The woman at the counter was extremely helpful as a girl in our group had an allergy and she did her best to accommodate that, with a great attitude!!! We really wanted to enjoy our first experience here, but we just didn't get a good one. We originally wanted to have our lunch here, but we didn't have a ton of time and it was so incredibly crowded that we had to bail on that idea as soon as we could barely squeeze through the door. The slushy service was quick for it being so busy, we got our slushies pretty fast and headed to our next stop, but the slushes just weren't our favorites either. The Honey Lavender Lemonade flavor had no other flavor than just vodka. The Strawberry Amaretto Shortcake was ok, it was just so sugary that there wasn't much flavor other than overpowering sweetness. The price was definitely a little high too for what we got in the end for two medium-sized slushes. Doxie Slush is a fun and breezy addition to their historic downtown with a bright and vibrant interior and variety of frozen cocktail options. We've been to Doxie Slush a few times in the past few years, and it's never a regret. We didn't get food this past stop in, but I do remember and can recommend the Coconut Shrimp Tatchos (sweet potato tots). I haven't explored the rest of the food menu personally, but the descriptions sound delicous on first glance. At this time, there are 12 frozen cocktails in a variety of sweet, fruit, rich, and tart flavor profiles. My wife and I tried the flight, which included the Blueberry Cinnamon Margarita, Dappletini, and Strawberry Amaretto Shortcake. I love Doxie Slush! I've visited here a few times and always had a great experience. The staff is always kind, I wish I knew their names, but there's a guy with a top hat at the door and he rocks - and the tall gentleman behind the counter with the white hair, both amazing, every single time. We also ordered burgers to go, which were also really good. My only complaint is that the day we went, it was over 100° outside, and inside the restaurant, it was about the same temperature. Amazing food! Delicious drinks! Go here! This place is a gem. At first glance this place reminded me of New Orleans with swirling machines of alcoholic concoctions. But upon closer inspection, these are not the pre-packaged, disgustingly fake sugar-water drinks you'd get in the Big Easy. This place makes real slushies with real ingredients and the combinations are incredible! I had to come here twice because there were way too many flavors that I just had to try. The Doxie Mama was like a Bahama Mama. It was good but wished I had gotten a shot of Malibu Rum. I know Bahama Mama's traditionally don't have coconut rum in them, but they do when I make them at home. The Strawberry Amaretto Shortcake was delicious. I should have gotten a shot of amaretto in this! The Blue Hawaiian was delightful. I could drink this all day (unless I wanted to remember it)! My 2nd favorite was the Strawberry Hibiscus Frose. This stuff is the nectar of Goddesses! It's soooo good! And my very favorite was the Basil Key Lime Gimlet. I LOVED THIS ONE WITH THE PASSION OF A HUNDRED SUNS! If you like gin, and you like basil, don't pass up this experience. It's so unique and refreshing. I will be drooling with remembrance over this one for years to come. Now for the food! They have a magician back there in the kitchen because the eats here are pure magic. Everything was fresh and hot! The Kona BBQ Pork Grilled Cheese was great. I loved the perfectly toasted bread. The grilled onions were soft, flavorful and plentiful. The smoked tom soup packs a punch of heat that I enjoyed. The chowder poutine was unique. The fries were good. The seafood chowder was full of lobster and little scallops. The chowder was so hot, the cheese curds were melted so it was ooey gooey. The shining star of the meal was by far, those boneless wings! I can't tell you how tasty the Garlic Cotija Wings were! The breading was so light and perfectly fried. The sauce and toppings were epic. And to think, we almost didn't get these but there was a special so we splurged. DON'T PASS ON THE WINGS!!! This place is not at all what I was expecting. As someone who cannot do gluten anymore, I have to plan significantly ahead of going to almost any restaurant. We decided to head up 94 to see the changing fall leaves and would land in Hermann. We found a restaurant that actually had everything clearly labeled on their menu... and wouldn't you FREAKING BELIEVE IT...? Fish and chips. Gluten. Free. And boozie slush? Hell yeah. The interior is a mix of 2-4 top tables one larger 6 top table plus a mix of long couches and small end/coffee tables for socializing. There are about 4-5 seats at the bar. There are two unisex bathrooms. The interior design is really fun and clean and well-designed. Love the fun neon lights inside. I ordered, of course, the gluten-free fish and chips and a flight of their seasonal flavors. The bourbon (uuuh roasted chestnut?) flavor was my favorite with the Champagne toast coming in at a close second. Delicious - not cloyingly sweet. The fish was snapper and the french fries were just a nicely seasoned salt and pepper shoe string style fry. The fish was, no joke, one of those most delightfully cooked pieces of fish I have ever had and I literally almost never order anything fried because I am not big on breading... but since my GF diagnosis of celiac I have wanted to try new things and expand my options a bit when they are available. It was... incredible. Just so light and fluffy and perfectly cooked and the breading was super light and crisp. An ecstatic YES to visiting again. I love this concept and the ones that are similar in STL don't serve food which makes for an interesting afternoon of sweet slushies and no food to put on it. So glad we happened upon this place and VERY glad that their menu was clearly labeled for allergens that we ended up eating here! read more

It's a casual order at the counter and grab a seat kinda place. Which I'm super cool with. Me and the pups sat outside while my other half placed our so I order. The food: Manchego Beignet...these were like if a hush puppy vacationed in New Orleans and got knocked up by a Spanish Beignet. Holy cow (or sheep as the case may be) these were addictive. So good. They would be perfect t with their tomato soup (didn't have the soup but wanted to while shoving these babies in my mouth!) Cayenne Butter Cauliflower "Wings: Ok so they have an epic selection of wings. And pro-veg-tip all of them can be cauliflower. We did a classic cayenne butter with ranch. And we're sooo happy we did. They were so delicious. Frito Misto Po Boy, but instead of calamari it was hearts of palm-amari. Dayum Som how dare you serve such sexy food on the street! I wanted to make sweet sweet love to this sandwich (and was forced to share!). So good. I will say the fries were a side note.
