I was recommended to Knipe Dermatology. I made an appointment with Dr. Marrone to remove a large lipoma from my back. Well, this caring, knowledgeable doctor checked me out top to bottom, found minute basal cells and zapped them, patiently answered each question, put me on a newer medication to deal with my asthma, eczema, allergies, and easily had me scheduled to complete procedures. Had a full body check and Dr. Marrone took a biopsy on my forehead. It came back basel cell CA so they scheduled me to come back and cut it out and stitched me up. I waited for the pathology report to come back and the margins were clean so I was on my way. Waiting for the pathology report took about an hour, the procedure from when I entered the room till I went to the waiting room was about 20 min. We had to wait for the numbing to kick in. The procedure was about 5 min. very good experience, I sent her information to my girlfriend and she made an appointment for her full body check. read more

I'm healing up from my latest procedure which went well and the margins are clear, Hallelujah! I've had excellent treatment at their office and have nothing but great things to say about the doctor and her staff. Everyone is super friendly, helpful, attentive, and very professional. I also had a large brown spot on my left cheek the good doctor recommended a prescription cream that I use 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. My spot is almost gone. It was big and I hated it. I accompanied my boyfriend yesterday to see Dr. Marrone for a growth on his ear. We ended up being there for a few hours but it was worth every minute. After obtaining the biopsy results from his PCP, Dr. Marrone reviewed and consulted with his doctor and asked if he wanted the tumor removed from his ear yesterday or if he preferred a return appointment. We were so impressed with the care and professionalism displayed by everyone we came into contact with in that office. Nurse Denise really stood out with the attention she gave us. She kept us informed every step of the way. She has been working there for 26 years which is indicative of the kind of practice Dr. Knipe runs. It was a sincere pleasure being treated there. The "doctoring", done by Dr. Marrone, was outstanding, as it always is. Dr Marrone is a very competent professional and her examinations are always thorough. She is also cordial and friendly, which tends to make her patients more relaxed. There are two things about this visit that are disturbing to me. First, I was taken from the waiting room into an exam room where, after a brief interview, the assistant instructed me to remove all of my clothes, except my underwear, and wait for the doctor to come in. Then she placed a "giant Kleenex" on the counter surface, and said I could cover up with that. I waited in that room for over a half hour, alone, near naked and freezing cold, trying to figure out how to keep warm using the "giant Kleenex". The bottom line to this issue is that a patient should NEVER have to spend more than 5 minutes alone and near naked in an exam room. Knipe Dermatology needs to address this issue and adjust their process to prevent it. My second issue is that I believe the medical assistants must wear gloves when doing ANYTHING to or for a patient, i.e., preparing to administer injections, preparing to apply medications to affected areas, and so on. Based on the above two issues, I assign a total rating of 2 stars out of 5 for this visit. read more

This is one of the most professional offices I go to. The staff at the front desk/check-in are always friendly. They always run very close to their appointment times, if not right on. I have been seeing Amy Wells, ARNP, for several years now. She is very professional and extremely sweet. I have had a few biopsies done over the several years I have been going there. She explains everything and why she is biopsying the area, and I never have any issues afterwards. The office is very clean. I highly recommend making an appointment before you leave, as it may be a little while before you can get in. The parking is plentiful. Highly recommend this dermatology office. read more

I asked if the Dr. specialized in the area I was seeking assistance with and she said "Well, he doesn't specialize in anything." Besides, he is not taking new patients. I inquired if someone else in the office could see me and she said a nurse practitioner. I then asked if I needed to see a Doctor after thatf, who would I see and she rudely said "you wouldn't.". What? So, I can see a nurse but if my case (which is fairly complicated) said you should see a doctor, I couldn't? Very very bad first impression. As in, "we're too busy for you." I have been going to the Oviedo office for years and have never seen the doctor but have always been treated well. This last time I went for my annual check up I was told that I needed quite a few spots frozen. I asked for them not to go crazy like the previous year. I ended up with around 18 spots, 2 of which they left it on too long. I ended up with 2 areas that they burned me bad enough which ended up with a boil which then got infected. I sent a letter to the office letting them know and received NOTHING.. No I'm sorry, no, come on in.. I will NEVER go back to that office again.. I now have 2 nice scars for life read more

I picked this doctor because he offered photo dynamic therapy and I have had many instances of BCC (slowest least dangerous of SC.) I lost my previous Dr due to our president who said if I wanted to keep my Dr. I could but that didn't turn out to be true. I don't blame them, they have to make money and to be honest they are the best in town with both a derm and a plastic onsite for when you do need MOHS you aren't Frankensteined. Erica and Michael Savage, if you can get them, THE BEST. Anyhow, no doc, just a PA, two biopsies which where sent to Pathology Specialists, the most expensive pathologist in town charging 3+ times as much as my prior doc's preferred. 682 dollars for two biopsies vs 130 each for Ameripath. Never offered an option when one could have been given. How come you have to have a written estimate to get work on your car but not your body? One came back positive, dead smack in the middle of my right side mustache. A spot about the size of a pin head. They said MOHS, I said NO, not going to ruin my mustache for life first off, what's the alternative? They said MOHS, I explained that that would be my last option. Asked "What if the doc wanted to cut your nose off, would you just say OK or look for alternative?" Was told "Would have nose cut off". What kind of doctor says that? Needless to say they refused to treat me because I refused MOHS first. What happened to "Do no harm". Got second opinion immediately said spot so small that Aldera would have high probability of working. Nothing lost by trying. Any doctor who WON'T discuss alternatives with you should have there licence revoked. How full of himself, no consideration for patient concerns. Laughably sent me a certified letter saying they no longer wanted to treat me because I objected to his treatment, as if I had Melanoma. BCC can go for years untreated with little risk. Thanks for doing me the favor now enjoy what I am good at. The internet. Hope I can save someone else the total disdain this doctor has for patients needs. Go there at your own peril, hope you leave with all your features. You know who I am, I have the letters, refute what I say. FWIW Aldera is working perfectly, imagine that and I even suggested that to him and was ignored. read more
