village. My daughter said it was her favorite! Great service even towards of the end of the night. We also had the blackened shrimp, by far the best shrimp we had the entire time on the island (or nearby islands)!

My favorite lunch spot on Jekyll Island never disappoints! The Paradise Island salad with grilled shrimp was excellent. Plentiful ingredients, not just a bowl of lettuce, were fresh and tasty. The house dressing is delicious! Fish of the day (trigger) sandwich blackened was well- seasoned and a generous portion. The sandwich's accompanying fries were hot and crispy. The cool temperature inside was a welcome respite from the late summer heat outside. Our server Jessie was attentive and friendly. All in all, a fantastic lunch experience!

Casual and relaxed with fresh seafood... what more can you want beachside? We found this spot online and detoured to get here on the trip home from Savannah. It was our first time on the island;and, but it won't be our last. We found this restaurant and the seafood was swimming in the morning and on our plate for a late lunch. That's fresh! I had the local catch and it was flaky, juicy and perfectly blackened on my sandwich. My wife had the mahi sandwich, also blackened. The fish was moist and the rolls fresh. Both sandwiches were accompanied with seasoned fries that were done just right - crispy on the outside and tender inside. The drinks were done right and the rum punch a good seaside choice. The staff was friendly and entertaining in their own way... made us outsiders feel very welcome on this small seaside gem.

There are limited options on the island so we opted to try this place wanting something cheap. We got seated right away on a Saturday for lunch. Both indoor and outdoor seats are available. My table tried a few items on their basic menu including Cesar salad with fried shrimp, Mahi fish salad, onion ring, calamari with Asian sauce on side, hamburger with side salad. The onion rings were thick and well fried. Calamari was also crisp since we ordered the sweet chili sauce on the side which I highly recommend. Unsure of how much the kitchen would over or under cook the burger, I ordered mine medium well hoping it would be medium. But it seems as they did more well done which was disappointing. Overall, the dishes were simple and also simply prepared. Prices were higher than we had hoped for but the portion size was fair. Service was nice and the food was brought out in an appropriate speed. Not sure I would go out of my way to return here should I return.

I saw at the bar for a quick lunch. Ordered a slaw dog with Mac and an ordered of GA wild shrimp fried with their cheese grits. Needed a hotdog after the seafood I've been eating on the island. I'll just say the service at the bar was fantastic and the fried shrimp was arguably the best I've had in my life. The seasoning they used is spectacular. This will definitely be on my list when I come back to the island. I'm telling, get the fried shrimp! Can't believe this place has a 3.9 star rating.

They have definitely went up in price. I am pretty sure french fries haven't went up that much. A side of fries is $5.29 I believe. So I was expecting a decent size. They also charge a 20% to go fee for "utensils and condiments". This is a money hungry business and the guy at the bar is rude and unpleasant. Hopefully they read the comments and do better.

READ YOUR BILL. They hit you with hidden charges, like a 3% credit card fee and a 20% "Service Charge!" Then they still ask for a tip.

There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!

Christmas Buffet? No thank you!…read more We had reservations for Christmas Brunch at the Grand Dining Room. It wasn't what we had anticipated. First of all, seating was slow. We had reservations for a small party of three. They were not prepared to seat us at the reservation time. About fifteen minutes later, I asked how much longer we should expect. They told me they would check and get back to me. They never did. Only after I re-approached the hostess' desk, did they look into it and FINALLY find us a table. Despite a reservation for the "Grand Dining Room," many people were seated in small, nondescript rooms on the periphery of the Grand Dining Room... kind of like how children are banished to side rooms/tables for meals at family gatherings. Not exactly the atmosphere people are expecting... or paying for. The food was also a disappointment. When we made the reservation and paid the more than $100/person (even for pre-schoolers) we anticipated a nice, multi-course meal, not a largely self-serve buffet with mediocre cuisine. It reminded me of a Golden Coral. Actually... at least Golden Coral has sneeze guards! I never understood why "upscale" places like this allow people to serve themselves. People using their hands to serve themselves while also eating with their hands in line and at their table... it's pretty gross. Why not hire a few additional staff members to SERVE guests to make sure things are at least sanitary. Bottom line, I wouldn't dine here. The cost was excessive, especially considering the realities of the service and experience they're providing.

A very wide variety of options and they replenished often. Service was great, for such a busy day. We had the last seating time and you can tell the servers had been on it all day, But they still didn't miss a beat. Was disappointed that they ran out of the bottles of Caymus. Felt like that could've easily been prevented, but that's just me being picky.
