Wow! What a great lunch we stumbled on to here. We saw the menu board outside which caught our interest. Walked up to the window to look at the menu. Lots of choices so we decided to try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First of all, the place is cool inside. Big dark wooden bar in the middle with an upstairs that has tables for sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] With lunch you can get $1 soft drink. We each ordered something different - chicken salad, tomato soup, BLT, Turkey Reuben, & blackened tilapia. All were very good. Our waiter & the food runner were very attentive with refilling our soft drinks. We will return next time to try the craft beers!!

Stopped in here for lunch on a Thursday before matinee show at Tennessee Theater. They were about 1/3 full and sat quickly. They had very reasonable lunch specials. The food was okay today. We got Santa Fe quiche and the Hot Club Sub. The quiche had good taste but was not as firm as I would expect a quiche to be. The Hot club was not very hot but had good taste. They had pickles on the side and the juice from them made the bottom bread a little soggy. Services was it was okay it just didn't wow us. There is a large wood bar in the center of the room downstairs. Yes, they have a second floor that is open to the downstairs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the interior could use some updating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do make their own beers but did not try today.

Downtown Grill and Brewery was conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel. My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner. I enjoyed a cheeseburger and onion rings along with Dave's Junebug cocktail. Service was great!

This was my first time going to Woodruffs in several years, and it somehow got better!! The food was wonderfully priced- I had the fish sandwich for $10 and split the pretzels and beer cheese bites for $6 during their happy hour. Our service was attentive and quick as well and we had no wait! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has an authentically vintage aura that represents downtown knoxville super well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can see the brewing infrastructure inside the restaurant which really adds to the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be coming back here!

Great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere for a sports bar environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reasonable prices. Food was very tasty and came out quick.

    (Medium well btw)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Disgusting bathroom. This is a health violation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Steak cooked terribly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]spiderwebs in the entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Supposed to be chicken fajita potato but had only chicken and cheese.

I ordered a chicken fajita potato with pico and sour cream on the side. Potato was large and cooked well, BUT it was missing the grilled peppers, onions, and mushrooms. There was barely a half cup of chicken cubes. The server didn't come back to our table until she brought the check. At that point, I didn't have time to ask for my meal to be fixed, had to get back on the road.

Prices can NOT be beat!! Local craft brews for $5 a pint? Seriously?? Oh, and I'm not 100%, but my crafts on Tuesdat were only $2.50! The food is good and inexpensive! I tried the Jerk Burger and it did not disappoint. Their Stout (think coffee) and their Porter (think chocolate) were very good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Building is over 100 years old! It even has a little history and a possible curse tied to this place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can't go wrong here. Oh, and the service was top-notch as well. Great value, great story, great place!

Fish & Chips , cole slaw , Cajun tartar sauce. Kinda sad fries.

First time here. Ordered the onion rings app because I spied someone on the outdoor patio with them as we walked in. For entree I got the fish & chips and muh lady got a baked potato and pulled pork sammie. For brew I chose the Alt German style malt beer ...I don't like hoppy beers and many of the other choices were just that or actually bragged about their "bitter" flavor . The Alt was very smooth and hit the spot. The onion rings were maybe the best I've ever had and I'm 66 ..sooooo? Give these a solid "10" ...great side BBQ sauce for dipping as well. The battered cod (3 pieces) was just as terrifically fried as the onion rings with a very crispy outside batter with moist inside ... and the filets were quite large . Strap on the feed bag. The Cajun tinged tartar sauce was a very good addition and not too spicy. Give the fish a "9". The "chips" ?...well ...they were just their basic America style seasoned french fries. This fish deserves an upgraded larger cut potato with no seasoning since you have the tartar sauce. The Brits are apparently big on par boiling the potatoes to loosen the starch, cooling, then deep frying to get a premium crispy final chip. I know that's a lot of work for a busy kitchen but maybe at least order some steak fries from CISCO to get this closer to the real thing. The chips get a "3" for total lack of imagination .We were too full for desert ...plus there's a Kilwins down the street.. hehe. I sampled the gf's pork and it was very well smoked and tasty . The baked potato was very large and perfectly baked.. Solid "8" for her meal. Our server was Ash and she was aces . Kudos to her for putting up with my Dad Jokes. Will definitely eat here again but will probably substitute the onion rings for the fries and go "Fish & Rings" UNLESS the manager reads this and comes to the rescue.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food and interesting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite popular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I typically order "Dan's Pasta" and have yet to be disappointed.

After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.

We dined on a Sunday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent and fast with many folks checking on us throughout our meal. The menu has sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fingers, ribs and more! It's definitely more focused on chicken. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, 3-piece chicken tenders and kids chicken and fries. Food arrived very quickly and was extremely hot and fresh! Chicken tenders were fresh and thin - a perfect combination. Fries and sweet potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The bacon-wrapped burnt-end brisket was tasty too, although a little dry. Maybe that's just part of being burnt ends. Honestly, I thought most of our food leaned a little dry for me -- except those chicken tenders. Maybe in Tennessee, the barbecue sauce is supposed to do more of the heavy lifting. I liked the sauce on the pork and the sunny side up egg brought a good amount of yolk into the dish. Everything mixed well with the sesame flavored cucumbers and jalapeños. I also had a bite of the smoked salmon from the power bowl and a bite of the chicken piccata. We did not have any drinks but the offerings cover the local, standard and top shelf tastes. The staff is even invited to events to learn about food and drink parings. Lunch was grab and eat. It was very quiet becasue we were well past the lunch rush and before the early dinners. I needed something more than a salad or bowl even though several were tempting. Not always a burger guy, but a bison burger will draw my attention. You don't see bison much in TN. Delicious. Juicy enough I needed an extra napkin. The second reason I chose the burger was for the carrot fries. I don't ever remember having them before or even seeing them. Their good, no reason they can't be a replacemnt to traditional fries and they don't "sag" as much as sweet potato fries. In my case, the kitchen put potato fries on the plate rather than carrot fries. Our server, Daniel noticed it and brought out a separate plate with proper side. Great service there. Another upgrade is that seasoning on the fries. There are several different ones and they differ byt the dish and fry. It was fun to compare the difference on the plate. So, cazzy's is not at diner but a fine gastropub.
