Which seems to happen quite often, from what my friends and I were told. One of our party found a tick on his shoulder and this place did a good job of removing it & supplying him with proper meds. Bring your insurance card if you can. They'll ask for it upon arrival. No one acts in "urgency" and the place actually seemed more like a walk in clinic than urgent care, but nonetheless, the doctor who helped us appeared to know her stuff, so no need to drive all the way to Southampton.

They did not have any appointments within the time period that is required to take medication. Both offices suggested I go to East Hampton Urgent care. I googled their site and it said hours were until 5:00pm. I also called to make sure and their message also said 5:00 pm. I left at 4 to make it with enough time to get there. As I pulled up at 4:40pm a female nurse? assistant? office manager was locking the door and I said to her I need to come in. She said the doctor said no more patients for today. I told her why I was there and that I was just at the end of the period of when the medication would be effective. She said I'm sorry. Then I said but your website and your telephone message said you close at 5:00pm. She said you have to be here by 4:30 which was not mentioned on the message. It was 4:40 and she said sorry! Rude and unprofessional on the part of the urgent care. Don't waste your time going there.

At 5:30 PM on a Friday night, I walked into a random doctor's office and asked the receptionist if there was anyone available to see me. Although the office was set to close at 6:00 PM, one of the doctors overheard my situation and graciously agreed to help. After filling out some standard paperwork, I was promptly placed in a room. Dr. Dempsey came in shortly after and asked detailed, thoughtful questions about my symptoms. His nurse assisted him, and within minutes, they diagnosed me with the flu. Dr. Dempsey's team even called White's Pharmacy in East Hampton to ensure my prescription could be filled right away. Quick, knowledgeable service from a caring doctor is rare these days, and Dr. Dempsey exceeded all expectations. When you call, they sound indifferent and bored you need to pry information out of staff. If you ask for refills or test results they act like you are a big intrusion. For example, they have no patient portal that you can log on and find test results. If you ask you you will see at your next appt you will be told Joanne but may see someone else. That's fine they are all good but consistency of care is good too. If you call a few times in a row to clarify something you may get a snarky remark like "yet again." It's as if you're bothering them by trying to take care of yourself. I would say the professionals act professional, the others are who they are. You overhear comments like they can't wait for summer people to leave and so on. Wait time is short and generally service smooth. There is a doctor associated with this practice but never seen him/ her. Never been given the chance to make appt. with them. Usually takes a few calls to get a message through hardly get a call back on results unless it's a ca. Screen. In person though is fine. This is a short term solution as I look for a full time physician where I really feel comfortable and welcomed.

Once you…read morehave one you never know if you will be taken in within 10-15 min or 45 min of waiting as often happened. The reception staff who answer phones and sit at desk are rude and uncaring. I had a death in my family - they were aware of this and showed no sympathy. They were blasting horrible tv programs in waiting area and talking among themselves about some patient making jokes! Once i had to get an exam with nurses (not dr Collins as that required 6 months of waiting) and they were not professional and said i will need minor surgery. They made an apointment at SH Hospital. When i finally saw Dr Collins for pre-op right before scheduled surgery --- it turned out to be wrong and i did not require surgery!
