Sauce on chow mien was just corn starch jelly, (disgusting) and chicken mien contained just flavorless noodles, and not one fresh bean sprout. Never will we go there again. Luxe was closed so we came here to get wor wonton soup. It was full of extra "protein" aka bugs. It looks like they ripped the broccoli head from the ground without washing it and dumped it in the soup. Scooping them out and swishing the soup around uncovered more bugs. not good at all, feeling ripped off On New Years Eve. Ordered chow mein chop suey S&S pork and S&S chicken balls. Paid almost 50 bucks for this. The chow mein was not just bland, it was tasteless. They chop suey was tasteless too with their watered down solution they had the vegetables floating in. Never in my life have I seen this before. The ss pork was disgusting. The thick crust had totally saturated the ss sauce. There was no sauce just tough pork surrounded by this caked on mess. It tasted as bad as it looked The Chicken balls were horrible to. They might of had 4 oz total of chicken in all the huge balls but I doubt it. They used a pancake type batter that had way too much baking powder in it. That was all you could taste. They were inedible. How you can put so little chicken into a ball and make the ball so large is beyond me. So you couldn't even eat the chicken because there was none to speak of. Out of 3 of us, not one of us liked it. Not one of us could even finish our plates. We got no more than a quarter into eating (Maybe 2 bites per dish) and just couldn't eat it. Each bite tasted worse then the last bite. And we were all hungry too. I gave some to my grandson the next day and he couldn't eat it either. I ended up feeding it to the crows. Had a $8.97 lunch time special pickup. Sweet sour pork, chow mein and mixed vegetables. Restaurant was clean. Seemed super old school and basic. Nice employees to help me. Food was pretty good. Chow mein uses thinner noodles with good flavour. Mixed veggies were crisp and good. Sour pork was lightly sauced in more of a brown sauce than usual red sauce and very crispy outter shell. Worst Chinese food I've ever had. I'm not one to throw out food but tonight was an absolute exception. My regular place was closed so called I ordered combo C togo with an egg roll. Service was great but oh my gosh the food. My meal breakdown is... Egg roll - not terrible, a basic egg roll Chicken Fried Rice - incredibly bland, no taste to it Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls - almost no sauce on it, over cooked, tiny pieces of chicken with piles of gross, chewy dough Beef Chop Suey - without a doubt the worst part of the meal (or any Chinese meal ever). The beef was slimy, actually disgusting looking and rubbery tasting. Wouldn't surprise me if they cooked it this morning and left it sitting out all day. It tasted horrible. Clean place where you have meal quite comfortably. I have ordered 3 dishes for my family. Chicken Fried Rice - comes green onions, eggs and green peas. Curry Chicken Fried Rice - This is more tastes like Japanese curry cubes. Tastes okey. Chicken Chow mein - This is for kids. Sadly kids did not like it at all. Even as adult I did not enjoy it too. If I were Jason Bourne, situational awareness would have kicked in as soon as I walked into this joint. However, I'm not. I'm just a dude, and a fat dude at that. I ordered a Dinner Combo B, but substituted Chicken Chow Mein for Pork Fried Rice. Somehow, when I got home and opened my lukewarm styrofoam container I was greeted with fried rice... Of the chicken variety. Such a disappointment. The lady even repeated it back to me "Pork. Fried. Rice" Everything tasted like dirty fryer oil. Coincidentally, I have a sneaking suspicion they need to clean their deep fryer. Seriously, this food tastes like what I smelled like after cleaning the deep fryers after a double shift at the pub I worked at in college. Things really took a turn when I got to the egg roll. Greasy on the outside, mushy on the inside. Like the Chinese Food version of the morally righteous undercover cop in every mob movie ever made. I powered through the egg roll into the Sweet & Sour Pork. Their incredibly unflavourful sauce did nothing to mask the pungent taste of dirty fryer oil. I'm actually wondering if they fried this in used oil they bought on the cheap from the Mr. Lube across the street... Then coated it in corn syrup, food die and a few drops of canned pineapple juice. I asked for delivery with no bell peppers in anything. She agreed. 2 of the 4 dishes had peppers in them. I called and she said I was wrong, there was no peppers in one of the dishes. I said I'm looking at them. She went and asked the kitchen, came back and said ...uh, sorry. Sorry?!? 2 of the dishes were inedible and somehow a word makes it all better? The spicy Szechuan-style chicken is delicious (albeit not that spicy), and the lettuce wraps and chicken fried rice were great, too. Prices are good and portion sizes are generous. We ordered delivery around 4:30pm and our food was delivered within 15 minutes. Couldn't be happier with our delivery experience! read more

Ordered Cashew Chicken & Vegetables, NO cashews in sight, crappy frozen veggies used for the "vegetables" Ordered BBQ Pork with bean curd dish, got a big plate of soggy tofu with 4 tiny slices of half raw pork. Ordered Chicken Chowmein and got a huge portion of old soggy noodles half the dish was sprouts and I swear to god literaly 2 smal shavings of chicken that we had to dig through the pile to locate. read more

I couldn't believe when I saw the negative reviews! Everytime I have been here the food has been fresh and delicious. The decor is simple and elegant, and the service is always good. When I first tried this restaurant, we went for dinner with a group of 10 and were impressed. We went back another day for lunch. The lunch specials are amazing! They not only have the usual combos, but a huge selection of item dishes for around $5. We decided to pick 3 and share (there was 3 of us). We chose mixed veggies with chicken and cashews, fried rice (fat) noodles with beef and black bean sauce, and beef and broccoli on crispy chow mein. We also shared a wonton soup to start. When the food came it was on big oval plates- the same Id expect when ordering chinese food for dinner at a typical chinese restaurant. Everything was delicious and the bill was less than $25. Highly recommend this restaurant any time, but especially for the lunch special. read more

Believe it or not this is the second time we have ordered, how dumb am I! Thought we would give it a go thinking it was a one off but it clearly wasn't ! Nothing had any flavour! We ordered Szchewan prawns , contained 8 prawns and what actually turned out to be 2 prawns and 6 small shrimp, it had no taste and literally had a large onion and 3 peppers chopped up. Chicken chow mein tasted like it had been boiled , and not sure who came up with their recipe for ginger beef but they need to go back to school. Itty bitty pieces of beef that look like they have been triple battered. Yuck! And the worst was their lame excuse for deep fried wontons! When we opened the container it actually looked like they just fried wonton wrappers but upon close inspection it has less than a corn kernel size of something , couldn't even tell you what it was. It's clear they are cheating out on good ingredients to make their food look bigger than it is. Stay clear and don't waste your money, you'd have a better experience at the fast food chain Ming and Sing up the road. read more
