I've seen very mixed reviews of this place. But since we were without power and hungry, we decided to branch out and try somewhere new. I'm very glad that I did! We were greeted and seated right away. We weren't sure if there was going to be a wait since it was 6 PM on a Sunday. I got the salmon dinner. Initially, I was a little surprised by the price (over $30) since it was a sports type establishment. However, it came with two pieces of salmon and a good amount of sides. It was enough for two meals. Also got a kid pizza which I did not taste, but it looked good. Decent taper selection. The restaurant has an open feel with fun decorations and is clean. We'll definitely be back, hoping they stay soon with the good service and high-quality food. read more

The vibes inside were really cool and fun. I think they have an upstairs but not sure if it's additional seating or something completely different. We were only 2 people and the downstairs seating didn't look very busy where we were. I liked that there was variety on the menu and was excited to try the food. Our server took a while to get back to our table after bringing our drinks to take our order. The appetizers came out after some time and then the main dishes even longer after that. The mozzarella sticks were super tasty and came out perfect. The gabagool sandwich tasted good but got soggy and fell apart immediately to the point it was too messy to finish eating. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with pickles added but was surprised to see that they were sweet pickles when they placed a dill pickle on the plate with it. I asked for ranch to offset the odd taste but the server never brought it. We had to ask for napkins and refills and were lucky that our server even bothered to come by. It felt like forever. Once we had finished and boxed our food, our server disappeared and we were left stranded waiting to pay the bill. I had to ask another server passing through if she could get ours for us so we could leave. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and omg, packed! Thankfully we had a reservation, so we were seated right away. I expected a little delay on the food because of the crowd but not a 45-minute wait. Geez! Our server was nice, no complaints there. The vibe? Full-on sports bar. TVs everywhere. Definitely a solid spot to catch a game or pull up with a group. The menu is pretty large too, so you have options. Let's get into the food: I ordered the Dox Burger on a gluten-free bun and upgraded to fries instead of the house chips. It was actually really good and I was NOT expecting a double patty. That was a lot of burger, but I wasn't mad at it. We also tried the Burn the Boat burger. It was good, but it needed way more bad boy sauce. I could barely taste it. The shrimp fajitas came out sizzling (love that for presentation), but the veggies were a little too charred for my liking. And the salsa? Not it. Everything else was solid though. For drinks, we had Cabernet and Prosecco. Both were good just slightly overpriced, especially considering the limited selection. I would say this would classify almost like a high end sports bar, tons of televisions all throughout and if you look at the appetizer menu its like a higher end bar menu. But if you delve deeper into the menu, you see a wide variety from salads to sandwiches to wraps to wings to burgers to pizza to pasta. I mean it is a huge menu. Heck, they even have a Gabagool sandwich, how about that? Pretty awesome I thought. I went basic with the pizza and it was good, very well made. The venue itself is really lovely, huge space, vibrant color and neon against a black background. I've been curious and maybe a little hesitant to try here but I'm very happy we did. I think the menu is pretty standard as far as options and a little pricey but overall our food and experience was good. The wings were cooked perfectly. The steak and chicken and dumpling soup were the best things were the best items from what we tried. And their cheesecake is also excellent, I liked seeing they were getting it from the Cheesecake Shoppe. I would say things were a bit messy, there were quite a few water spots in a somewhat slick floor. Also by the foot of the table they sat us at was a ranch dressing cup on the floor. We got carry out and both ordered the same meal - crispy chicken sandwich. Question, where is the chicken?!? My Patty only took up half the bun so that I had half a sandwich and half a bun left. The taste was great, but just wish there was a chicken breast that filled me up and not the bun. We came here for Thanksgiving dinner to try out for the first time and it did not disappoint. We had reservations and when we got there we were seated right away. The staff was kind and attentive and answered all my questions about the food politely. It was a nice atmosphere that's literally lit with neon signs, a bar and plenty of sports on the tv's. The food was delicious. The party I came with loved each of their entrees. I would come back here again to try more things out. This place is nice and clean and has a newer feel to it as well. Made reservations specifically for dinner and entertainment (MG Dueling Pianos). We arrived and they tried to seat us downstairs, however, the entertainment was upstairs. The (assumed) manager seemed super friendly and accommodating. They corrected this issue and we waited about 10 minutes in order to be seated where we initially requested to be seated when reservations were made, more than one month prior. The six of us were seated just in time for the enterainment to begin so that we could enjoy a drink before ordering. When the music started...great! Fun music! ...but it was so loud that you could not even hear our friends from across the table AND we were in the far back of the room.. not even near the entertainment. We told the performers during intermission and he pretty much told us to screw ourselves (not the fault of the restaurant) and made no effort to make the sound and music more enjoyable, by turning down the speakers. They were understaffed, so no fault of the waitresses, who did a great job trying to accommodate everyone upstairs. We waited a decent amount of time to get drinks and dinner. The drinks were VERY overpriced. That was a turn off for everyone. Even the beer was crazy expensive. The cheese bread was great. The green beans were VERY greasy (which later upset my stomach) but they tasted very good. The rice and wings were good and the Cherry Apple Walnut Salad and dressing was very good. Fish and Chips good, Chicken fajita was super good. Potato skins were good (they forgot the chives) and Chicken Parm good and the portion was hearty. Not satisfied with the food. Regarding service, we had Megan and she was very sweet we enjoyed the service a ton! We were seated right away and attended to. The first thing we noticed when we received our plates were that they were dirty. Right away that was a disappointment for sure. I had to scrape the leftover food off with my nail which I shouldn't have to do. The food was mediocre. I didn't personally have the pizza, but my friends said it was average and not worth the price. The mac n cheese was nothing special personally. Additionally, I found an onion -or at least that's what I think it was- in my mac and cheese. I originally thought it was part of it but I only found one so that tells me something wasn't supposed to be there (whether they didn't put enough or one fell in by mistake). The first floor is handicap accessible and there are options for indoor or outdoor seating depending on the weather. In conclusion, for the price and quality of the food, I wouldn't recommend; however, they do have cute drinks and a bar so it's more of a drink place than anything else. read more

