The sandwich was great & the corn chips were good, but what happened to the homemade guacamole? no wonder it's now in a tiny plastic container because noone would want more than that tiny spoonful of guacamole. You can either order food using the QR code at whatever table you sit at, or order at cashier. The figgy piggy flatbread was so yummy, the balance between sweet and salty was perfect and the size was good to share between two people! The buffalo chicken sliders... my oh my were they delicious! Been here a few times now and every time has been great! Food was wonderful (pork sliders with really good pickles, hot honey pizza, charcuterie board, buffalo wings). All great. And great drink options for myself since I'm not a beer drinker. Had a cider, mead, sangria, hard kombucha and seltzer. Love that you can basically build your own flight. Poor communication and lackluster customer service during my 6/19/2026 visit. Relaxing on the outdoor patio, we were approached by a staff member at 5PM and told we had to leave the area because a private party was starting. We were not notified about this when we checked in at 4PM and chose outdoor seating. We left the area and checked out. I told the checkout staff member I had a poor experience and was dissatisfied because I had to leave the outdoor patio with no advance notice. I received a lackluster, "You should have been told" and "I'll let them know" in response. No attempt to rectify the situation by finding us alternate seating or offering to make things right on a future visit. Mistakes happen in business, but good businesses own their mistakes and offer to rectify them. read more

Other things we tried were the pretzel bun pork BBQ sliders (3 per order), house salad, pizza flatbread, chips and salsa + guac all pretty good. Iv been here twice now and both times were a 10/10, from the staff, to food and drinks everything is awesome. I love the self pouring because I get to try different drinks I usually wouldn't because I don't like to commit to something I might not like. The Sangria was so delicious and their flat bread pizza with ranch was VERY good. They also offer a bunch of card and board games which makes the time even better. This place is such a fun restaurant to hang out with your friends! They have a self-pour tap area for beer, kombucha, cider, and seltzer. You use your credit card to start a tab which is connected to a card. I love that you can see exactly how much you are pouring, and how much it costs, in real time. For drinks, I got: -Julian Hard Cider in the Apple Pie Flavor ($0.59 per oz): This was by far my favorite. -Everything Naughty White Chocolate Stout: This had notes of white chocolate and coffee in it. For food, my friends and I ordered: -Truffle Parm Tots ($12): The generous amount of tater tots was topped with truffle, truffle aioli, and parmesan. We loved this so much that we ordered another one. -Nachos de granero ($10): This came with nacho cheese, pico de gallo, beans, corn, and jalapeños. There was a side of guac and salsa as well. This was good but got soggy pretty quickly. -Figgy Piggy Flatbread ($14): This had prosciutto, fig spread, basil, and balsamic reduction. This was my favorite flatbread of the three that we got. -Butcher's Block Flatbread ($12): This was similar to a meat lovers' pizza since it had pepproni, salami, bacon, prosciutto, mozzarella, and parmesan. -BAM Flatbread ($12): This had bacon, green apple, sharp cheddar, and cinnamon-maple. It is a self serve tap room with a variety of local & non-local beers & they also have a smaller selection of ciders, wine & seltzers, something for everyone. We came for Wednesday trivia at 630p & had a blast! We enjoyed this spot so much that we came back for a Sunday Funday & were excited to see that they had alcoholic & non-alcoholic slushies, perfect for the summer heat in Esco. They have a food menu serving salads, pizzas, tots & more. We loved their Truffle Tots. It is located in the corner of an apartment complex with indoor & outdoor seating. This is a fantastic spot to grab a beer and a bite to eat when in North County. The beer is self-serve. When you open a tab, you get a card that is tied to your name and used to activate the self serve beer. Beer is charged by the ounce and they have a solid variety of IPAs, pale ales, and even spiked kombucha. The food is delicious. We ordered the tater tots, the nachos, Figgy Piggy flatbread pizza, Butchers Block flatbread pizza, and the BAM flatbread pizza. The flatbreads were the star of the show. They are each cut into 10-12 small pieces so they were perfect for sharing. My favorite was the BAM which had bacon, apple, and maple and reminded my east coast native friend of a beautiful fall day in Vermont. Food can be ordered at the cash register or via the QR code app where you can also pay the bill. Vibes here are immaculate. There's warm indoor seating and also cozy outdoor seating around a fireplace. They have trivia nights around 6 pm and prizes given to the top 3 teams! It gave dinner a fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend getting here before 6 pm as the place was packed by the time trivia night started. I come to Escondido frequently, whether visiting friends or hitting the range at Vineyard or Hodges. I'm adding Barn Door Public House to my list of go to Escondido dinner spots. read more

