    Canyon Pet Hospital

Canyon Pet Hospital was there for us during one of the hardest moments of our lives -- when our…read morebeloved dog, Scout, needed help crossing the rainbow bridge. We were out of town on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, desperately calling multiple vet offices, but no one had same‑day availability before closing. When we found Canyon Pet Hospital, we hesitated because of the poor reviews, but they were the only nearby clinic able to help. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the large, clean, calming lobby. The staff at check‑in listened closely to our situation and immediately offered a stretcher to help bring Scout inside. The vet technicians gently took her to a room, gathered her history, and reviewed her long list of medications with care. The veterinarian, who had never met Scout before, took the time to understand her condition and her story. She was honest and compassionate in explaining that Scout's mobility was unlikely to improve and that continuing care would be extremely difficult for her. It was an impossible decision, but we knew it was time to let her go peacefully. The team treated Scout -- and us -- with dignity and kindness. They offered several options, moved us to a comfort room, and encouraged us to take all the time we needed. They provided treats for Scout, privacy for our family, and a peaceful environment where we could lay with her until the very end. We are writing this review so others in a similar situation can feel confident choosing Canyon Pet Hospital. Their compassion made an unbearable moment just a little more bearable, and we are deeply grateful.

They didn't let me go in to be with her so I would be the last person she saw before she passed instead she saw strangers how heartless can they be!!

Highland Housecalls - My dog, Tali, after a quick 1 hour teeth cleaning!

    Highland Housecalls

Their prices are affordable (even though I understand why…read moreother vets have to keep their prices high, this is probably your most affordable option in flagstaff!) . They have been treating my family's animals for a long time now, but today they cleaned my dogs teeth for the first time. My little dog, Tali, has trauma from the last time she was at the vet (no fault of the other vets, but she was super sick, and so now she gets very anxious anytime we walk into a clinic). Highland house calls was patient with her, and I really felt they treated her as one of their own. But what truly made Highland Housecalls stand out for me was their nonjudgmental attitude. Sometimes, when you go into a walk-in veterinarians office, you can leave feeling very guilty- asking yourself "Why didn't I get her teeth cleaned sooner?" Or "How could I have missed that mole?" and even "Do they think I'm a bad pet parent? Am I a bad pet parent?". But Highland Housecalls had me asking none of those questions. They understood that we were doing our best juggling life and taking care of our pets, and that is important to me. I think if more veterinarians were as kind and nonjudgmental as Highland Housecalls, more people would feel comfortable taking their animals to the vet more often. 10/10 for everything they do!!!

I have yet to meet one of his clients is disappointed in his service he's always on time if not early kind courteous professional And is just awesome all around. People really appreciate when a veterinarian can come to their home when their pet has to be put to sleep it's comforting and calm and peaceful. Just two weeks ago my cat was ill and lethargic and I didn't know why he showed up to my place took care of my cat and she actually had an abscess on her leg that I didn't even see with two days of medication she was back to normal I'm so appreciative.

One is too many stars. We took our dog for stitches…read more We got a proposal for $3600. WHAT??? He needs bloodwork, X-rays, pathology, general anesthesia, radiology, it could have penetrated the chest wall, 4 hour hospital stay and too many other things to mention. We had to pay $219 after they did nothing except look at our dog. All that took an hour and half. This after driving over an hour. Once they gave our dog back to us, we drove 2 hours to Yavapai Animal Emergency in Prescott Valley. They examined him in about 10 minutes. Thoroughly explained what they would do. Give him a shot, clean and staple up cut and send him home. They were done 20 minutes later and we were on our way home. The cost was $680. When I told this awful place in Flagstaff that they should be ashamed of themselves, they told me "we offer the gold standard of care". What a joke. I WAS ALMOST PHYSICALLY ILL. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED FURRY FRIEND TO THIS PLACE. Two hours of driving to and from this place. $219 for absolutely NOTHING. Just for them to give us our dog back. They should return our money. And by the way, the Dr that came into the room for 1-2 minutes reeked of perfume so bad. If he had been in the room any longer, I would have had to get out my inhaler to breathe. Yuck.