We had my work Christmas lunch here today and it was pretty good. I got the ribeye steak --the steak itself--was genuinely excellent. Cooked to a perfect medium, it had a beautiful crust on the outside, was juicy and tender throughout, and carried that rich, beefy flavor that makes a good ribeye so satisfying. The seasoning was spot-on, and it was clearly a high-quality cut. The sides were solid too: creamy mashed potatoes and crisp-tender green beans that complemented the steak nicely. Unfortunately, the presentation let the whole plate down in a big way. Everything was piled haphazardly onto one large dinner plate: the piping-hot steak and green beans were plopped directly on top of a cold cucumber-and-tomato salad dressed with vinegar. Not only did this make the plate look messy and thrown-together, but the heat from the steak and beans quickly warmed the fresh salad underneath, and the vinegar dressing ran everywhere. As a result, several bites of steak, potato, and green beans ended up tasting unexpectedly tangy--like someone had drizzled vinaigrette over them. I enjoy a bright vinegar note in a salad, but I don't want it sneaking into my steak or mashed potatoes. Cold dressed salads and hot mains simply don't belong on the same plate; the temperature contrast and migrating dressing turn two good components into an awkward combination. It's a shame because the individual elements were well-executed, and with just a small change--serving the cold salad in its own bowl on the side--this would have been an outstanding meal. Verdict: The ribeye itself is worth returning for, and the kitchen clearly knows how to cook. I'll definitely go back, but next time I'll politely ask them to keep the cold salad separate. A minor fix like that would easily bump this from "good but flawed" to "great." Recommended with that one request in mind. read more

