I had to pay $25 to ask medical questions. Her answers were always to suggest something I was already taking or something I had already told her I couldn't take as if my chart wasn't even checked. I did not find her care 'integrative'. There was no talk of mind, spirit, or nervous system regulation. No checking with symptoms. Everything was based on $$$$ in labs which were treated with $$$$ in supplements. Her focus was pushing energy when what my system needed was gentle support and nurture.

Knowing the complexity of my many chronic health conditions and my long medication list, it would be important to me and the staff if I bring my detailed medication list, so I emphasized, many times to make sure my property arrives to my room with me, yet, it was lost for 24 hours hours. During that time, after a complex spinal surgery, I wasn't given my correct medications, or the correct doses at the correct times, which happens frequently when I'm hospitalized, not only at Rex. Once it was found, after I complained to Patients Relations, the head of security came, but for reasons I still don't know. He did a good job explaining how the security process was supposed to work, but he didn't explain how my property got missing. especially, after me emphasizing it's importance to my hospital stay. It was as if he couldn't realize the procedure wasn't relevant. What's relevant is what actually happened and why. His explanation was the most incompetent, unprofessional, and unethical explanation imaginable. His staff members were sleep so he, evidently, didn't think that losing my property was worth waking up his staff members, who knew the details of what happened. I have multiple co-morbid chronic illnesses that leave me battling chronic fatigue, pain, migraines, depression, anxiety, etc. I have seen a consistent reduction in my generalize pain, an improvement in my mood, and she's taught me skills to help me cope with my anxiety attacks. She has even helped me with my allergies. Most dramatically, though: I've been using a cane pretty consistently for years because of pain and poor balance. I had Alfa Gal from a tick bite and a secondary problem that my husband and I had found was seemed to be from sulfites found in many foods with preservatives. My son called me and suggested I try and alternative to get help with the Alfa Gal.
