He's thorough, professional, and truly cares about his patients' health. I was really pleased with how easy it was to set up an appointment on the app. I uploaded my insurance information on the app and presented it again to the receptionist when I arrived for my appointment. I saw the doctor and was pleased with my care. However, I needed a prior authorization for a prescription and everything went downhill. Long story short, I contacted One Medical three times by app (as instructed) to request the PA. The app has read receipts, so the staff saw my request. I never received a response. A week before I was going to be out of my medication, I was finally able to get in contact with a customer service rep at their corporate office. She was very apologetic about the issue and had the office manager reach out to me. The office manager told me they didn't take my insurance and that they would not do the PA. I felt like the office manager was blaming me for the issue. However, my insurance company assigned One Medical to me, said One Medical was a participating office when I called, and had them listed online as in network, so I didn't appreciate the insinuation that I did not do my due diligence. One Medical had multiple opportunities to let me know that they did not accept my insurance, but chose to ghost me until I reached out to corporate. I was left without care and with an empty prescription. It was difficult to find a new provider on such short notice, so I had to go without my medication. Had One Medical paid attention when I booked my appointment, showed my insurance card to the receptionist, or during the 3 times I reached out about my PA, I could have started the search earlier and found a new doctor. One Medical is careless at best and negligent at worst. With so many other options in Chicago, I could not recommend One Medical in good faith.

I misjudged the weight of a crate and ouch, that hurt. I assumed it was a simple muscle strain, but I'm no physician. Dr. Weiler, however, recognized my symptoms as consistent with a more serious injury and, thanks to her and her very professional staff, I had an X-ray, an MRI and saw a specialist, all within four days of my initial visit with her. There's no way I could've achieved all these appointments on my own. It's only because of Dr. Weiler and her staff that I got in to see a specialist that very same week. UPDATE: Within 10 days of that first appointment with Dr. Weiler, I learned I'd suffered a 95-percent separation of my bicep, and had the surgery necessary to correct it. Yes. All within 10 days. If not for Dr. Weiler, the injury I mistook for a simple strain could've very easily become so severe that even surgery wouldn't have been an option. Besides that, the specialist to whom she referred me was among the best of the best. Another win for Dr. Weiler. She's got a lot of those.

The office is in an older building and is located on the second floor. The ladies at check-in were nice and helpful - I got there around 15 minutes early to fill out my paperwork. Not even 5 minutes later they called me back to a room. The nurse came promptly to do the standard checks - weight, height, etcetera. She was very personable and I enjoyed our conversation. Once she left the doctor came a few minutes later. We realized that I needed a tetanus shot in addition to the physical and I opted just to do it that day. Even the lady doing my shot was quick - it happened in under 10 minutes. I was so surprised - talk about the fastest doctors appointment ever! They also helped me sign up for MyChart so I could see my results from my biometric screening digitally. No complaints from my visit here! I'm glad that finding a new physician that I like was so easy :)
