Oh, I hate to leave a bad review, and I almost always leave great reviews. But I have to call it like I see it and warn others away. My sister and I chose this cafe because we each researched separately and were advised (she by some website and me by AI) that they served chipped beef on toast (SOS) - which they don't, and that they have great reviews - which they somehow do. I don't think the incorrect SOS availability is their fault but the rest of this review is. 1) About a 50 minute wait for breakfast orders that take minutes to cook; 2) A waitress who studiously ignored us (and we were not mean, obnoxious or demanding in any way but were finally told, once she couldn't avoid us anymore, that they were "short staffed"); 3) charred and at the same time, soggy toast (which to me means they burned the toast and then it sat); 4) a mimosa with no alcohol at all; 5) tiny portions in an area of the world where large diner breakfast portions are available everywhere! But I have to say - they served a perfectly poached egg - which is difficult, yes? But I need the perfectly toasted bread to go with that poached egg. Give this one a miss. read more

It is just minutes from Port Canaveral and I am surprised that I had not seen or visited this restaurant before. . We stopped in for breakfast and found the service, food, and price all excellent. The fried chicken was especially good--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served in portions big enough to share or save for later. I actually had it cold two days later and it was just as good as when it was served hot. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do; every dish feels home-cooked and made with care. There are great signs on the wall that will make you smile or laugh. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to smile, and I really appreciated that they offer a veteran's discount, which says a lot about their community values. The café itself has that welcoming, casual diner feel that makes you feel like a regular from the first visit, and the menu offers all the classics--biscuits and gravy, waffles, omelets, hash browns, and more. The only challenges are the location is right off busy Astronaut Boulevard and the parking seemed a bit limited and therefore challenging when we visited. Even with those, it's worth a visit for the quality and hospitality you'll find inside.
