The wood-paneled setting of the main room seems to encourage our event attendees (mostly workshops) to feel comfortable speaking or brainstorming. One of the reasons that our organization uses Edwards House whenever possible is because we do not have to use outside caterers, and the dinners we've had at Edwards House have easily stayed within budget and been much more satisfying and appreciated (by our attendees) than catered meals. The staff has been very easy to work with, and set-up and clean-up are always taken care of with no hassle.

Not the end of the world, but did break up the flow and connectivity, but wouldn't keep us from going back.

From the ease of the booking process to the day-of execution, the entire process was 10 stars. Hannah and her team went above and beyond (which I now understand is their standard MO.) They effortlessly managed all of our decor, seemlessly and joyfully wrangled 12+ children (and twice as many extremely excited adults.) The experience was educational and extremely interactive (We decorated mini horses! We held/pet so many incredible animals! The kids rode unicorns!) Even the coloring pages had our daughter's name printed on them. There was not one aspect of the day that felt like an after thought. The attention to detail and the care they show is so amazing. I really can't thank Hannah and her crew enough for hosting (far and away) the best birthday party my daughter has ever had. Core memories were made by all of us.

If you're into questing and escape rooms, this is for you. High tech single room challenges from physical to mental challenges, you and your teammates try to accomplish 1 to 3 star challenges without failing. If you fail, you exit the room and can try again. Each room does not take longer than average 4-5 minutes. They're always adding new rooms maybe around a half year basis, but it's always fun as a team or group event.

It's a mid sized barn enough to accommodate up to 150 people. It also has a mezzanine where I placed one of my cameras.If you want some country look wedding, Holliston Historical can be a good choice. In the weddings I covered here, the ceremony was done outside but within the property itself. They putted folding chairs and an arch where the ceremony was held. As it was outside, I placed a wireless mic on the justice of the peace. That took care of the audio and we had a very clear audio. The reception was held in a big white tent beside the barn, As you can see in one of my pictures, they had the tables and chairs there for dining. The speeches were also held there. After dinner, the guests were ushered to the barn where the first dance was held, parents dances, cake cutting, and dancing for the celebration. I give Holliston Historical a 4 star. My room was clearly in need of renovation. Old/faded/dated/chipped everything. Awkward space (the bathroom door is hard to navigate around as its arc consumes most of the tiny bathroom). It did smell clean/seem mostly clean (although I didn't white glove test anything) but my shower curtain was clearly soiled with squirts of what I hope was body wash or conditioner from the last guest. The hot/cold water in the bath/shower was backwards (had to push it to cold to get warm water) and leaked out of the handle while it was on. The heater made a loud rattling noise when it was on - but it was too cold to sleep with if off. This coupled with a loud gurgling noise consistently coming from the refrigerator (which is located right next to the head of the bed - really??) - it was very difficult to sleep which definitely impacted my performance at my meetings the next day. The fitness area/gym was terrible with broken equipment and a moldy smell. I also struggled to find something healthy to eat for breakfast. Fortunately the server in the restaurant recognized my struggle and asked the chef to prepare an egg white omelette for me as part of the breakfast buffet. It wasn't the best, but another case of the awesome staff saving what would have otherwise been a bad experience. I do understand that the hotel is undergoing renovations- and I did get a tip (too late for this visit) to ask for a renovated room next time. So I wouldn't write this off as a viable option in the future, but based on this visit (11/2024), there is a lot to be desired.

During the week there was a spider and fire ants that were on my bed. I was able to switch rooms immediately. My shade was also broken leaving it down and dark. The sheets and pillows were paper-like and not comfortable like other Marriott owned hotels are. Very out of date. Rust and stains in the bathroom. The hotel restaurant wasn't the best I've been to either. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
