We came to watch the Fifa26 Mexico vs Korea. They definitely have a lot of screen to watch the game. Small little fun arcade was part of the restaurant. Reminds me a mini Dave and Buster type but more chill and vibes. Definitely a place to hang out with your friends and co workers. We ordered two drinks: sparkling paloma and prickly pear margarita. It's definitely not out favorite and it just taste alcohol or too diluted . We drank it just to drink it. For food we ordered chips and guacamole, truffle fries, buffalo hot wings, Brussels sprouts and a classic burger with a beer. Overall, food is decent in your typical American sport bar food. I want to start by saying that for whatever my opinion matters (and it should matter very little), this is just how I came away feeling about this place. Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. Sat at the bar on a Tuesday evening (it was dead in there, 7 people max sitting at the bar, INCLUDING us) and it took probably 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by one of the TWO bartenders working. When we finally were greeted, the interaction was shallow and brief. All we asked for was a couple small plates and one beer and then asked if they could throw on the hockey game since there were 6 TV screens going. The bartender said he'll see what he can do and nothing else after that. Food and beer came out so by that time we just propped our phone up to stream the game online, then had to grab our own silverware and napkins from a nearby table. A hidden gem with a killer draft list! Finding this spot is a bit of a scavenger hunt. It's tucked behind the apartment complex next to the climbing gym. The space is massive, both inside and out. We spent a lovely evening by the outdoor fire pits and the atmosphere was perfect. Pro Tip: Use the QR code at the table! It makes group dining seamless since everyone can order and pay for their own tab instantly. Food Highlight: I had the Surf & Turf quesadilla (brisket and shrimp), which was seasoned perfectly. It came with pickled jalapeños, guac, and a great house made green salsa. It paired really well with a Scrimshaw Pilsner from their impressive tap list. Went to the hostess station, asked if we could sit at one of the vacant high top tables in the bar area and have a couple drinks....which could have led to dinner. It's a large location with a lot of outdoor room, a game area (for kiddos), a small bowling alley, some regular seating as well as a good bar area. The staff have been good too. It's really cool that Tarantula Hill Brewing makes beer there as well (Liquid Candy is my go-to for a New England IPA/Hazy). They have a pretty good happy hour as well. I love their Soft Pretzel sticks, the Bo-beau's Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Sausage Sampler for appetizers (not all at once!) The pizzas, burgers and salads are also good. Depending on the time of day, there can be a lot of children around, so that's something to keep in mind. For a good place for groups, with beer, appetizers and food, this is the place. read more

Just wanted to write this review to say a BIG THANK YOU to Draft Republic in SM for having a speakeasy pop-up for the movie, Wicked. I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. All I was thinking of while walking up to Draft Republic is that this place is massive. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. This is my go to place for group gatherings. The place is big and has different games in different areas. There are multiple sections for both indoor and outdoor dining. It's nice that they have a QR code for each table. We can scan the QR code and order whatever I want for my group and pay for only my tab, no need to wait for the check and split the check among many people/groups. It's very convenient. Just left Draft Republic, and while the food and arcade were totally fine, the service absolutely tanked the experience. Our waitress was easily the biggest frustration of the night. She acted like she had somewhere better to be every time she came to the table. Instead of offering suggestions or helping us decide, she just stood there staring at us like we were wasting her time. The food was fantastic with large portions and came out perfectly prepared and hot, the wings were juicy and the garlic ketchup was unique for the fries. Our waitress checked on us frequently and kept our drinks filled. There's a bowling alley, a giant foosball table, and arcade games. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch a game too (we went to also watch a game). Parking is kind of a pain since you either need to park at the parking deck or on the street. But otherwise there's a huge indoor and outdoor space with a lively atmosphere. ----TL;DR---- Pros: great service, large portions, food quality was fantastic. Service was attentive Cons: parking is not right up next to the restaurant so if you have any mobility issues like wheelchair or walking issues it may be a little bit of a distance. Came with ranch dressing which also is in one small container. Huge disappointment was the nachos. Dry, very little sour cream and jalapeños then salsa and guacamole came in the same small container that the ketchup came in. Small amount of black beans and very little cheese. The chips were supposedly corn but tasted and look more flour to me but worse was how dry the nachos were. Anyways, could only eat half of them before giving up. Don't understand why the host put all the customers in one area making it overly crowded when there were lots of open tables elsewhere. Beers were nothing special but the prices were reasonable. Worse thing is parking...maybe 6 spots in front which means driving around the block to find the parking structure that you have to pay for because they don't validate. The signs in the parking lot don't direct you to Draft Republic...no ADA paths, several sets of stairs to navigate.