So, I really like this place, good selection of beer and food, but really was disappointed this time- which sucks because the staff was so very nice about it! unfortunately there was a private party on the patio (all of it!) and we were basically turned away because we had a dog. While I understand; it basically made me never want to return. One of those things that just leaves an icky taste. I am so happy we have a cool newer place in Escondido. We were greeted by a friendly staff who explained the way it works. They link your credit card to another card that you use at the beer taps to pay for the amount you want. Very cool if you want to try a lot of beers. They also have small plates like flat bread and really good port sliders! The space is really cool too, with both indoor and outdoor options. I love self pour beer places. Was happy to see one open close to where I live. This place did not disappoint! Food: - Grilled cheese bagel sandwich. Loved the sandwich itself but did not love the pairing with the maple syrup. It seemed out of place. I think this dish would be better paired with a marinara sauce. Who doesn't love grilled cheese with tomato cream soup? A marinara dipping sauce or some other tomato based sauce would make this dish a hit. Would have to give this dish 4/5 because of the miss with maple syrup. - Margarita flat bread. PERFECT. No complaints on this one. Soft pillowy bread with plenty of toppings to make a very pleasurable bite. 5/5! Ambiance: Very cute! At night, the fire pit creates a very cozy environment. Needed something to eat after an afternoon of music & wine out in San Pasqual and found this on the map on our way home. I thought if it looks good we'll stop and if not we'll keep going somewhere we know. Well, in summary all I can say is WINNER WINNER PULLED PORK DINNER!!! The entire staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. From the host that explained how everything worked (it's a pour your own) to everyone (yes, cooks and servers) making and serving really great food! We had the Pulled Pork Sliders on a Pretzel Bun that had a perfect meat to bun ratio. The pretzel buns were superb in that they were soft and not the typical hard as a rock buns you normally get. We also got the 'MELALICIOUS' flatbread (Pear, Salami, Mozzarella, Ricotta , Honey Drizzle) that was equally crave-able. I'm not really a big beer guy but it's great that you pour your own using a card that's attached to your credit card. You can pour a spot and try something and frankly I think it's faster and more efficient than doing this all through a bartender. Find the one ya like and fill'er up! I found some non-IPA's that I liked and went great with our food. Lastly while the place is somewhat small it's laid out really well and with an outside are with a fire pit, plenty of spacious seating and nice wood pellet heaters that were regularly filled and gave off a warm glow that was really nice. Do yourself a favor and check it out. We will definitely be back much sooner than later! PS .... If you know me you know a) I'm diabetic and the pretzel buns/flatbread was nicely portioned so I could enjoy them without worry, and b) I'm usually too hungry to take any pictures. Came here recently for trivia and really liked the spot - decent parking and well-situated for our ifferent groups to travel to. You can order at the counter or through a QR code and then they'll deliver the food to your table. I ordered the nachos and my husband had the jerk chicken - we both liked our order though were less than impressed with the pickled onions that came on the side of his. I'm not a big beer drinker so I was pleased to have the delicious passionfruit wine cocktail and I also tried the dragonfruit lemonade seltzer. Much-needed new spot in the south Center City Parkway neighborhood. Pour your own beverages had some variety for non-beer peeps. I think I saw a sangria and there was definitely seltzer. Most beers were priced at a reasonable 50 cents per ounce, which means a *real* pint (hard to actually find in the wild) is $8. You just park your billing card top edge up in the slot below between two taps. What we ate was good. Friend and I didn't even finish the charcuterie board, which was a reasonable $20. Nice patio outside with a fire pit. Great choice for fair weather. Parking was odd and the bathroom is in the next building, so allow some time for both. Looking forward to my next trip. read more

Situated on the corner of a side street, Barn Door Public House is visible from Centre City Pkwy. Some street parking is available in front, as well as a parking lot in the back. Layout in interesting, with the kitchen in an out-building at the corner, the barn doors on an opposite end building housing the self-pour taps & some indoor seating, & an outdoor beer garden sandwiched between. It's self-service for beers (& a few seltzers, ciders, kombucha, or wine), naturally. Go to the counter in the barn door building, swipe a credit card, & get a card that activates the taps. Pour whatever you like to your heart's content. Food from a limited menu is also ordered at the same counter. I tried the "Butcher's Block" Flatbread, which was basically an extra meat & cheese not-pizza. For a place that recently opened, it was pretty packed on a Saturday evening. Nearly all the seating inside & out was taken. My food took a while. Which just gave me more time to explore the taps. As mentioned above, I do really like self-pour taps. If anything, I wish Barn Door Public House had more. Once my Flatbread arrived, I did really like that too. I felt its food to price value was decent. But it's the self-pour taps that bring to me an establishment such as Barn Door Public House. I felt the tap selection was good. I appreciate being able to freely try whatever is on tap. & being able to pour more or less of what I end up liking more or less. Hello, I was at this Brewery this Saturday, very unique style of service, you open a credit tab, then they issue you a card per person, that tracks all the ounces you actually drink, you serve yourself that was amazing and fun, of course there was a few employees to help you with any questions you have, we ordered some appetizers tasty and good, we sat inside homie style nice and clean, the outdoors seemed also cool, but was a bit chilly, the service was great, I guess the only challenge was that you had to walk a ways for the bathroom in a GYM style location, we will be back in 2 weeks lol. read more
