Dragon Den Roll. Spicy crab, shrimp tempura, cucumbers, ......delicious!!

Surpassed my expectations. Love good Chinese food but despise mediocre places. This was an absolute pleasure. The staff was very attentive and while listening could tell they love their customers and knew all the regulars well. Food was hot fresh and very tasteful.

We had been searching high and low for Chinese restaurants near our home. Turned to trusty Yelp ad were lead to Dragon Den for tasty goodness. This was definitely a Gen. Tso's kinda night...we each ordered a different variety and really appreciated that they even HAD options to choose from. I got a chef's special general tso's with veggies, Tai Qing Chicken, and my husband got the Dragon and Phoenix (general tso' s chicken and shrimp and veggies in a brown sauce). I really liked mine and though the meat wass pretty tender and sauce flavorful. Hubby felt the same, but thought it was strange that his mixed in veggies were in a different sauce than gen tso's. It made for a strange flavor combo. I must add that I LOVED the wonton soup that also came with crispy wonton strips. It was awesome. After seeing rave reviews about sushi, we were puzzled and bummed that they said they were not serving sushi when we called during dinner time. Staffing, perhaps?

Spicy tuna toll..always served at the right temperature and not overly spicy for most. I always add a good dollop of wasabi!

Our go to for the basics. Tea is always hot, portions are generous. Can't go wrong with cashew chicken or the house special fried rice. My favorite is the spicy tuna roll. They do not have a large sushi menu. But I'd put that roll up with any fancy restaurant. 2nd go to is the Singapore Mei Fun. 9 of 10 times richly spiced and served HOT! The egg foo young is GENEROUS sized. Service has been excellent 4.5 out of 5 times. But always with a smile and quick service or explanation.

The pros: food comes out super fast, like Jimmy John's-fast. Granted I was one of maybe 2 customers on a Monday night so it probably did not take long to make my meal. However, it felt like everything came out within 5-6 minutes and it was steaming hot which is nice. I had only ordered Hot & Sour soup (quart $3.50) and a Chicken Pad Thai / Drunken Noodle dish ($9.50). The price point was decent for the portions and doesn't feel like it would break the bank. The Hot & Sour soup was a bit more on the sour side but some people might like that. I like mine a little sweeter as well but overall, I enjoyed it. It was decent, not the best I've had but good enough. The cons: depending how you look at it, the food was a bit bland. But that's maybe a good thing if you are not looking for a lot of sodium in the typical Chinese cooking. But because of this, the taste of both dishes don't seem to quite reach the bar. The Pad Thai/Drunken Noodle combo dish wasn't quite of either dishes. It has the noodles of the Pad Thai but contained mushrooms and green bell peppers which is different and I suppose can be used for the Drunken Noodle but they did not enhanced the flavors. It did not had the sweetness of a Pad Thai nor the spice kick of Drunken Noodles so for me this dish was a miss. Overall, the place was well kept and neat, and the service was nice and courteous so I give it 3 stars. It needed to hit the bar on food taste a bit more for me to get more stars. I am likely try other places before I go back here for another visit.

In this is the jalapeño roll, dragons den roll with the prettiest set up

They have the freshest tasting ingredients for their sushi. You can taste it with every bite. We were greeted immediately& instantly attended to. It was 2pm beginning of lunch rush, we got there first it was quiet with the tv on we really enjoyed our time. Love going there 10/10 crab ragoons 10/10 sushi chef - don't forget to tip

I am vegan and they can make good vegan options! The server was very nice and accommodating! Honestly amazing food for the price.

Ok, came here with the wife and was impressed by the huge menu. She got a couple sushi rolls, which she says for Knoxville, were ok. Probably three stars on the sushi. Looked great, but for the price, were just average. I had one of their signature plates, which was a concoction of all sorts of meats and seafood. Not bad. Came with a little rice and I opted for the soup over an egg roll. The hot and sour soup was pedestrian. Service is pleasant, knowledgeable and quick.

The restaurant was still there and it was very tasty. We took a seat at the bar and it took my mom and I a few minutes so decide. I got a rainbow roll and a salmon/avocado roll. Being from Portland OR, I am used to non sushi track being significantly more expensive. The total for my rolls was $16+$7.50=$23.50. Not only is the total low, the rolls were twice as large as they are in Portland. I was very happy and quite satisfied with these two rolls. Hopefully I will make it back to Knoxville within two years if not sooner. Anaba is a great restaurant with excellent service and ambiance. Recommend highly.

This was probably our first time back in over a year, and it seems as if it is starting to go downhill. The food was okay, not as good as it used to be and kind of bland. The rice on my sushi was undercooked and the spring rolls fell apart really easily. The pricing is okay and they do have deals on certain days. We were charged an extra $2 for fried rice for hibachi chicken which was never stated on the menu with the hibachi options and it actually stated the hibachi was served with your choice of white or fried rice. When we asked the server she showed us the section for "rice bowls" saying the up-charge was shown there and insisted it was a $2 upcharge.. which was kind of deceiving. Overall it was okay, don't know that we would choose it again though.

I think the best thing on the menu as far as the sushios is what they call the Hall of Fame rule. It's basically a chef's choice you can give them your flavor profile like spicy / not spicy / no cream cheese, etc and they won't make it to your liking they'll also tell you exactly which fish was flown in and it's the freshest so you really can't go wrong. Staff is really really helpful and they have excellent bartenders that really understand how things pair with beer wine and alcohol. Speaking of alcohol if they have an excellent selection of Japanese whiskeys and we'll guide you to one that fits your flavor profile. Don't be afraid to ask questions and they will be glad to help you out The atmosphere is very hip but not so hip that it's uncomfortable if you want good conversation go sit at the bar area. But they also have boots and seating around the corner. Like all good sushi places they also have seats at the sushi counter all those those fill up fast so you might want to get there before the busy time which is roughly anywhere from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. they close a little bit later on the weekends at 10:00 p.m. so if you like a later evening experience they've got that vibe too. Don't sleep on the yakitori side of the menu either the Japanese street food is really really good. The chicken skewers and the pork belly are especially tasty especially with beer!
