If you are looking for that authentic and traditional English fish and chips, this is the place! I used to live in the UK and this brought back great memories. They even have the HP sauce which I love. And if you're not a fish and chips fan, don't worry. They have a large menu and they are also delicious! My son ordered a burger on our 2nd visit and he inhaled in no time. He said it was excellent. He also loved the Reuben sandwich which he ordered on our first visit. Food is great. I was missing Camelot's in the Bay Area and this spot is honestly a bit better overall. Arrive hungry lol. Burgers are massive. My kid had one and we had to cut it in 4's. She loved it. We tried the pretzel and it was great. I had fish n chips and dad had the bangers n mash. All amazing. Desert was sooo delicious. Like I said bring your appetite. Derbyshire is across from Frisco City Hall where there isn't too much parking directly in front of the building so plan to walk a bit. We had the Fish and Chips (substituted with French Fries) and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly battered and fried and the French Fries were thinly sliced and crispy. It was dead during lunchtime on a Tuesday so they definitely need more people stopping by. It seems like a casual place for a meet up and can accommodate large groups if necessary. read more

The Derbyshire is located in a prime spot, but is underwhelming. The menu isn't very extensive and slightly overpriced for the given portion. For being 1 of 2 bars in the area it's okay. The few times I have been there, I personally don't believe you're getting a good value. read more

This is a bar that serves poor food. I have been in many pubs and this is not one. The music was deafening and the "songs" were profane. There was a television tuned to a channel from India that was not playing sports. The bartenders were not interested in anyone that was not ordering their overpriced alcohol. read more

Solid, solid, solid fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding! It's been a while since I had British style fish n chips and these definitely hit the spot. My wife and I split a full so we could get an appetizer and dessert. Next time I'm skipping the app and getting a full and a half because the dessert was good and deserves tummy space and the fish, more of it in my face. Far as the place goes it's cool. Very "pubby" in a modern kind of way with some poppy colors. Indoor and outdoor seating plus the bar. Staff was nice. No complaints. This bar advertises itself as a Chicago Bears bar. I was in town last weekend visiting family and decided to go to this bar to watch the Packers game with a group of six. We walked into the bar 90 minutes before kickoff and found a table in the middle of the bar that could accommodate our party and had good viewing of the screens. As we went to sit down, a man approached us and told us that the table we were sitting at was for some "regulars" and asked us to move. The table had no sign on it that it was reserved and this man did not identify himself as an owner or manager of the establishment. Choosing to take the high road, I moved our group to another table that could accommodate our party that was off to the side. Sure enough, the "regulars" came rolling in shortly before kickoff to their "unreserved" reserved table. This is just bad business. And discourages people who are not "regulars" from coming to the bar. I regularly attend a Chicago Bears bar in Los Angeles where I live and have never had such issues. There are no unspoken "reserved" tables for "regulars." It's completely first come, first serve as it should be. If you want your "regulars" to have their table waiting for them when they arrive, just stick a reserved sign on it. Or tell them to get there early. Not difficult. We also waited forever for our drinks while the "regulars" at their "unreserved" reserved table were kept fully stocked. The service and the food was mid anyway and not worth the price. Trust me, I picked up what you were laying down. We aren't regulars, so it's whatever. I won't be back. read more

Had a very nice lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Fish & chips, fish sandwich, burger - everyone enjoyed their food. BUT - not in the least bit kid-friendly. No high chair, no booster and no kids menu. That being said, they did their very best to accommodate us. Would definitely go back, but not with kids. read more

Friendly pub experience. Our waiter Jackson was so amazing; he single-handedly took care of all the tables (inside and outside). Although he handled it so well, I would say that he definitely needs help. On Sundays, they show NFL games on TVs. Most impressive is the food! Fish and chips were delicious and the best in DFW. The London Pride beer was great, very smooth. Toffee pudding is a must try if you have a sweet tooth. They even decorated for Halloween with a British flair. Will be back for sure! read more

