Years ago, two and a half decades that is, I used to go to the driving range here. I believe the facility was under a different name back then, maybe? They had carts, and hills, and traps you could work from, and putting greens. They also had this wonderful driving range, grass or turf, that had pins out yonder, so you could actually shoot for goal. Made the experience very good and rewarding. Nice shop, and while I wanted a set of Ben Hogan irons, I settled on a set of Toski irons... they were fitted, and that process too about two hours. This is where I first learned to golf and I have so many good memories of this place. I came back after 25+ years and it's still as nice, clean, and friendly as I remembered it. The driving range is much nicer than most that are around, and has a series of greens and sand traps to make it as realistic as possible, which is really cool. read more

The facility is nice. No denying that. The prices are ridiculous. A small bucket cost $12, and then they up charge you $8 to use the putting green. Maybe I'm jaded though. We spend time on the mid-cape, and I go to a place daily and pay $5 for a small bucket, and no charge for Putting and Chipping. For these prices why not just play 9 holes somewhere? Kohr is a top-notch training facility, the range layout with greens and bunkers allows for the most realistic environment for practice. When they say practice smart or practice with a purpose, it's not always that easy. The facility at Kohr is so well thought out, it's almost impossible not to improve how you practice. You cannot practice here consistently and not improve your game. I have been taking lessons with Chris Hawley for the past 6 months and have seen my handicap drop from a 6 to a 4. As someone who has taken lessons their entire life, I can say without a doubt, that Chris not only understands the game, the swing, and the Trackman technology, but how to convey feelings, swing thoughts, practice techniques, and Trackman data to me. I've learned more about my swing, where it was, and where it's going than I had in my previous 15 years of playing/taking lessons. My end goal is to be able to confidently practice on my own and interpret the data/ball flight without needing to have Chris with me at all times. I don't want to feel lost on the range. Chris is helping me be a better player, without making me feel like he's holding the keys to my success and withholding information. With him, it's always "try this, because..." or "don't do this, because...", instead of what I was used to "do this" or "don't do that." read more

Hit a bucket of balls yesterday and enjoyed the experience. These guys have 60+ bays and a good customer experience. The facilities are clean and modern. The grounds look great and includes plenty of short game area as well. I spoke with the staff and they said they are putting in heated bays this year. No idea about the parking lot problems mentioned in other reviews..? I'm going to write that off as old man shaking fist at clouds. The pricing mentioned in other review is also way off, just go to website. Head pro is $250 for 60 but they also have two other experienced coaches for $110. I bought a prepaid card that is 10 buckets for $10 each. Might go back again today. read more

This is the nicest driving range I have ever visited. I'm sure there are better out there, but for local and convenient this one's great. There are options for short and long game practice. Unfortunately the putting and chipping greens are for the members only. Otherwise you can pay for buckets of balls. The facility is well-kept and clean. My only complaint is the parking situation. - tight and limited. Despite that I still will give them five stars. read more

It's $3,500 for a charter membership and $500 for a one hour lesson with the head pro. (compare to $90/hour at Stow Acres) $12 (for what is a small bucket at most places) The facility is first-rate and I'll go back to hit balls from time to time because it's convenient. It was ok. Solid B rating Non-members hitting off mats and the Non-member chipping and putting range area were one in the same. You could only chip from 3-10 yards onto the green and had to make sure that you did not hitting anyone practicing putting. It was good to work on the Par 3 type chips but far from what I was expecting. I was expecting sand traps. Kohr Golf advertises grass hitting stations and course level sand traps but those options were exclusive to the membership which if I read it correctly was pretty expensive at $225 per month. One day passes for bunker play is not offered. From what I observed on a Sunday afternoon were that most people went there and just hit drivers out of the bays. There were 5-6 people practicing putting which limited the space for those of us looking to work on chipping. Silver lining: Because the chipping and putting were co-mingled I was able to chip for 2 hours for $20. I would chip onto the green and then go pick up my balls and start again all while trying to avoid those practicing putting. Bucket of balls is $12 and access to the chipping are is an additional $8 dollars. The place was clean. No trash anywhere and the bathrooms were spotless. My overall review was a solid B. Would I go again? Yes, sure I would. Would I go there more often if Kohr golf offered a short game membership that included bunker play? absolutely. Would I pay for a membership at $225/month? not too sure it is for me. read more

Kohr is a very nice facility. The driving range and putting greens are well maintained with a nice layout. The mats and tees are in good condition as well. As someone else commented it would be helpful too have the yardage's marked on the range or possibly a number on the flag that coincides with the paper chart. I usually don't have problems parking, but on a crowded day the lot by the range is full. There is parking in the lower lot if you don't mind a short walk up a small hill. The reason I gave a three star instead of five is due to my experience trying to get fitted for a couple of clubs. I was told that it would be too expensive for me and I should go to Dicks Sporting Goods. First, I was never asked what my price range was and second, Dicks' has a terrible in store selection of women's woods and hybrids if you are not buying a set. I don't know if it was because of the way I was dressed that day or that I am a woman, but I was really offended. I ended up at Golftech. read more

I'm 54, "was" a good athlete, have been playing golf for 30 years, an 18 handicap and have been as low as a 13 prior to marriage and kids. My game has really not improved in 20 years. I decided to try to do something about it. While Like many long time golfers I had a few drivers, but I knew none of them was just right. I had not made a major golf club purchase in a while. I tried my friends new Ping driver and I was shocked how easy it was to hit and the added distance. I went out and bought the exact driver. As I was about to unwrap it and hit I thought is this really the best driver for me? That is when I booked a driver club fitting/lesson at Kohr Golf. My session was with Glenn. He had me hit my current drivers while the computer system tracked my distance, flight, club speed etc. he asked me a number of questions about what was going on with my drives on the course and what my goals are. Long story short he took all of the data and with the equipment in the facility built me just the right driver. He also instructed me on a few key elements to improve my distance and consistency. I ended up with the Calloway Rogue driver Head with adjustable head and just the right shaft stiffness and customized grip. That was 3 weeks ago. I have taken 5 strokes off my game and am finding more fairways. Glenn is now helping me with my short game and I'm close to taking a few more strokes off my game with his help. I've only written a couple of reviews and felt like my experience and results from employing the services of Glenn at Kohr Golf , Natick was worth the time to review. Phil G. read more

The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because it's the only place to hit balls around natick. If you went to the old range, not much has changed. The grass is a little greener and the balls are new. Other than giving the place a face lift they didn't do much to improve your experience. First off the parking lot sucks (just go and see). $12 for 60 balls is expensive. If you want to hit real golf shots off grass don't go here mats only. They have the "nice mats" though. The left approach shot side Is completely angled right making alignment difficult. This is because they didn't pay for nets so they make you hit it right. Then the right side you are not allowed to hit woods (again because they didn't pay for nets). Don't even bother looking at the prices for lessons. And if you are even considering getting a membership just join a golf club many local places offer great deals especially fo juniors. They will most likely have a range included. If you plan on hitting a few balls every few weeks it's probably fine... last thing, when you ask how many buckets you have bought to receive your "10th one free"....good luck receiving that. read more
