I visited around Christmastime, so everything was decorated nicely and festively. They sell all kinds of cute ornaments, and I was this close to purchasing one, but then remembered that I have children who break everything, so I stopped myself from getting a $35 glass ornament. They sell lots of boutique clothing at Bliss -- mostly women's clothing and kids' clothing, but many of the pieces are unique and imported. I could spend a lot of time (and money) at Bliss aka The Marketplace. It's located in downtown Sturgeon Bay, and walkable to all kinds of shops and restaurants.

The Settlement Shops were one such stop. I was on the lookout for a little souvenir to take home, and I can always use more earrings. Bianca has a great selection of funky, cute glass earrings and pendants along with a variety of clothes, accessories and gifts. The woman behind the counter thought the four of us (who vary considerably in height, hair color and body type) might be sisters, which amused us. She was friendly without being overbearing. And she had a nice variety of items that were priced well, perfect for a little something without feeling like you're blowing your budget. So when I found some adorable glass earrings it was only a matter of asking my girlfriends which ones. After consulting them I now have a cute pair of earrings and a great memory of our weekend road trip.

It's just fun, staffed by lovely, enthusiastic people who want to help you be a better sous-chef, chef, short-order cook or anyone who aspires to do great things in the kitchen. You could literally walk-in having never cooked in a kitchen and walk out ready to serve a homecooked meals. Their prices are reasonable and selection impossibly large. It has a museum quality to it as when you are in the back you are just sorta' herded along to the next art installation! :--) It's a not miss when in Sturgeon Bay!