Like the atmosphere in here for the most part. Sometimes the music is meh but overall good atmosphere. Wouldn't go as far as calling it "authentic" but a great little pub. Does carry Fuller's London Pride and some other such as strong bow, Guinness as well as local beers. Service is okay. Gets your order and moves on and that's probably the most authentic British part. Food is okay. I got the kind club today as a half portion and it was very large. However cold meat and hot breast make a soggy sandwich. Deli meat is generic pre packaged like you'd get from grocery store and not a fresh shaven. Lettuce and tomato on sandwiches very fresh. The chips were cold and a little stale. After 1 hour, someone from the kitchen came out and told us they were out of bangers & mash, which is just sausage and potato. Did they run out of potato at 5pm? How can that happen? Couldn't they go to the store and buy more? The "royal with cheese" was missing the sauce and was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. Our waiter never came back so we couldn't get the missing sauce. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, our second appetizer came out. We had already finished eating and thought they forgot it. I finally decided to try this brand new place that had just opened, a few months ago. The bartender was fantastic & the food was amazing. The bar was a little smaller than most, but the outside patio was very spacious and nice with tv & surround sound. I believe they have trivia nights on certain day from 7 PM to 9 PM. I've been to London many times, and all the pubs I've been to had this popular beer. Unfortunately this restaurant had no idea what it was, and didn't carry it. Beer selection was weak. - No mushy peas. Well sort of. The fish and chips came with a small green spiral of something that was supposed to be mushy peas. It looked more like a turd :) my dog left on the plate. Overall, glad I tried it. Will probably go back when I'm in the mood for similar food, but not a regular go to place. We stumbled on this restaurant in frisco square and it has the best atmosphere. It has a great bar with some booths too. Service was very attentive. We started with the hummus. It was served with tiny toasts but left us missing celery, carrots or pita. We probably would try another appetizer next time. We had the chicken sandwich and chips. The chips are fantastic. Stopped by this restaurant as it is very close to my office and I was craving some fish and chips. This place did not disappoint. Had a $10 lunch portion that was very generous. Fish was crispy and wonderful. Loved the chips as well. No I sweet tea though. So, that is a bit strange. I loved the decor and vibe of the place. What a great addition to the square!!!! We stopped by here last evening and left extremely satisfied with our meal and drinks. For our drinks, I got a nice fresh pint of London Pride (a classic British lager) and my partner got an excellent cocktail named tea time with contained an earl grey simple syrup and tasted fantastic!!! For our appetizers, we opted for the derby fries and the Scottish eggs, I was a fan of the derby fries (the chips were crispy yet no greasy and the sauce was yummy) Unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of the Scottish (note the play on words) as I usually prefer a nice outer coating above the sausage and also an egg yolk that isn't fully fully cooked. For entrees, we opted for the full fish and chips and the bangers and mash. Both very good but the bangers and mash were the winner! Finally we ended the meal with a sticky toffee pudding which was also pretty good. So why the 4*? We'll after we sat down and made our drink orders, we waited close to 20'mins to get our drinks and at one point noticed our drinks including my beer was just waiting on the bar aisle to be delivered to us in addition to 3 other orders, so I literally walked over and served our table. Heads up, this is not family-friendly but more of a fun-looking bar. Our waiter did not come to our table once after the food was ordered even though it wasn't busy, and didn't bring ranch as ordered. We ordered the pretzel bites, which were of the frozen kind, were not warm and cheese that comes with the pretzels is gross. Nothing else matters when the service is lacking. We have been here once before and had a good experience, and thought the food was good. (no highchairs for babies, but that's fine they have comfy couches and booths). We went again yesterday, and were immediately told by the bartender to sit anywhere we want. We sat down and waited 10-15 min but nobody acknowledged us. The waiter walked by numerous times with food for the only other table occupied (all other tables were empty, aside from the bar the place was not busy). We finally gave up and went elsewhere. If it takes 20 minutes to get a waiter to begin with I can't imagine how long it would have taken to get food or drinks. I hope they are able to fix the service issue. Food was good on our first visit, and I enjoy the ambiance, and it's so close to our house. However, we won't return for the time being. read more
