After many years in the service industry, my back tends to act up at times. Usually, rest and Advil does the trick but this time, to no avail. After weeks of struggling with phantom back pain that radiated all throughout my back, I finally decided to go to a chiropractor. I have been to several chiropractors in my lifetime but Dr. Kim is special and my favorite. She does acupuncture in conjunction with chiropractic medicine, which I have not seen elsewhere. To someone who believes in both eastern and western medicine, this conjunction method intrigued me right away. It was like getting two treatments in one, AND by someone who studied both sciences. I enjoyed how detailed and professional Dr. Kim was from the start-- she asked about my lifestyle, my diet, my stress level, amongst other health related questions. I appreciated being asked these comprehensive questions because it helped me self-realize on the topics asked and also dive into the root of my back pains; it also helped Dr. Kim conduct an accurate diagnosis and coordinate a plan to treat my back. After a short back and forth chat, she proceeded on using electromagnet therapy on my back and then acupuncture. I expressed my concerns at that time, but they seemed brushed off. When I scheduled my most recent appointment about three weeks ago, I was very clear with Savannah on the phone that I only wanted Dysport, as it has consistently worked best for me. She said she would note this in my chart. On the day of the appointment, Savannah took my before photos, and I again asked her to confirm that I was receiving Dysport. She told me yes and said she would confirm with Lori. Lori then came in and performed the treatment. I left believing I had received Dysport. Three weeks later, after being unhappy with the results once again, I called the office to ask exactly what product had been used. That's when I was told it was Letybo, not Dysport. I am extremely disappointed. I was clear about my concerns, clear about my request, and clear about what I consented to. Yet I was given a product I explicitly asked not to receive. Even more troubling, it was presented in a way that led me to believe I was getting Dysport, which felt misleading and dismissive of my concerns.