This is a great place to go watch a game and there's ample outdoor seating for the summer. Ordered bear from a photo copied beer menu. I had to order 3 beers to figure out that it was the third one that they had. The waiter was pleasant and unfortunately did not appear to know what was, as they used to say in the day was "86ed" or not available on your server shift for people you were waiting on. We attempted to order an appetizer- the spicy cheese stick- also NOT AVAILABLE. And probably will never be again for those that are salivating on the internet looking at it. (As my BF was.) So- stellar part was the fried pickles. Ok, they did nail this and I do reccomend! Not even my favorite thing and very good Next part, actual meal. My soup, forgotten. Salad and taco burritos - no complaints and largely eaten. The babagool - great and innovative name- not a lot of diogiardano there... spare. And it was eaten. The fish and chips. Only order if you do not need malt vinegar. I felt a bit gaslit when I was told malt vinegar was NOT AVAILABLE. Forgive me, perhaps I have lived under a rock, however I've always had MALT VINEGAR available when I've eaten fish and chips at a restaurant. The coleslaw is also not good, tasteless. The fish was crunchy. That's all I can say. The "shoe string" French fries are not shoe string. They are regular fries . We just happened to be in the area and had been wanting to try this place out. Food was great, Ezra, our server was great. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because a couple of the dishes didn't look the cleanest to me . I spotted crumbs a couple times on the outside of a glass on one on a plate we were using to put the appetizers on. I went for lunch last Wednesday and had absolutely no problems. The service was fantastic. I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was so good. The sandwiches come with chips but you have to pay $2.00 extra for fries...which is ridiculous. But they're really good fries. I found it strange that the place has a huge screen with multiple screens to watch different things. On the largest screen...they were playing Bluey. Bluey?? I mean. I do love Bluey. Finally checked out the new place in town, and I liked it! The interior is spacious with a huge bar (with comfy bar stools!) and TVs everywhere to see a game. We sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table, and our servers were friendly and efficient. I do wish that the beer list wasn't so basic, but it's not horrible either. The food was excellent! Mei, just not good. While the location is great this restaurant is just not good. We came for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. I expected it to be busy it was not, perhaps that was a sign? Initially we had planned to sit outside. They dont have umbrellas at the tables so you bake in the sun. We decided to sit inside. Service was very very slow. After waiting forever, our server brought us the wrong drinks. She was training a new server so that's not a good look. Our food took a very long time to arrive despite it being empty and only ordering salads. Then my salad was missing the chicken so I had to wait another 15 minutes. The salads were not even good. Mine was drowning in dressing and just underwhelming. I hope they get their act together and improve because they have a great opportunity. read more

I had heard a lot of hype about this place and I honestly wasn't impressed. I will say the decor and set up is nice. Very modern, large bar area but could use more seating. I believe more is coming on the second floor so hopefully that helps. The food was sub par, very under seasoned, particularly the mozzarella sticks and fries. I got the salmon blt and while the salmon was good, the way the sandwich is set up is not great. It's too thick with 3 pieces of bread, so it was difficult and messy to eat bc the salmon and avocado kept sliding off, it would be better with less bread. There was a crab mayo that I couldn't taste. My husband got the chicken bacon racon quesadilla which he said was good, but the ranch was underwhelming. However we both agreed the bacon was great. It was Thick with a smoky flavor. we went for the lunch before there was a huge rush and service was just okay. Just felt like a miss, Maybe we'll try again but I wouldn't rush back. read more

Onion rings ( 4) chicken tenders 4+, potato skins(3). I like them a bit cheesier. My waitress, Venessa, was very friendly, attentive and quick. I asked for the MSU game and they put it on. So once again we can in to town to see family. We decided to go to Dox because they had dueling piano night. We had to be seated upstairs and to begin, the seating at athe booths were horrible. The cushions were uncomfortable and way to big for the seats they kept falling off and their was no room for the table to be moved. the service was absolutely terrible. We ordered cocktail drinks and twice they had to be sent back due to being untasteable so disappointing, Then we ordered our food and all 10 of us said it was not good at all. We were very disappointed all around and we will not be returning especially if we are seated upstairs. We hope you take this to heart and change your upstairs. read more
