I had spent the past two years being treated by various chiropractors, personal trainers and massage therapists with temporary relief, but without true improvement. After seeing a review by another patient in the dental field I was compelled to schedule an appointment with Somavida. At that time, I couldn't sit for more than 20 min without being in severe pain and I couldn't sleep for more than an hour or two without waking up in severe pain. Not only was I unable to work, but I could not even drive in to work without stopping due to pain. Although we were close to 1/2 hour early, we were taken back within 10 minutes - something that surprised me. My experience in the past at other doctor's offices is, if they take you to a room early, you wait in the room for a long time. Not so here, we waited about five minutes before the doctor came in. The experience with the Nephrologist was great. It was just an office visit - a follow up appointment. The doctor was very kind, inquisitive, and seemed to know her stuff. (That is a really good quality for a doctor. :) ) When we left, you pay in the elevator lobby for parking. They don't validate so I expected we would pay a pretty penny for the time we were there. Much to our surprise, when we put the ticket in the machine, it said there was no balance due. Wow. While doctor's visits are never a walk in the park, the experience here was actually very good.

I am a veteran, and I could have had the surgery done for free at the VA. But the VA eye surgeons were all young with a limited number of eye surgeries (20 to 100). There was one issue with the surgery was that my eyes do not dilate enough. I lesser experienced surgeon might have proceeded and caused some eye damage. But Stuart knew what to do. He used what is called the Malyugin Ring. It holds the pupil open wide enough to make the surgery safer and easier. The best thing of all is that I can see clearly again. It was remarkable to read road signs from a long distance or watch TV and see clear crisp images and recessed lights that were yellow turned white and much much more. Thank you Stuart! I will be forever grateful.

Dr Fenner botched the first surgery and when I was bleeding profusely the Saturday after he was not in his office and Evanston Hospital was not able to reach him. Went in on Monday and he had to pump blood out of both breasts for almost an hour. I was in pain and pissed his care standard was so terrible. My breasts ended up uneven and nipples were too. We agreed to a revision. I blame myself for thinking this guy could correct them. They were much worse! I am maimed for life. He left sutures in for months. All these years later I can not look at myself in a mirror without a bra on. I have not even shown my sister how terrible they are. I am 67 now and am finally going to seek revision. I have had consultation with 4 other plastic surgeons over the years since, who shake their heads, as in "who did this to you?" They know Geoff Fenner and are shocked at my result. But not too shocked as they have seen his bad work over years. I should sue him years later. I can't believe Northwestern keeps him on. His colleagues suggest he takes on too much and is careless. Plus his staff was horrible. I have heard from several women considering him and talked them out. He should be disbarred! I am still considering a law suit that can minimally cover my last revision.
