DP Electric is a top notch company and you will be happy you hired them! From the moment the owner, David, came to quote this job, I knew I was dealing with an expert and experienced pro. As we walked through the house, he educated me about two in-progress situations that didn't look right to him that I was working on with my building contractors. I was then able to ask the right questions and get those jobs done the right way by the other party. DP also coordinated seamlessly with my building contractors as needed. Meanwhile, Lil' Dave and Talant on the DP team did a great job adding electrical boxes and outlets and installing light and fan fixtures. They are professional in dress and manner. They text updates about their arrival. They arrive on time and work straight through the day with just a coffee and lunch break. They get a lot done in in a day! They drape the area they are working in and clean it up afterward. In my case, they were remarkably good natured about my dogs being present; even when one of the dogs kept trying to steal any parts within reach The DP Electric Team makes sure they understand your wishes and that you know how to operate the fixtures. For instance, Lil' Dave called me at work to hear what height I wanted the dining room light to hang over the table. Then, he left a note on the counter with instructions on how to use the remote controls for the new ceiling fan. Talk about efficient! A little back story: My Dad had a stroke and a bum knee and was not in good health anymore. He had an electrical issue that he tried to fix for weeks and it was really wearing on him. You can't stop a perfectionist from trying to fix something they have set their mind on fixing. The issue was located on the third and fourth floor which made it even worse. I saw him the day after Halloween and he looked very weak. I know that look. So I got on the phone and called a few different electricians. Dave answered the phone immediately and spent 20 minutes with me trying to troubleshoot what it could be. He didn't need to do that. He offered to show up the next day at 7:30 AM and I asked him to let me know when the charges hit $500 so that we could re-evaluate (my budget for this unexpected expense) $500 is about three hours of work. These guys showed up on time, polite, came in and went to WORK! No breaks. Hustling. "We need to get this done in under 3 hrs. Let's go!" Up and down 4 fights probably 30x. They finally found it, just under 3 hrs by going rogue and trying something unconventional. I'm so impressed. My Dad is so impressed. I called Dave because I was unable to get power to my pool pump and my pool had turned into a deep green pond...with wildlife and all. The pump had not been working for about 6 days prior and I needed help immediately. I found DP Electric online and called at lunchtime. I received an immediate call back from Dave himself. He spent about a 1/2 hour on the phone with me trying to walk thru a couple of troubleshooting items before he sent someone out to the house. We were unable to determine/fix the issue, so Dave sent a crew out almost immediately. I waited at home, they showed within 20 minutes, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in about an hour. They even informed me the original circuit breaker was not installed with the proper GFI capability, a code violation and safety hazard. They were able to get the proper breaker from the warehouse and come back and install it the same afternoon. Overall, Dave and his crew were outstanding to work with and I am excited to know I now have a reliable electrician going forward. I recently used DP Electric for some electrical work inside and outside my home in Blackstone, MA. I found them to be very professional and courteous. I am an electrician but arthritis in my knees prevents me from doing much of the actual physical work myself these days. The first thing they did after reviewing the work with me was to put down drop cloths inside to protect my newly finished hardwood floors and they moved the drop cloths to the different work areas as they moved around the house. I had them add two receptacles, relocate a heating thermostat, and fix several exterior GFI receptacles and flood lights that the siding company recently butchered when re-siding my house. They worked at a good pace but paid attention to details and advised me on what they were doing the entire time. They cleaned up all work areas. Dave and his crew at DP Electric Inc. did and OUTSTANDING job at our home. I am in the building trades myself and I have to say it was an absolute privilege to work with them! We had lost power to half of our home overnight, I contacted DP Electric and Dave was at our front door before I could bat an eye. He found that our breaker panel was severely corroded, causing power loss to half of the breakers and putting us at risk for a fire. We approved the work ASAP and he and his crew were back onsite the following day to move forward with the replacement. They showed up early in their company branded gear, ready for work. They had all the needed tooling and materials to tackle the project. They are a top notch outfit that represents professionalism at its finest! I highly recommend DP Electric. Dave responded quickly to my inquiry on Home Advisor He came out reviewed the work that needed to be completed and today he came out with Dave and Chad to go over what we had agreed on. They are very professional, personable and clearly explained what they would do and why. The job involved completing work that a previously hired worker had attempted but as it turned out was not qualified to do. I also asked them to check the safety of the work that had been done. Thank goodness I had them do this as they were able to correct errors that were made and reinstall switches, lights, ceiling fan and bathroom exhaust fan. They did an amazing job and I once again feel safe in my home knowing that the work has been done properly. DP electric is awesome. My husband and I had a circuit go out that he couldn't trace and fix on his own. After having no luck being able to get on a different electrician's schedule, we finally contacted DP electric and it was a great decision. Dave got us on the schedule right away. Update 2/5/20 Today Dave and one of his employees replaced all my old hardwired fire alarms with new ten year alarms. They were on time, did amazing work, and cleaned up afterwards. This is third time Dave's done work at my house, and I'll never hire another electrician. Last year Dave's employee, Dave, installed a dining room chandelier and updated a light switch with a dimmer and also an outlet. It was done amazingly well and with great professionalism. I recently worked with Dave and his employee, Dave (again), on a project in my living room to add wall sconces, a light switch, an outlet, and a wall mounted tv bracket. We've had a problem in the kitchen, for almost 10 years . We've been using an extension cord,because one plug stopped working. My husband tried to fix it, but.... I had 2 other electricians out, that friends had recommended, but they couldn't seem to fix it. We actually had one electrician tell us it was" too hard" to fix! Then we put in a granite backsplash. now my sink light flickered, and another plug stopped working. I saw DP Electric sign on the old church, so I decided to try. These guys are great! I called them up at around 3 in the afternoon to inquire about getting some light electrical work done (outlets near the ceiling for baby monitors, light fixture and a few dimmer switches) and the owner Dave was very professional and courteous. The next morning little Dave and his coworker came over and got everything done in a few hours and left the place exactly how they found it. Had a stovetop to install and hardwire. Had communication issues with another contractor and the business where purchased gave me the card for dp electric. Dave returned my call the same day and made an appointment for 2 days later. Dave and his associate showed up on time and were friendly and informative.
