Pretzel bites

Nice place to watch a game or hang out. The slider was good, also had the chicken slider both good. The pretzel bites were more like pretzel croutons and probably could have done without. The service was friendly and attentive.

After a day at the zoo, we stopped here hungry and thirsty. We were seated right away. After 15 minutes, and watching those who came in after us receive waters and service, we finally stopped someone and asked why weren't being served. She agreed to find someone, which took another few minutes. Our waitress came at the 20 minute mark, right when we were about to walk out and go to another restaurant. Once she was there, she was apologetic and nice, and told us know one told her we were there. Definitely an issue management/hosts need to improve. Food took quite a while to come out. Almost an hour after arrival and it was not busy. But I will say it was all amazing. This was a definite perk, after being there so long. The sliders are pretty big for sliders. I had one with bacon and egg, and they loaded it with bacon. The spicy one I had definitely had a lot of heat, but not so much it overpowered all the flavor. The battered pepper on top was a unique addition. The garlic Parmesan waffle fries came out hot and crispy and were delicious. With the sauce, they were some of the best fries I've had. The Brussel sprout appetizer was also great, though it was pretty cold when it arrived. Ambiance is sportsbarish. Each booth had a television in it. There's a room with games, but not all worked. Good beer selection and cocktail menu. They do charge more for using a credit card to pay. Overall, if this place could get organized I think it would be a great spot. Will give it some time and give it another chance.

Excellent place to catch a game on TV! I love that they have a TV built into the wall of every booth, but it does get loud in there. Service was great, and so was the food. Their cheese curds are soo good! I couldn't believe how enormous the calzones are - easily enough for two people. I don't understand the bad reviews, I've been here more than once and everything has been very good. I'll be back for sure.

Great spot for happy hour on a Sunday! Bennet our bartender was fast and friendly with drinks and treats (Parmesan waffle fries and coconut shrimp). But the the most impressive was the calzone we took home for later! Gigantic and delicious.

Went for Happy Hour, 3pm. Friends said it was good. However it's not for me. For following reasons. -they play the music super loud. Too loud for a place of that size. Made it difficult to have a conversation. I guess maybe late night that would be fine for the bar atmosphere but not in the afternoon -Beef sliders were very bland. You could tell the beef was good quality, but it's almost like they boiled the meat instead of really giving it a good char and having a nice pink center. -The ambience is OK I guess but the whole place is black, black walls, black chairs. just not for me I guess. -Ordered a slice of pizza off the happy hour menu. It was not good. on the other hand, the brussels sprouts appetizer off the happy hour menu was very good, but it didn't really make the experience more positive.

Ambiance has a great feel & it's a nice addition the the Village! Being decently priced & having such a large menu with awesome variety makes it our new go to! We would like to go back for happy hour to try more of the appetizers but everything we have tried slider wise was 10/10. The sliders are not small and they don't skimp on the toppings here. Overall super excited to continue coming here, especially to check out the cocktails! We ordered the 2 AM, PB jammin, sweet potatoe fries & garlic Parmesan fries and they were all very good!

good ambiance, delicious slider, exceptional service, a great place, I would return again

Nate and I stopped in on our most recent visit to Detroit and had a lovely experience. The space is tucked away but had a surprising amount of outdoor space--we were there in January but I'd love to come back in the summer. We were greeted right away and given a spot near the bar. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

There's artwork, a skatepark, renovated houses, gardens and a church that is now an art gallery. We stopped in to check it out and sat at the bar for a cocktail and snack. The waitstaff were super helpful in explaining everything and we finally picked 2 apps and got drinks. Both were amazing. There were friendly patrons all around and we chatted with other bar admirers. We checked out the coffee shop, Warda, but didn't purchase anything then, but have had several of their desserts since then and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful, indoor/outdoor bar, great outside seating - not sure how this will work in the winter? They also have very pretty stone paths with multicolor stones mixed in for a very peaceful beautiful look. It inspired me to add some multicolored stones to my garden! I can't wait to return.

We were celebrating a birthday, so we decided to pull out all the stops -- and I'm really glad we did. I'll say right up front that the prices are a little higher than what I would normally spend on a meal, but honestly, it was absolutely worth it. They started us off with garlic bread that was incredibly delicious, and from there the experience only got better. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He mentioned that they might have been a little short-handed and apologized that he felt he couldn't be as attentive as he normally would be, but honestly, we never would have known. He did an excellent job keeping our water glasses full and making sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. At our table, we ordered the Chicken al Pastaio, Spaghetti Carbonara, Gnocchi Romana, and I had the Chicken Parmigiano. Every dish was excellent. I sampled a few bites from the other plates and genuinely enjoyed all of them. The real highlight for me, though, was the Beggar's Purse appetizer. It was pasta filled with goat cheese and pear, and it was absolutely divine. I can completely understand why they also offer it as a main course because I could have happily eaten an entire plate of it. For dessert, we shared cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake was more traditional than what you'd typically get at places like The Cheesecake Factory, which caught me a little off guard at first, but it was still excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious, and we all got a good laugh when one of our guests accidentally inhaled a little cocoa powder off the top and started coughing and sneezing at the table. It honestly just added to the fun of the evening. At the end of the night, nothing we ordered disappointed, the service was wonderful, and it turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We'll definitely be back.

It's great for taking that special someone if you want to impress them. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. It's less great at 4 PM on Thursday for one reason: the price. Dinner for three with one drink each cost us $150 before tip. It's funny how my wife's mom kept wondering why there was nobody there. This is partly why, though it did just open for the day. Mixed drink prices are in the $15 range, which to be fair is comparable to most places these days. And, beer is reasonably priced at $7 a pint for a Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Be forewarned that Bronze Door is also in the echelon of We Season Our Food Perfectly So You Don't Need Salt and Pepper. You can get some if you need it, which we did, though the need was minimal. My Orecchiette with Pesto and Chorizo was just about perfect, except it needed a dusting of salt. The sausage and pasta were flawless, but the pesto was more subtle than I would have liked. Fortunately, if you order the phenomenal focaccia bread, you get a side of pesto, which I mixed into the dish. My wife's orange glazed salmon was flawless. The potatoes that accompanied them also needed salt. Definitely order the focaccia bread. It's freshly baked and robustly herby. It doesn't need the pesto sauce or the chunky tomato sauce, but they are nice accompaniments. For a nominal fee ($4), you can get a Caesar side salad with your meal. My wife asked for dressing on the side, but the waiter didn't hear her. I'm guessing everybody usually gets the same overly dressed plate of salad. This is such a shame, because all the ingredients are beautiful. This is clearly freshly made dressing over the fresh greens, with shaved Parmesan Reggiano and a little anchovy swimming on top of it. As I said at the beginning, this is a perfect place to take somebody on a special occasion. Everything about the place is old school fancy, from the decor to the cuisine to the service. I think we'll be back on our wedding anniversary.

Both had great flavor and cooked nicely. The black orchid cocktails were so lovely! We told the waiter to keep the tab open beacuse as soon we finished one, we were ready for another. For entrees I ordered the ribeye with truffle fries while my sister ordered the fish special. My sister said the asparagus had no seasoning but everything else was okay. My ribeye on the other hand was delicious! Cooked perfectly to the temperature I prefer and seasoned very well. The head chef even came by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. So much positive attention and great service all in one night. They know how to leave a lasting impression for sure.
