From helping with my…read moreacne wayy back then, to now helping me post partum -- I can't be happier with the care and services here. Dr P is very approachable and listens to concerns without pushing crazy expensive products ( unless ofc that's what you want). They provide discounts on items purchased on certain days of the week as well as Botox at their winter park location. I've been following up yearly for skin cancer checks and they are very thorough!

I went in because I have a deep line between my eyes that does not go away. I specifically asked about fillers, but instead Dr. P recommended Botox and assured me it would fix the issue. I paid for the Botox treatment, but it only lasted about a month and the line quickly came back. What was even more disappointing was the recommendation for a BBL treatment to remove the dark spots on my face. I trusted the advice and spent a significant amount of money on this treatment, but my dark spots did not improve at all. After the treatment, when I sent photos to the office showing that nothing had changed, I was told that I would need additional treatments that were never mentioned during my initial consultation, and those treatments would cost even more money. I felt misled and extremely frustrated. I spent a lot of money based on their recommendations and saw no real results. Instead of addressing the problem, the solution seemed to be recommending more expensive treatments. That experience felt very disappointing and unprofessional.

I have been a patient at Reflections Dermatology for many different services over the years,…read moreincluding Dysport, discoloration treatments, spot removal surgery, and laser treatments. I trusted this place and spent a significant amount of money there, which makes this experience even more disappointing. When I went in for my first laser hair removal appointment, I specifically asked about the price beforehand. I was told it was about $400 for the two areas I wanted treated, and when I asked how many sessions that covered, I was told up to 10 sessions. Even the receipt listed the price by "area," not per session, which made it sound like the price was for treating those areas rather than a single treatment. During the appointment, I even made a comment to the technician saying "That's really expensive if I have to pay that every time." She proceeded with the service without clarifying that the price was per session, which led me to believe the price was for the treatment of the area overall. When I came back for my second session, I was shocked to be charged the same $400 again. I spoke to the manager explaining that the pricing had been miscommunicated to me, but they refused to take any responsibility or offer any type of refund. Instead, the manager made me feel like I was lying and insisted their technicians are "very well trained" in explaining pricing. I asked many questions before starting because I wanted to be clear about the cost, and the information given to me was not clear at all. This was especially frustrating considering how much money I've already spent at this practice over the years. To make matters worse, years ago I had a spot removed on my leg there, and the surgery resulted in permanent bruising on my lower leg. I went through multiple treatments with them to try to fix the damage, and eventually they wanted to charge me $500 per laser session to correct the issue they created. After already spending so much money, I refused and am now left with a permanent mark on my leg. I originally went there to improve my skin and feel more confident, but instead my leg was left worse than before. Between the lack of transparency with pricing, extremely high costs, and poor accountability, I cannot recommend this place. Unless you are extremely wealthy and don't care about pricing transparency, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Once you arrive, you have to drive 4-5 flights up the garage just to park and then you have to take the elevators to the 5th floor. So keep that in mind. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. But I still don't like derm offices lol sorry. Just came to bring my son though. 3 stars for this location because the parking situation super sucks and the fact that the bathroom is out in the hall-key you have to get from front desk for the men's and it's a code for the women's. Sorry yes these little things irk me. My time is extremely pressed always so all these little things just make it difficult for me to do things quickly since it's already kinda far from me.

The front office clerk was one of the nicest humans I have ever met. About 7 minutes after my appointment I heard her asking if anyone from my doctor's team was available because I had been waiting. They did come about 5 minutes after so I appreciated her keeping on top of it!! My exam went smoothly and I felt comfortable the entire time. They have 2 people in the room to ensure exams are done correctly. Parking is free in the lot of the building - behind the building is pay so make sure you go in the garage. :)

Recently, after receiving a positive biopsy for basal cell skin cancer, I was seen at their Winter Park location, where I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Savage. Dr. Savage removed the skin cancer from my face, and I truly cannot say enough good things about him. He is incredibly skilled, professional, and has such a great personality that immediately puts you at ease--especially during something as stressful as a cancer diagnosis and procedure. The entire process was handled with care and precision, and I felt confident every step of the way. I'm very grateful for the treatment I received and the outcome. I would highly recommend Mid-Florida Dermatology, and especially Dr. Silva, to anyone in need of dermatologic care or skin cancer removal.

Filthy, Unsanitary Exam Rooms & They Don't Care…read more My partner and I have been going to this Winter Park location for decades, since when it was originally run by Dr. Francile MacFarland. Since her departure, we've been seeing Dr. Glen and her team and have been comfortable with all of them from a care-perspective. However, there's been a noticeable and dramatic change in the operations and, particularly, the condition of the facilities that has led us to look for another dermatologist. Having been to both the Winter Park and Altamonte locations last year, the furnishings and overall condition in the waiting areas is very old and deteriorating. In Altamonte, there are carpet & upholstery tears throughout, and the stairwell and office smell strongly of mold. But of primary concern is the cleanliness of the exam rooms! Attached are photos of the Winter Park exam rooms we've visited on 3 different occasions this year. The sinks are simply disgusting, and have been so for over a year (when a simple sponge and "Bar Keepers Friend" would clean them in 5-10 minutes.) Also attached is a photo of the pillow I was given to place my FACE on during a biopsy. Torn with hideous stain and no pillowcase. I referenced above in my post-appointment survey and have not received acknowledgement it was even received. I also called to speak with someone and was told there is no corporate office personnel and was given an email for the Office Manager "Jennifer" (with a gmail address no less). Sent her these comments and images in November, December and a 3rd time in February, all of which have gone unacknowledged. Finally, I just called the appointment line today asking for her boss's name and contact. I was told it was the Dr. who owns all 37 clinics, but has no telephone number or email address; so there's no way to reach him either. What kind of medical facility IS this?? And where is the Board of Health or whoever licenses and inspects medical facilities? I don't really want to change providers, but they've had multiple chances to clean things up and to respond to a customer's concerns. Neither of which has occurred. I just cannot trust and will no longer risk having surgical procedures done in such an unsanitary environment.

Well, they did not disappoint. Upon my arrival I was ignored by the front desk receptionist, except for a dirty look from the receptionist because the door slammed, which was an accident. When the receptionist finally decided to get out of her chair, and check the sign-in sheet, I had already sat down, and then she called me back up (I have 2 artificial hips, so getting around can be difficult) and asked for my cards. I told her I was waiting on my physical card, but I had a picture of it, if that was ok. She was hateful and told me no, I'd have to email it, WHICH WAS WHAT I WAS ASKING. From there she became very combative, and I advocated for myself, while trying to comply with her directions, despite being treated like a dog. Additionally, I had an appointment for 915am, and another patient, who had an appointment at 930am was taken back before, me as well as other patients that came in after me, whose appointments were scheduled later. I wouldn't be surprised if that was due to the receptionist. After making me get up and down several times for my cards, and paperwork, after I advised that I had artificial hips and I was having difficulty, another woman, who could barely speak English came out, and told me they would not be treating me, and didn't give me a reason why. After the way I was treated by the receptionist, I was already contemplating leaving because this was not the way to start new treatment with a new doctor. So, instead of arguing, I just left. They clearly cater to the elective patients in Winter Park, and don't really care about the medically needy patients, or the hypocritic oath that the providers take when they get their license. Judging by the prior review, I'm not the only one to have this kind of experience, and I'm sure the positive reviews are the staff trying to CYA. Again, This practice is in an upscale part of town, and clearly caters to its elective procedure patients, and treats its actual medical patients like garbage.
