Bryan and his team cut down a hug bougainvillea and gave my Bottle Brush tree a trimming. I was happy with the work. But in the price I paid included stump removal of the bougainvillea. He couldn't do it until our driveway was demolished, which we had plans to do anyway. He said "I give you my word" that he would come back to grind the stump. I don't know who Dr Rogers is, but I can tell you that Brayan and his crew are spectacular. It started with the estimate. Because of a mixup, another rep showed up at the same time and, frankly, tried to horn in on Brayan's bid. Brayan excused himself very professionally and came back the next day to give us his quote. His bid was competitive. Maybe not the lowest, but dang close. Throughout the process, communication was good. On the day of the trimming, his crew was there on time, tackled the job and actually got it done a little early. That was the ONLY hiccup. Since they were done a little early, my wife had to get home earlier than expected to pay them. They even surprised us by trimming a very small tree to match the other trees (they got our OK first) and cleaning our rain gutters when they were done, since some of the clippings had fallen into the gutters. They did exactly what we asked: a fairly radical cutting, so our new solar panels wouldn't be shaded. The different is stark, but it's what we wanted. They removed two trees (one of them HUGE) and there's no sign of either of the stumps. Speaking of "no sign", I couldn't believe how tidy everything looked on-site when I got home despite a crew of 5 working in our yard for several hours. I wondered if they vaccuumed! My first experience was great. It was a 5 star service initially. He gave me a quote over Yelp and stopped by shortly after to take a look and give me the quote in writing. The work was done fast, he was communicative and the team left my yard cleaner than before. Unfortunately, I contacted him again for another quote/job and I didn't receive a response for days. When I finally got one, it was an apology for not responding BUT then stopped responding again. I sent one more message saying I was going with another company since he is too busy for me and still NO reply. It's VERY disappointing since I was do happy with my first service and then had to look for another company, which was a nightmare, but that's on another one of my recent reviews. 3-stars to meet in the middle from my 5-star experience and 1-stat experience. We are first time homeowners and have no idea what we are doing as far as our plant maintenance and landscaping. I had a hazy idea of buying a chainsaw and having a go at the shrubs myself (they were getting close to the power lines and our backyard looked like a jungle) but my partner strongly hinted that he would prefer me not to be wielding a chainsaw on a ladder by saying "no, you are not buying a chainsaw and getting on a ladder." We also needed to remove some giant shrubs to make room for a massive electrical panel. They took out a lot of random plants for us and literally touched every tree and shrub on our property. Any plant that was removed had the stump ground down to make sure we had a nice smooth surface. I give one star because I can't give them minus 5 stars. They are that bad and sly. Bryan and his team came to prune my trees. I asked them to be sure to trim inside branches to allow air flow freely, after all, that is the main reason we hire a service to trim our trees. The worker that "did the job" on my ficus tree hacked the tree, left the middle of the tree as full of branches as was initially and only trimmed the top and the surroundings. I had asked Bryan to come an re-do his job, and he has been putting off the job as much as he could. He had agreed to come to check the tree 3 times, and in all the times he asked me to call him back to remind him, which I tried because he never answered, and, of course, the never came to do the job. After this 3ed time, I realized that he was doing this to discourage me and to get away not re-doing his the job. He and his entire team are very dishonest, unprofessional, and incompetent set of people that should be responsible for their work and instead of giving you a straight answer, he prefers to give the costumer a false illusion that he will take care of the problem. Also, during the pruning of my trees, I told them to leave all the wood. They took the biggest pieces and left me the small ones. I didn't notice until they were gone, and I started to relocate the pile of wood they left. You can see the pictures on how the tree in question looks after only 5 months of being trimmed. Be ware of this "Mr. Rogers tree service". They seem nice but when it comes to stand by their work, they discourage you by never telling "no" but by making you wait for ever.
